(He'd told Yuuji to watch his back and implied he'd be paying a visit when the teen least expected it. Like a true assassin, he'd make sure to arrive when he least expected it...

But when he decides to scout his apartment, Hizen knocks on the balcony window instead of the door like a normal person,)

Oi. (And he isn't very polite about it either,) I - ta - do - ri.

(Let him in.)

[ Megumi could already sense an unfamiliar presence, locking on to Hizen's spiritual energy. It doesn't feel like a malicious one, but the fact that there is a presence randomly at the balcony is suspicious enough. He's not really sure how best to respond to the situation.

But he does have a feather duster and he WILL use it to smack any potential thieves. They do not have a lot of money and he does not want to part with any of it.

The mention of Yuuji's name, at least, does clue him in on the situation. ]

May I help you? [ Hizen will run into a tall boy who is armed with a cleaning tool. ]

(And Hizen will just look at him. He's very unimpressed with what he sees but--)

Tch. (He sucks on his teeth,) He has friends...

(Of course he does. Annoying. This is why you always case out a place before doing any hits. Never know if someone might actually have a family, friends, or annoying little dog to complicate things,)

Where's Itadori?

[ Should he let this person in? They look highly suspicious, but he also can't sense any malicious intent. They might just be a very strange person .... There's no shortage of those here. ]

He's at work right now. He'll probably be back in half an hour. Are you ... here to visit him?

(Ah, so he isn't here. He figured considering how he can't seem to sense any obnoxious energy around.

He's quiet for a moment. He's thinking about something and then decides to just let himself in,)

(He isn't here to see Yuuji. Not anymore. The plan has changed.)

[ He is extremely confused about this situation right now. While he should be chasing this person out, Megumi somehow gets the feeling they are friends with Yuuji. Yuuji sometimes goes away and comes back with bizarre friends so it checks out. ]

Okay? Did you want something else then? [ WHY IS HE COMING IN .... Yet, Megumi steps aside, letting him in for now. ]

He didn't say he had friends stayin' with him.

(Not answering the question. Let's see... where can he sit and make himself at home. He at least took his shoes off like a good guest before actually coming in? He's also checking the place out. How do teens live these days...)

(Stops to look Megumi up and down. He's definitely sizing him up. Getting a read on him.)

[ Why is this person just treating this place like their home, and assessing Megumi in the process? He really has no idea what's going on right now. However, from the way the conversation has gone so far, he's fairly convinced that this person is Yuuji's friend, so he's going to treat a guess accordingly. Megumi heads over to the kitchenette, boiling water for tea. ]

Cain-san lives here too. He hasn't returned either. [ People in Enma work long hours! ]

You must be one of ... Yuuji's friends? [ He's still getting used to being on first name basis with Yuuji, which explains the pause. ]

The blind guy? Huh.

(Hello, familiar name. Noted. Hm. )

I guess? (He shrugs,) Don't really do friends but he's a pain in the ass.

(And would insist they're friends or something which... Hizen does not like to think about? He's too tsundere for this.)

[ It sounds like ... they are friends. Honestly, he has no idea. He's just going to make the tea and choose not to think too hard about what's going on here. He still doesn't even know why Hizen is here when he apparently does not want to see Yuuji. ]

Yeah? Did he do something in particular? [ Not gonna defend Yuuji in this, sorry. He is a huge pain in the ass. ]

He was talking shit.

(Which explains nothing but Hizen is not going to say he's here because Yuuji said he isn't cute anymore which is such a layered thing to say to Hizen. Like, he thought he was cute? Die. Now he's not? Fucking perish, Yuuji Itadori. There was no way to win and Hizen is here to get revenge.)

So I'm gonna make him pay.

[ Usually, when someone is swearing revenge against his friend, it would be a greater cause for concern. Somehow, he feels absolutely no threat from the smaller man. The electric kettle lights up and Megumi starts pouring the boiling water into the cups. ]

Wouldn't you need to meet him to have your revenge?

(He's confident. Hey, he just met you and this is crazy but trust him on this.)

[This seems fairly normal. Or at least not something that Cain is overly concerned about. At least whoever was knocking on the window wasn't busting it down so they probably weren't a thief.]

Hey-is someone there?

[He's opening up the window.]

I think I recognize that voice.

(Oh, he hears shuffling and moving inside so this means someone is, in fact home. He isn't a patient spirit though so he says again,)

I'm going to break the door.

(He isn't but since he doesn't know how to joke, it sure does sound serious.)

[Hey, the window was open!!!]

Wait, I think you're that kid that helped me with the sword-are you going to come in or not? You were knocking on the window so I figured you didn't want the door for some reason.

I ain't a kid.

(He says like a brat but okay fine. Hes' going to crawl in through this window like a gremlin,)

You're the blind guy. What're you doing here?

[Well, he figured that Hizen was coming in that way! Why else would he knock on the window instead of the door?]

I told you before. I'm not actually blind.

[And thus he held out his hand for Hizen to shake, touch, hi-five, whatever.]

And I live here now. I actually just got back from patrol and was taking care of my sword.

[harimaya]

(Swats at that hand because he didn't come here to make friends. He came here to be a menace.)

Hm.

(Whatever you say not-actually-blind-guy. He doesn't care about the details. Those aren't important. He does, however, look over to see what Cain means. Taking care of his sword? He expects to see a sword and some supplies, then. He's curious but he came here for business and he asks first--)

Is Itadori here?

[Joke's on him! The swat still hit his hand so Cain could see him again, and he already considered Hizen a friend! But it was obvious from looking at the bed Cain had been sitting on that he really was in the middle of taking care of his sword. It was laying out on a soft cloth, surrounded by a couple of stones and various sandpaper he used, and a bottle of oil.

He did go back over to it, not wanting to let it lay out in the open for too long when Hizen asked his question.]

Hm? You mean Yuuji? He's not here right now. I'm guessing he's out on an errand or something. Were you looking to ask him something?

[harimaya]

(Terrible, unforgivable, how dare you trick him into letting Cain see. Interesting, though. Even if it's a different style of sword, it looks like the process is still the same.)

(Something to remember for another time, perhaps. Maybe sooner than later.)

(He was not going to ask Yuuji anything.

Don't mind him settling down and making himself at home, though. He's just going to pull himself a seat like a real punk,)

[Well then, Cain was just going to continue with caring for his sword. Right in front of Hizen. Look at him so blatently being nice to it.

But no, now he was curious of Hizen's actual purpose. This felt a lot like Faust, actually.]

Well you do seem to know him from somewhere. I guess you can wait here until he comes back, but I dunno how long that will be.

[He's continuing to meticulously scour out any scratches that had appeared on his blade during its use. It was a bit sad that this one was made with cheaper materials and therefore got damaged faster, but he still was going to take good care of the thing.]

I have to finish cleaning my sword here, but if you're willing to wait, I'm sure I can find you something to eat or drink.

(He's looking. He's taking notes....)

(In fact, that's part of his new plan. Don't worry, Cain. Hizen has his revenge all figured out.

Anyway, focusing on what's going on now,)

That's the sword you got?

(Only because he's a sword himself... he can tell it's quality.)

[Sure, Hizen, sure. Keep plotting and scheming your evil plans over there. Anyway, it seemed that Hizen was content with waiting where he was-and until Cain was done for anything else-so he just continued as he talked.]

Yeah. I didn't have enough money for a better one. But, even if it's not as good quality, that's no reason to neglect my sword. It's my partner after all.

(Wait. He isn't used to people talking about their swords like this. Yeah, a lot of people switch up how they talk once they know tsukumogami can be a thing but otherwise, everyone treats their weapons like... well, tools. Things.)
