Who ⬤ manjiro sano, aka mikey, and you? ah, and a closed for toman!
What ⬤ substories and a lil' sleeping beauty prompt, as well as dealing with the elephant in the room (kazutora) for the tokyo manji. i will most likely update this log as time goes!
When ⬤ september!
Where ⬤ all them places and an abandoned shop
Content Warnings ⬤ well. extreme violence, language, dissociation, mental health issues, psychosis, delusion, and the sad reminder that mikey, kazutora, and baji are 15 years old while this is all happening.

here, however, it's a different story. the manji shrunk, founding members and takemichi now became his world once again, and the last meeting he held was a relief. they're still his, after all. it's common toman knowledge that having mikey made them untouchable, and invincible, as the name mikey has earned in the streets. "tokyo manji belongs to me, and anyone who's behind me will never lose", it's what he's promised again and again. he has to take care of them, lead them, provide for them.
here, however, the financial responsibility hits him harder. some of them are older than he remembers, but none of that matters. his position remains, and thus, it's only fair that he busts his ass to be able to get them a level of comfort and stability.
... but did it have to be so boring? he's here, bodyguarding the shop, toman jacket draped over his shoulders as it has always been, even if he is adhering to that stupid dress code that shuten enforces. that already is a warning, but fuck, it's tedious work. his hand drags across his face as he looks around for any shady individuals who might be lurking, waiting for him to move his post, and his lifeless eyes roll as he sits on the floor, a lollipop swirling in his mouth as he sighs.
please, something, dear lord.)

What are you doing here?

(unsurprisingly so. he didn't even have to think too much about that one, kim smells like a narc from a continent away. the posture, the words, the way she carries herself.)
Technically working. If you're here to deal with the thieves, you should tell me what should I wear to your funeral while you can.
(or not, but you know. he's still kinda mad at her.)

I'm just here to pick up something for my husband. If the thieves show up, you can kick them in the head or something.

Well, at least if he didn't look like a dork with his jacket and t-shirt and baggy shorts. No, he just looks like a young guy checking out the cafe. Nothing all that unusual about him, aside from the little Sutoku pin he's attached to the front of his jacket.
They gave him a pin, he's going to wear it. It takes him a moment to place Mikey's face. ]
Oh! Mikey-kun!
[ As if he's realizing who it is. ]
I didn't know you'd be out here.

he easily remembers the context, but asking more of him would be too much. so, he's just slow blinking at the kid, taking the lollipop from his mouth to gesticulate.)
... No idea. Who are you?

That's the sound Kou makes. He just kind of stares for a long moment. ]
You really don't remember me? We had that whole conversation on Ember.

Kotetsu is himself flopped out on a bench in this shop, but he figures as The Adult in the room, he might as well do...! Something...!]
Hey, kid, what's your name? We should play a game, or something. Make the time go by faster.
[This is responsible not-parenting. Obviously.]

(it's been a hot minute since he heard anyone under the age of forty calling him manjiro. either way, he could deny, for the sake of keeping attention to the mission at hand, but... anything's better than this.)
Two truths and a lie. Loser does 25 push-ups and asks an additional question.
no subject
Nice to meetcha, Mikey. I'm Kotetsu! Kotetsu Kaburagi.
[It is, frankly, very weird to introduce himself as such in this kind of situation, because it hasn't been that long since his civilian ID was outed, and he's still used to the notion of "Kotetsu" being some average unremarkable clerk, a cog in the larger machine of Sternbild. Wild Tiger is the one that usually does things like bodyguard work. Not that any of that matters here in Jigoku-chu, he supposes.]
Two truths and a lie, huh? Sounds like fun. You wanna go first?

difter grifter
although his intuition does tell him something's off. it's his cue to enter, decided steps towards the lost soul who just lost their money to the ghost, and he sits at their table, eyes never leaving the restroom.)
When he's back, I'm making him unconscious. Don't make a scene, ok?
(haha, the man's never coming back.)

I think I might've gotten scammed...
[A little fly warbles its way out of his wallet before he folds it again and sighs twice more. It seems that the figure in black that has been stumbling through the city with supposed information on Iron Bear has gotten to Izuku too. He's one of the lost souls who willingly gave all his money to the man in hopes to help him out and get any information he could. How could Izuku be so gullible? He can't even buy a hamburger now!
But the person who joins about his plight makes a very alarming note.]
Wait-?! What do you mean, you're going to attack him?
no subject
(poor kind soul. if there's one thing mikey is not at risk is this. even without responsibilities, he was never going to go out of his limb for a rando, much less when money was so tight. so, yeah, no reaction, you brought this on yourself, freckle boy.
but at the shocked tone brings mikey's hand to hover above the table and descend, as if he was asking for the volume to be down.)
Enma wants him, I'm bringing him. Some of us ain't gonna let our money run out.
(he says, while absolutely broke.)
no subject
The other makes a motion for him to settle down and Izuku frowns with some more embarrassment.]
So long as you're not going to attack him... I'll help you track him down and stop him then we can hand him over to the Enma. [And under his breath,] And I can get my money back...

dogged the bounty hunters
so, he's just waiting behind a tree to where his info points the bounty hunters to meet. some sort of trade-off, bribes amongst themselves.
ruin his cover, or go with him. up to you.)
he's baby
right now, however, we're at the beginning of the cycle. an omelet, rice, meat, and mikey's sleeptalking on the bench he sleeps at, cute but loud snores echoing and pulling attention to him... and he doesn't even notice.)
Shut up, I totally can drink more than you. ZzZZZZ
(closed) toman/kazutora
the meeting is longer than most, and the subject is much more complex than whether they should or should not kick the shit out of someone, but instead of their current living possibilities. like mikey had said before, this is a new land, new rules, and there are people who possess power far from their capabilities - for now, anyway. they must be able to reach each other and specially deus ex-machina (mikey) at a moment's notice.
and then, there's the subject of kazutora to solve. not that he has time to even open that can of worms before he hears the bat dragging on the ground, his eyes glassy as he looks at the intruder.)
I already told you we are not fighting.
no subject
Here. I. Am!
[Kazutora was wearing the same thing Mikey had seen him in when they'd briefly encountered each other in the sports shop - tattered Valhalla jacket, black shirt and pants, scuffed white sneakers. And he was wearing the same unhinged expression, eyes overwide, grin tugged too far at either end of his mouth.
But despite the caustic entrance and the ominous bat in his hand, Kazutora would be lacking that same kill aura he had had earlier. It wasn't gone, but it wasn't as bloodthirsty. And the reason for that stood slightly behind Kazu -- Baji, walking to the meeting with Kazutora, delivered as promised.]
closed to majima - two gangsta walk into a square (cw underage smoking)
mikey doesn't smoke, not really, not often. it's just a reflex of shinichiro, and right now, mikey doesn't have anything to hold on to so he feels closer to his late brother. his room, where shinichiro once inhabited, home. his broken airplane model, which the man put together for him, home. his motorcycle, the thing he holds the closest to his heart, home.
let him just have this. like he's pulling some strength from the black dragon's leader, the scent bringing him home and anchoring him to that state of mind, like he can give him wisdom in this place. he'll be done and he'll trash the butt before majima comes, a dorayaki now being munched on to mask the smell.)

He stops in front of Mikey with a hand loose in his pocket. He normally doesn't really bother with the biker kids, but here they are... ]

he has never seen a snake man before arriving here, but considering where he is, it stopped being alarming sooner than he expected it. it's not his place to bitch, and he has something to accomplish.
a bow should do it. he hates that he's below anyone, but since he is, there we have it.)
Manjiro Sano, but Mikey's the preference. Good to meet you.

[ He agrees, he's not overly formal. ]
Welcome t'town. You an' yer boys.
[ Now that he can see the jacket more clearly, he has the idea. He exhales smoke and then wanders over to sit down on the edge of a big concrete planter. ]
What's th'plan?
[ He doesn't see much point in making polite chit chat around the question. ]
