[ Well, it would appear, following his post, that the Enma is rather hands-off in his management approach; so if the members of his department wish to coordinate their efforts to maintain order during the much-publicized and now-imminent Night Parade event, it seems they'll just have to meet up and discuss plans on their own time. That suits Stronghart just fine.
It's a last minute effort, but throughout the day on Thursday, any member of his faction whom he encounters will be instructed to gather at the meeting room where they all met on their first day here at 7 o'clock in the evening in order to discuss their plans and assign roles as needed.
He does not actually arrive there himself until 7:08. It's fine. ]

If this machine is meant to cause harm, then whoever came up with it chose the perfect location. We can expect this area to be the most crowded.

And it is for this reason that should they succeed, they must pay for it. Whatever the grievance, it is not worth the grief and suffering that will follow after. If the Enma is for justice, then we will be his sword.
[ he can't stand the idea of it - crime is inherently selfish, and lends itself to a cruel indifference that innocent people will bear the brunt of in the end. dimitri feels angry about it. ]
Following the night parade, should there be time to investigate, we should all take the first opportunity to do so.

an apt way to put it. this isn't the first time he's heard someone say something similar, but just hearing this alone is enough to ease a tiny bit of his worries. at least the enma department isn't lacking in those who want to do the right thing. ]
Mm. I know how to navigate the sewers so I can lead those who are interested in investigating the machine. I only have pictures with me, but they don't really compare to seeing it up close and personal.

[ there will likely be people who would want to have custody of parts that are left behind by the machine, after its use, and he expects a fight for that if such a thing were to happen. ]

All this is to say that I have some background where missions are concerned. Of course, I still have much to learn.
[ although dimitri acts like he's an old man, he really is quite young. the reason why he takes this seriously is because in his previous life, before this city, he was the crown prince, though such things matter very little now. still, he feels responsible to the people, and will always gravitate towards order and the greater good. ]

I too hope that we don't have to consider such things. It is one thing to learn theory, another to put it in practice, and I have never been fond of putting things into practice, especially if my heart is not in it. Or if I find something morally wrong.
But there are things that are wrong, and then there are things that must be done for the people. Sometimes it is difficult to make a decision that satisfies everyone across the board and make it morally and ethically viable at the same time. It is what it is. [ rather thoughtfully, dimitri adds, ] All we can really do is to always try to be good ...
[ then he looks at six, and smiles ruefully. ] You should tell me to stop if I ramble for far too long. I won't hold it against you.

You can't please everyone. I get it. Sometimes you have to go with what your gut feeling says is for the best. [ at least, that's what he thinks this is about. ] And why— do you get told you ramble often?

I don't mind it, so you can talk as much as you'd like.

[ or at least felix tells him he talks too much and has no problems telling him to fuck off ... though felix is not the best metric for it, he does tend to pay attention to him, for better or worse. ]

I had a colleague in my school who was fond of such things. He kept track of jokes he liked in a notebook.
Now ... they weren't very good jokes, but he made the effort to lift everyone's spirits often, and I always thought that was rather admirable of him. I think we can study jokes and humour together and work towards such a goal.
