May 2022 IC Mingle

MAIN NAVIGATION
1. WELCOMING COMMITTEE
The influx of fresh Lost Souls means the factions need to have a little welcoming party for them. The leaders realize things have been chaotic in the city. So some recreational activities are in order. All Lost Souls will receive a message from their respective faction leaders with orders to go have some fun.
The Shuten Clan are given an advance on their first paycheck and told to go to the Celestial Phoenix Casino. A big sign on the half boarded up door proudly proclaims UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. What happened to the old management? It doesn't matter and stop asking questions! The important part is that all games and machines are half-price and there are special prizes available in exchange for your chips and tokens. Games range from the traditional Western style (poker, roulette, slots) to Japanese favorites (cee-lo, koi koi, cho-han).
As for prizes, they have a selection of designer goods, including some particularly nice bracelets, necklaces, and watches!
The Tamamo Clan are given a considerable number of drink vouchers for Crimson Moon Karaoke, where they can sing their hearts out and while absolutely smashed. Private rooms are cheap to rent and they even offer a special discount for groups of two or more. The karaoke machines have any songs you could possibly want, which is a little suspicious, but don't question it! Just get drunk and have fun. By all means, extend your time as you wish and drink up to get in the proper mood. This is an important bonding opportunity.
Oh yeah, as an important note: the rooms are soundproof. You can get as loud as you like, be it with singing or... something else. Don’t do anything Tenko-hime wouldn’t do!
Members of The Sutoku Alliance are given tickets to Fiance of the Funeral Procession at the Pluto Theatre and Cafe. The tickets include free food at the cafe, including beer. Sure, the star may not be a Sutoku member but that doesn't matter too much: getting butts into seats at Sutoku-owned theaters is what’s important. The Daitengu rented the theater out for the day, so there is plenty of time to mill around both before and after the show.
Make a day, or night, of it!
A funeral-based romantic comedy melodrama as the viewing fare is probably a tasteless joke on the Daitengu's part. But hey, y'all aren't still mad that they crashed their own funeral and then took off laughing, right?
Right?
The Department of the Enma members are told that they're going to be doing a team-building exercise. What exactly does that mean? That's right, it's community cleanup time! You get to clean up cans and trash in the street! You get the honor of using a department-issued bike with an attached cart to wheel around the city and pick up trash! How exciting! Teamwork is encouraged, of course. Teams that collect enough garbage will get one (1) voucher for mini-golf.
Please be aware of the local homeless population as you work, they won’t be happy to see you. They normally collect the cans in the mornings as a meager source of income that you’ll be dipping into. They're probably just not happy with Enma officials in general though. Sorry!
2. IT'S RAINING, IT'S POURING...
By the time you're done with your faction-sponsored fun, the sky has decided to open up. Hope you brought your umbrella! The rain is bad enough that walking home might not be an option right now. So take refuge in one of the many nearby nightlife spots.
Not in your faction's home territory? Doesn't matter! Make some friends outside your group or maybe get into a fight and cause some trouble. There's always the third option of ignoring everyone and drinking yourself silly instead! The rain has to let up eventually… right?
Hopefully you aren't caught near one of the cursed Haniwa figures that have been popping up around town. Their aura really dampens the mood and may even start to cause some dramatic and frightening hallucinations if you and your rain-stranded friends stay near them for too long. But remember! Do not break the figurine. Just try to move it somewhere else? And hopefully not get drenched in the process.

Welcoming Committee
[...Some faces are not so new, to his pleasure. He feels before he sees the presence of that boy who he’d found clinging to a tree the other day, a specimen that interested him and that was already unfortunate enough to have found himself indebted to Matoba. Not that he was likely to need to cash that in, tonight.]
Keep your eyes peeled, [Matoba says suddenly, appearing behind Tama as he inspects... the butter pump by the popcorn stand?? Okay you do you, buddy.] You might notice something very interesting on screen, during the movie. [This is just how he says hi, apparently. By ...not.]

jack the ripper | fate/strange fake | tamamo newbie
[ upon summoning, the grail is gracious enough to give the servant whatever info is necessary for it to exist in the time and place that it is summoned and survive in the war. because of this, as a servant that was summoned in 21st century united states, jack feels like they have a good enough amount of knowledge about how to pass in a city, whether it's snowfield or hell.
that is, until they're more or less given a crap ton of drink vouchers and taken to a karaoke. jack stares around the room with a raised brow, trying to take in and understand what they're meant to do here, aside from...well...drink. ]
Excuse me if I sound antiquated but... what is this for? What's the machine for?
[ a pause. ]
Are these all to spend in one night?
[ they raise the vouchers. ]
2. raining
[ walking the streets during the night is risky, much more so in the rain. however, jack feels almost at home as they try to shelter themselves, not only from the rain, but from the strange little statues that are appearing more and more often. they may no longer have access to their master's magecraft but, their on instinct as a killer tells jack what they need to know.
best stay away from those, they tell themselves.
and of course, if jack sees anyone else coming close to them, they'll try to flag them with a small, pleasant smile. ]
I do suggest you leave those alone, you know?

Tenshi Hinanawari | Touhou Project | Tamamo Newbie
Tenshi had never done Karaoke. She'd never seen one of these things before in her life, and she was hardly that close with Sumireko, who might have been the only person to have ever seen them. So, the drink vouchers and directions sort of confused her. But she shrugged and went along with it.
That was an hour ago.
She was three drinks in of something she'd been assured didn't taste peach flavored, and at this point she was utterly butchering Meatloaf at the top of her lungs. She had never heard the song before, and kind of understood the whole concept of following the worlds, but she kept falling into fits of giggles and her voice was really loud. Thank god for soundproof walls. However, her compatriots for the evening were not so lucky. If they were smart, they'd have invested in earplugs. They'd need them.
2) Hanawi in the Rain (Creepy haniwa in link)
She sobered up quick. There was a haniwa staring right back at her. She leaned over and her eyes came down to beady, thin lines while she pursed her lips. There was a feeling of overwhelming, depressing and unpleasant, almost nauseating sensations washing over her right then, but she just kept staring.
Suddenly, she whipped up and stepped back, glaring at the figure as she bumped into someone. She whirled around and then caught sight of them, grinning in a way that really wasn't healthy. "Oh, I think someone's wanting to get beat up!" So, funny story? She didn't mean the person she was talking to. This was about the Haniwa, but maybe she should have clarified that? Especially since the best weapon she had on her person right now was a bokken, and wooden swords didn't do that much damage even if you were good with them.
Wildcard)
Open for most anything. Feel free to hit me up.

He's too on edge, too wary. The figurine's terrible negative aura grates on his mind and he wishes he could do anything at all to shut it out. (Maybe he does need an eyepatch.)
"No, I think not," Kimmuriel replies warily, taking a few steps back and reaching into his pocket. He doesn't have much more than a switchblade and his kinetic barrier at his disposal, but more than that, fighting in the rain means he'd get soaked through and doing laundry is such a hassle.

[And, well, it makes way for the first bimonthy new recruit testing.]
[In other words, how much food can Ethan steal from the unlimited pile before he's noticed? He doesn't have his invisibility so he's relying entirely on his own sleights of hand and the ability to swipe stuff while someone's taking advantage of Minato's willingness to listen.]
[It's technically not an end to free food, it's more just... huh, you swear you had three pastries and now there's only two. It's up to Minato to catch the culprit or just let Ethan keep picking off his table bit by bit.]

karaoke, let's start this off right
Hazel honestly hadn't even been intending to hang around very long when she'd first gotten here. maybe scalp the drink vouchers, laugh at some drunk idiots trying to sing youkai!Celine Dion, and then hit the road. but she'd noticed that the machines really did seem to have every song you could think of, and, well...the rooms were soundproof, after all. was there really anything wrong with getting one to yourself and indulging in some really trashy pop fluff?
the answer is apparently yes, because god fucking forbid she just have a nice and normal time anywhere.
she's got no idea when Herlock showed up, who he is, if he's even a Lost Soul like her. it ultimately doesn't matter very much, though, because her reaction would have been unchanging regardless of how much information she had: she makes a choked noise of embarrassment and rage as she turns to spot this dude and immediately hurls the microphone directly at his head. incoming!]

kimmuriel | sutoku
[ Kimmuriel is staring intently and with some familiarity at the movie posters, which of course include glossy photos of the leading roles. ]
...he did say he was an actor.
[ If you're not catching him staring creepily at the posters, you might find him hanging around, strangely reluctant to go into the theater itself for no apparent reason. He's fiddling idly with his sunglasses, which is probably relevant. ]
b. rain
[ Kimmuriel has been actually exerting himself in the last few weeks and thus has had to shop for a change of clothes that isn't his normal outfit. Terrible. He's dressed in faded traditional clothing, including a haori that's oversized enough that it mildly looks like he's drowning in it.
He's tucked away furtively in a corner, taking advantage of his small size to attempt to wait out the downpour, or at least wait until it gets a little less miserable. A battered secondhand umbrella sits folded at his feet, waiting to be opened and used.
Despite the terrible weather, he has an almost peaceful look on his face as he listens to the rain. It doesn't quite look like enjoyment, but it's a stark contrast from his otherwise emotionless demeanor. ]

[Matoba is not looking at the poster, but at the fistful of tickets in his one hand, cash in the other. He's counting off the sales he's made from non-Sutoku movie-goers so far.]
He wastes a lot of time on this silly job of his, but I suppose it isn't such a shame... It's paying off rather well here, isn't it?

[ It's ... this guy again, and he's exactly as mind bogglingly energetic and loud as before. Despite finding the attitude annoying, Megumi doesn't make any effort to avoid him, gradually wandering over when he's very rudely called out. In his hand he has one of the tickets they had given out, and from Leo's chatter he can discern that he's likely talking about the same movie. That would mean they're probably clan mates. At this point of time, he's yet to decide if that's a good thing or bad. ]
Some people might get pissed about spoilers.
[ Not him - he doesn't really care. It does sound like his noisy acquaintance is a little bit peeved at their situation, but that he can understand fully.
Anyway, he's ... looking at the state of the table now, the complete disarray it seems to be. What even happened here? ]

Enterprise (CV-6) | Azur Lane | Sutoku
[A theater that’s been mixed together with a café? There certainly are some rather nice places here; for a moment she almost forgot where she is. If it hadn’t been for the youkai around her she probably would have. That was all well and good either way- she couldn’t think of any better means of getting to know her new compatriots.
Or hopeful compatriots.
It would help if she was a bit more outgoing than she actually is. That was also fine, no matter what the most important thing here is the food. Mountains of food. Plates now stacked on plates as the Carrier scarfed down dish after dish after dish.]
Ah- sorry… I think I got carried away.
[She looked like she was already eyeing more, however.]
II – Rain
[Her nostrils flared as the scent of rainfall in the urban jungle filled her senses. The humidity, the chill that falling water brings with it, all of it familiar. It would be far more familiar if it had been at sea with rough waves and stormy skies ahead. Sitting at port or braving the open waters in the hopes of making it to her destination alive. The thrill of it, the beauty. It made her heartbeat faster at the memory.
But she wasn’t near the seas, was she?
In fact, Enty had no real idea of where she currently is. She currently doesn’t have an umbrella and the rain wasn’t letting up, if anything it was pouring harder. It doesn’t help that those Haniwa figurines were still hanging around. Drilling holes into her with their dark eyes.
What does help is that she at least has her great coat with her. Good for long voyages at sea, and just as trustful in this case.]
[WILDCARD]
[OOC: Feel free to hit me up with whatever~!]
I
[... the amount of free food was definitely a plus. Ethan's taking to very seriously "testing" the new recruits and by testing he means seeing how long he can get away with swiping food off their plates. His camouflage arts are still at a basic level so it's mostly just through slight of hand and making a grab when the person isn't looking.]
[So, time to test his wits and reflexes versus an aircraft carrier (not that he realizes).]

Bulleta | Darkstalkers | Enma newbie
[Does Bulleta have a license? Absolutely not. Is that going to stop her from tearing through the city (as much as the little department-issued scooters allow her to) like a bat out of…well, out of Hell? Again, absolutely not. If you don’t like her driving then get off the sidewalk!]
Wahahahaaa! Outta the way~!
[There she goes, zooming past (a little too close for comfort, tbqh.) She comes to a very action movie-esqe skid of a stop nearby and hops off, beaming in your direction.]
Goodness! That’s quite exhilarating, isn’t it!? Maybe I should invest in one of these for myself!
[Please don’t, actually.]
STAY TRASHY
Back off, this is mine!
[Bulleta seems to be in an argument with one of the homeless youkai, gently trying to push them back with her foot while they scramble from their seat on the ground and try to grab at the cans she is holding up in the air. The youkai yells:]
Fuckin’ Enma! Piss off and die!
[Bulleta’s expression turns into a tight and ominous smile.]
Ho? You want to say that again???
[There’s an unpleasant energy radiating from the scene and it ain’t ‘cause of any haniwa. Maybe you should intervene before things get real heated?]
A LITTLE CAN-TEST
[So there they were. Bulleta and her fellow Enma. Collecting trash. Thrilling stuff, really. Bulleta hasn’t been especially chatty, especially if her partner hasn’t been, but she eventually looks up at them with a cheerful smile.]
This is kind of a drag, isn’t it~? Hey hey, Why don’t we make a little game of it? Whoever collects the most in 5 minutes wins a prize!
LITTLE RED RAINY HOOD
[The sky opens up and starts pouring rather suddenly, catching Bulleta off guard. She hadn’t thought to bring an umbrella. She pulls up her hood, a bright red little spot among the increasingly grey surroundings, and runs to seek refuge wherever she can. She decides on a nearby awning, only noticing after the fact that she isn’t alone. She clicks her tongue, staring out at the rain and addressing her new companion:]
Tch. It’s really coming down, isn’t it?

Hm, I feel like if we added some more mystery, this could be a little bit better.
B. - Free Food
[Hu Tao stared at the food and then the beer nearby. As much as she wasn't one for drinking, a part of her was curious. She never really tried the drink before but she heard it was very popular in Mondstadt. She had given a sip of wine here and there but that was it. Narrowing her eyes, she was faced with a dilemma.
Was she willing to give it a try and risk getting herself drunk? Looking at the person next to her, she raised an eyebrow at them.]
Have you tried the beer here? Is it really that good as people say it is?
2. Rain
[On nights like these, Hu Tao can't help but be reminded of the beauty of walking out in the rain. Looking at the area around her, despite how busy it was, she couldn't help herself. Sure, it was pouring outside but that didn't stop her from hopping from one giant puddle to another. It'll be a mess on her shoes but she didn't care.
If she was stuck in hell, she might as well have some fun for just one moment, right?]
3. Wildcard
[Surprise me!]
1.A!
[The gentleman watching a seat over from Hu Tao agrees with his voice toned low so as not to disturb those around them too much from the movie.]
[(Dude is still talking over a movie, though. He doesn't seem to care.)]
For example, wouldn't it be more exciting if the detective himself could not be trusted...? Who knows whether or not he is really telling the truth about the clues?

Minato Suizenji/Minakami | Hashihime of the Old Book Town | Shuten Newbie
WELCOMING COMMITEE: SHUTEN NEW BLOOD
Minato is... well, not to put too fine a point on it, he's feeling awkward. It isn't that he shares his roommate's antipathy to the oni -- even if they're almost twice Mina's size and thrice as menacing up close, to a fellow Shuten, so far, they've been boisterous at best, brusque at worst (particularly to a softspoken new blood). It's that... He doesn't think he felt like a country bumpkin when he'd first left his village for the capital, but he's really feeling it in this casino, surrounded by too-bright lights and too-loud music and too many people.
That said, there's something endearing, seeing some of the tables hosting the same dice games that he remembers the Suizenji and Oizumi elders playing, or using the same hanafuda cards that the university students would smuggle onto the campus grounds. Even as displaced as he feels, the thought that some things don't change (whether over time or across worlds) kinda does put him at ease.
Even if he IS too much of a country bumpkin to actually gamble his bonus away, Minato will good-naturedly cheer on anyone who's trying their luck at the card tables, especially if it seems like they're as new as he is, or commiserate if they lose.
Later he drifts around to a wall of screens dedicated to off-track betting for horse races, though... he is pretty sure he knows what horses look like and some of those steeds do not look like horses. Off-track yokai betting, then?
Otherwise, there comes a point in the night where he does feel more overwhelmed, which is when he can be found nursing a drink at the bar, wondering how in the world he's ended up here.
-
IT'S RAINING IT'S POURING
Ah.
To strangers, Minato looks impassive, standing at the entranceway of the casino, where the booming music gives way to the white-noise of the rain. To more perceptive eyes, he's fighting a growing dismay that doesn't seem to match the prospect of just getting soggy on the way back. He's starting to look sick, actually.
Almost inaudible under the spatter of rain: "Just like home."
At some point, he does break out of his reverie, running full tilt through the rain to the bus stop and getting the yukata he wore to this event absolutely soaked. It's there that he can be found either huddled on a bench, head in hands and definitely, 100% sobered up at this point, or answering/coming to the end of an urgent, whispered phone conversation with someone else who's not having a great time right now.
It probably shouldn't be funny that one of those haniwa are sitting stoically on the bench nearby, like it's also waiting for a damn bus.
no subject
Once the phone call ends, it is only then that he speaks. His attention and gaze are set ahead, although his gaze flickers towards the direction from whence the bus should come. Nothing. ]
That device, while it may be durable it's probably best if it doesn't get wet. Although with this weather it's probably impossible.

Billy the Kid | FGO | Tamamo
[A get together with the rest of the crew is it? Billy’s not opposed to anything of that sort! He was personally not much of one to really care for the drinks, however. But that wouldn’t stop him from enjoying everything else! Karaoke though?
Hm… he faintly remembers this from Chaldea. It was basically a machine with scrolling lyrics for popular songs.]
So all we gotta do is select which one we want, right?
[There’s so many different choices! It was all a little overwhelming. Perhaps they could find something a bit more familiar?]
II – Tamamo Mingle After Dark (NSFW)
[The soundproof rooms are certainly useful. And maybe a little too well thought out, but he wasn’t certain why he should be all that surprised about it. Not with Tenkohime involved, or really anything dealing with Tamamo. For now his hat was tilted back and hands pressed on the hips of the person with him.
This was also something he was fine with. It was something he hadn’t been expecting or considering for the night, but he was fine with it.]
III – Rain Rain Go Away
[Well all things have to come to an end. But Billy himself didn’t quite want to head back to his tiny closet that he called an apartment. Instead, he stopped at a diner, taking shelter from the rain in the lowlight with the few others inside.
This was more his speed. A quiet night with a cup of coffee and rain pattering against the windows. There was still plenty of room at his own booth though, for those looking for a seat. Especially when a few of the tables around him has those weird, clay figures sitting in them.
Probably a big reason as to why the place was still not completely full.]
[WILDCARD]
[Don’t see something you like? No problem! Hit me up with whatever and I’ll follow along~!]
I.
I believe so.
[The wall of songs was a bit intimidating though. Unlike Miyako, the yokai living inside him, Soo Won didn't know much about music. He didn't have much time for leisure when he was ruling a country. Miyako's passion for music intrigued him though and during their time in Hakagemachi he slowly became rather fond of it. Unfortunately his limited knowledge didn't help with the mountain of unfamiliar songs and he deferred that choice to Billy instead.]
What kind of song would you like to sing?
[An impatient slide of notes lazily rolled through both Soo Won and Billy's minds, Miyako's musical equivalent of rolling her eyes. Just pick one already. It was bad enough that she couldn't join in the fun. Give her some music already!]

Bakugou Katsuki | My Hero Academia | Enma Newbie
[ Team building exercises... What the actual fuck. That is what they are going to do? Bakugou is really wondering if that's the best that they can do. Of course he's kind of an introvert anyway so socializing wouldn't really be up his alley, but team building isn't either.
Especially when he realizes that they are going to do community service. Together. And for what? A voucher for mini-golf? ]
Hard fucking pass.
[ He's not such a good person that he's going to do something like this if it isn't actually beneficial. So cute Bakugou sitting on some curb. Not doing jack shit.
Even if his fingers twitch because of the mess. ]
( Welcoming Committee B )
[ Whether he helps or not, Katsuki apparently isn't making a good impression on the homeless population either. One of them is actually collecting the cans and Katsuki is well. Kicking a can. Just for something to do.
Which means this individual is thinking that Bakugou is going to take it. This results in a bag of cans hitting Katsuki upside the head. ]
The hell- [ And he turns, hands sparking erratically. ] Do you think you're doing!?
( It's Raining )
[ Bakugou might have been wandering around when the rain had started. What territory is he in? Who the fuck knows. He sure doesn't. While the blonde isn't out to start a fight, he's not really all that sociable either. So when the rain starts to pour down to the point where vision hazes and he's soaked in a matter of seconds, all he can think to do is dive under and overhang. ]
Fuck!
[ Not that being soaked is an issue. It's the fact that he really hadn't wanted to stick around at all.
Now whether or not he's near one of those Haniwa figures is totally up to you!At the moment he's just cursing at the sky and his luck and just this place in general.A miserable wet
catteenager. ]( Wildcard )
[ This is your hit me up option. So either ping me through PMs or plurk or discord ( I'm flexible ) and we can plot something. Or just throw something at me and I'll roll with you. ;) ]
Welcoming B
[Norimune purposely speak up, hoping to draw the young man's attention. While he's not interested in cleaning up, checking on the homeless population is his main reason for being here. Which lead to him seeing one of the newer members' hands... sparking up?]
I see your hands, boy. What's all the sparkling for?
[Sparking, actually. But despite casual, friendly question, his eyes are watching Bakugo carefully.]

nishitani homare, horny nightmare / yakuza 0 / shuten rookie
Celestial Phoenix Casino. It has a ring to it, Nishitani admits, even with the doors half boarded up and the obvious signs of it having been freshly won land. The location is good, the ambience is light, and the bloodstains that haven't quite gotten out of the carpet just add to the mood. Nishitani's taken over more than a few casinos in his day, he knows how they run-- and he also knows how often they're rigged. To begin with, Nishitani keeps his distance, drinking at the bar, watching the tables to see any of the obvious signs of foul play.
None to be found, beyond the regular house rules. That pleases Nishitani greatly, and within moments he's cashing in his rent money for tokens and is off to the roulette table. He has his eye on one of the silver and gold designer watches up for grabs. Luckily, Nishitani is good at playing odds, and by the end of the night he's got it around his wrist, and barely lost any money that he wasn't willing to lose in the first place.
IT'S RAINING, IT'S POURING
Walking home was going to be a problem for Nishitani to begin with, because the money he gambled away was technically the money he was supposed to use to find an apartment. so far he's been costing by on beds he can fuck his way into, but with the rain fucking pouring, his usual hunting grounds are out of the question, at least for now. So he stands under an awning, cigarette in hand, watching the neon lights glance off the puddles, just waiting for the rain to let up enough for him to dash to the bar he's come to love.
There's one of those spooky fucking dolls next to him, but he doesn't really care. They make decent conversation partners and look appropriately impressed by his new watch.

Soo Won | Akatsuki no Yona (Slumscape CRAU) | Tamamo newbie
[A welcome party sounded like a great way to meet his fellow clanmates. The sheer number of drink vouchers he was given was a bit intimidating, but he didn’t complain. A few drinks with friends wouldn’t hurt. He will just give away the rest. His time in Hakegamachi helped Soo Won adjust to modern time but there was still a lot of new sights in Jigokucho. He had never been to a karaoke bar before. Miyako, the yokai inside him instantly perked up when she heard the music and the people closest to Soo Won could hear a faint excited flurry of notes from a gottan in their minds. Both her and Soo Won’s excitement dimmed when they noticed people singing.
Miyako musically deflated with a deep twang that grew steadily quieter and ended with a sharp note of disappointment. This wasn’t fair. She was mute and her illusions weren’t working here. Soo Won smiled sympathetically.]
Do you want to leave?
[Soo Won spoke quietly so as not to draw too much attention to him seemingly talking to himself. It was unfortunate but music was important to Miyako and it would be cruel to stay in a music-rich environment that she couldn’t enjoy.
Miyako answered with a stubborn string of notes that shifted up with a stubborn, brighter sound. Not a chance! She could still enjoy it vicariously through her foolish partner who she did not need pity from. She exerted a little more control to push him toward the stage. Soo Won’s body moved a step on its own before Miyako relinquished control. Soo Won stifled a surprised gasp and turned it into a slightly strained chuckle. He hated it when she did that.]
I’ll take that as a no.
[Oops. Miyako shrunk back a little at the subtle anger emanating from Soo Won. She half apologized with a gentler melody before possibly ruining it with an insistent nudge. She had already dug her hole so she might as well get something out of it. Soo Won inwardly rolled his eyes. Miyako’s passion for music was endearing so he let it slide for now.
His sunny disposition quickly returned as he took his turn singing. Soo Won let Miyako choose what song which she picked randomly. It was more fun that way and Soo Won agreed with an amused smile. Here goes nothing. Soo Won sounded a bit hesitant at first as he got used to the song and reading the lyrics but all the time he had spent with Miyako helped. Once he got the hang of it he was surprisingly good.
Miyako waited until Soo Won was finished before erupting in a surprised flurry of notes. What? Soo Won chuckled with a shrug.]
Ah, hidden talent I guess?
[Maybe Miyako’s musical talent was rubbing off on him.]
B. It's raining blood, again (cw: blood, hallucinations)
[All good things come to an end. Soo Won’s happiness washed away with the rain as a chill deeper than the cold seeped into the back of his mind. Even Miyako was deathly silent. Soo Won tried to ignore the nightmarish memories that threatened to appear in the watery reflections around him as he quickly tried to get out of the rain. He wasn’t sure where he ended up when he was forced to take shelter. He closed his eyes and ran his hand through his drenched hair with a sigh. It was fine. They weren't in Hakegamachi anymore.
He hadn’t noticed the Haniwa figure next to him until he smelled a familiar metallic smell amid the rain. Soo Won’s eyes shot up with a terrified gasp. Soo Won froze in horror at the familiar sight of blood raining from the sky. Soo Won flinched at the drops of blood that fell onto his skin and seeped into his skin. No. Soo Won staggered away from the haunting sight and into someone else who he quickly pushed away with a panicked scream.]
Stay away from me!
[Soo Won’s voice was raw with emotion and there was a desperate plea woven into his threat. He didn’t want to hurt anyone this time.]
C. Wildcard
[Feel free to make your own prompt if you want something different. You can plot with me at
B!
That desire quickly falls to the wayside when he hears someone let out a loud, strangled gasp. Expecting there to be something terrible hiding just around the corner, he hurries over, only to see a whole lot of nothing: just a young man, terror in his eyes, standing stock still before one of those horrible little dolls. But as soon as he gets close, the young man lashes out, clearly not in his right mind. ]
I am not touching you, [ he says, holding both hands up in surrender, voice slow and calm. ] It's fine. Nobody is going to hurt you. [ Futilely, he turns his collar up against the rain, looking around for the source of his panic. It couldn't possibly be the doll... could it? ]
Just take a deep breath.

Shoto Todoroki | My Hero Academia // OTA
Since they're orders, Shoto is at least going to go look around and see what exactly this place is about. For all he knows, they're asking them to do recon or putting more people there with intent that they make sure the place is safe. If it's got more of their clan in it, that means the likelihood of it being unruly is-- well it's high. He's going to come right out and say it, every local he's met from his clan has thus far been... high energy.
In the public area of the bar, Shoto won't be partaking in more than one drink, more than watered down with whatever juice sort is supposedly in there. Otherwise it's strictly water or said juice in his glass. After all if it really is something that's supposed to have the lines read between, then getting plastered isn't going to help him or anyone else.
The private room is used to get a little bit of time away from everything, the Karaoke machine isn't something he has interest in at all, but the low glow of red lights and the spinning ball that he can turn on to make it interesting at least to gather his thoughts is good. It's good. Quietish and just as he needs for the moment, or several moments, or the last half hour maybe? Uncertain. However, the lack of locking the door probably does nothing for anyone that wants to come in unannounced for any reason. They won't be shooed out or yelled at, it's his own fault.
Thankfully he didn't let himself get out of hand. He might've missed the rain and while others are taking shelter that he doesn't feel he wants to at the moment, Shoto isn't above small breaks in his aimless walk of the area. He's got no particular place in mind and nowhere he wants to go. The water on him is a newfound comfort and even with his quirk being weakened, he can at least dry himself off once he decides to take shelter in any one area for any one reason or another.
Stops at shops that are, perhaps, convenience stores open late (or really early), or other clubs when he feels like the respite is needed. He's not anywhere to cause trouble nor is he going to bother fighting, if he's asked to leave he does so without a stir. That doesn't mean he isn't seen breaking up drunken fights at some of the places, either, maybe pulling some of those participants out into the street with him for their own good and to sober up. Even small moments under an awning or two aren't without their merit to rest his feet on a bench.
((Shoto has CRAU for a few places, and longer hair than in the media he appears since he's two years older. I don't know how hallucinate-y I want things to get but if that suits your fancy, please feel free. If there's any issues I can just PM and we can work it out, or if you would like to ask preemptively (about any of these or something not mentioned here) please feel free to PM me, or PM me for my discord. I prefer prose but I'm not going to slam any keyboards over brackets or preference to use "Shouto" should you wish. My time is sporadic this week but I will at least try to get back once a day if the tags remain on the small side.))
2
Being here is jarring for him. Having dealt with such a severe whiplash back home after leaving his class only to return to the dorms for what felt like one night and wake up here is ... A thing. How can he relax at all until he figures some of this stuff out?
At least there's a slight comfort knowing that Kacchan, Shoto and Tokoyami are around. A sense of familiarity after his promises of not doing things alone anymore.
The rain is falling and Izuku looks out over the empty watery streets of a foreign city. He wanders a little before he realizes he sees one of those friends under an awning and he makes a beeline for him- clans be dammed.]
Todoroki-kun...? You shouldn't be out here too long, you could catch a cold.
[Listen to your own advice, Deku.]

Fumikage Tokoyami || My Hero Academia || Sutoku Newbie
[If someone were to tell Fumikage that his inaugural activity upon arriving in Hell would be a free show at a theatre and cafe, he would have surely thought you were joking with him. But here he is, ticket in hand as he looks up rather confusedly at the whole thing. ]
[Before the show, Fumikage will take some time to help himself to the free food that is being offered. He isn't a glutton and won't gorge himself, but he does take a rather sizeable and tasty-looking slice of apple pie. He can be found at one of the tables munching on his apple pie, but if one does come to talk to him he will strike up some polite conversation.]
I am not usually one to partake in these kinds of shows, but perhaps it will prove interesting.
A-2 - Welcoming Committee B
[Once the show is underway, Fumikage makes his way into the theatre to watch the production. Since it's dark enough, even Dark Shadow can enjoy it, peeking through the people in front of them both to watch the show. But as the show progresses, Fumikage lets out a hum, crossing his arms.]
This show is... not exactly to my liking.
[It's not that it's bad per se, it's just... not his thing. But it would probably be rude to leave in the middle of the show, especially since his ticket was free. But as the show progresses, it's clear from his fidgeting that he's getting a little bored with the show.]
B - It's Raining, It's Pouring
[Wow, the rain sure has opened up, hasn't it? Fumikage hadn't brought an umbrella, so he's currently ducked in underneath the awning outside of one of the brightly-lit bars. Yes, outside of it, because he's a minor and doesn't think he's allowed in. Maybe he could sneak in, but... well. Maybe he should get settled properly before engaging in illegal activity. He's willing to wait out the rain with others, but as the rain continues to fall, he pokes his head out a little and look up at the sky.]
If the rain continues, we may have to brave its deluge.

They may as well, the rain isn't letting up, as the storm rages it seems the wind is picking up. Lashes of rain driven by gusts make are driven into their shelter. Well, he doesn't mind being wet all that much but getting pelted by raindrops isn't exactly pleasant. Without a word he will step inside, he'll hope he is followed but some people are willing to brave storms. ]

Chris Yukine | Senki Zesshou Symphogear | Shuten Newbie
Needless to say, Chris was eying her new surroundings with suspicion.
Having an advance on her paycheck was nice, though they obviously intended for her to go and spend it all at the casino. Chris wasn't about to do that, however, because she knew where gamblers typically tended to end up. Wasn't the phrase "sooner or later, the house always wins?"
And so she ended up sitting alone at the casino bar. Not drinking alcohol, of course—she'd thankfully been able to order a ramune. Even in what was basically hell she wasn't going to "live it up" like that, so-to-speak. In the meantime, she was going to sit and watch, hoping to get an idea of what new comrades she had in the Shuten Clan.
Go and chat her up? Notice that the strange white-haired young woman is staring at you? Either way, it'd get her to actually converse with someone.
It's Raining, It's Pouring
Chris let out a shriek as she found herself in the middle of a downpour. She'd left the casino early, having not found much opportunity there, and had gotten lost in the city when the downpour started.
Where the hell was she?! Was she even still in Shuten territory?! Chris was so new, she had no way of knowing. And she was getting absolutely drenched. Wet and miserable, she took refuge under an awning, leaving her to shiver from the cold. You might find her here, or you might encounter her as she enters a building in desperation to try and escape the rain.
"S-sorry! It's absolutely pouring out there! I had to come inside!"
