Red is classically strong. If I can be honest, I like the white part of my hair better.

[Okay so far so good. No one's freaked out and Shoto hasn't had to literally call someone to ask what he's supposed to say. Maybe if he takes a few of his lessons from Tamamo's charm classes and applies them here?]

I think it looks fine as it is, but if you could change your hair colour, what would you change it to?

I thought so from the first, but I wasn't sure if it was appropriate since the app had forced your hand and because we've never spoken. Now that we're speaking, I'm sure it's alright.

It would look nice, I think. You're right about your natural colour suiting you. I dyed my hair once for a mission myself and my partner went on and I had to use black or it wouldn't even out my hair.

Black? It wasn't so bad black. My eyebrows may be a problem, they would still grow in their natural colour and I never asked my roommate what he used to fix that safely.

Oh. Thank you. I used to not like it, but I've grown to be alright with it myself. I heard it's a good conversation starter. I don't know how hair is going to start a conversation, and I tried to explain that to them but I don't think they understood.

No, not most people. They sometimes make it a little awkward. I'm used to people looking because of who I am back home, but not because of my features. Some of which I've only recently come to terms with. You haven't done that.

I hope to be one day. I'm more well known as my father's son until recently. My father is the number one rated hero in our country and number two consecutively before that for most of my life. None of that matters here, nor would I like to lean on it back home either. More that I'm explaining the reasons why.

Good. You shouldn't. Resting on the accomplishments of one's parents is a sign of weakness and makes you unworthy.

I won't. I want to better myself and let people feel safe when they know I'm there. Not because of my father, because of my achievements and proving to them they can be. I promise that.

[Oh. Ohkay yes. He should know by now that using hero is going to get this kind of reaction but usually it's Midoriya.]

I know him very well. Tokoyami is one of the people in my class and an extremely accomplished hero as well in my opinion.

He explained something of professional heroes to me when we spoke last. Does this mean you have a 'Quirk' as well?

['Met' was a pretty generous description of Dark Shadow harassing her at the summer festival until Fumikage told it to stop, but she opted to err on the side of politeness and not phrase it quite like that.]

I have. It's fascinating what they're capable of.

[Not entirely a lie- the abilities Fumikage described were intriguing, to put it lightly.]

What about you, what can your Quirk do?

It is fascinating, and incredible. Dark Shadow is a valuable addition to any team up. Tokoyami has learned to work with hsi quirk in ways I'm not sure I could've.

[As for his own... Shoto doesn't mind sharing.]

I use my body temperature to create ice or fire depending on the side of my body.

[Hence the red and white. He thinks she's smart enough to catch that.]

It makes sense, of course, that somebody who could create fire might be burned. Firebenders could instinctively control their flame to avoid that, but maybe a Quirk required more active conditioning. Or maybe somebody else had done it-

Both fire and ice? Impressive- and quite versatile, if used creatively.

Both yes. For mobility, attack and defense as well as tactile. I don't have my full ability yet, but I will keep working toward it. I'm going to find somewhere that will be safe to practice. If you'd ever like to see I'll tell you where I find.
