Jigoku's Got Talent, Part 2 - [OTA]
She was honestly just there to help with the sound equipment for performances. But somehow, after one of the event producers had heard her voice she'd quickly been pushed into actually performing. This felt all wrong to Croix, who was no idol. Yes, she'd assisted Chariot back in the day, but she had done so behind the scenes.
And yet they insisted, and Croix was seconds away from going on stage. She looked at the lyrics that had been provided for her...and honestly, they felt more suited to her best friend and her ideals than they did her.
But...if she had to...
Taking a deep breath, she stepped out once it was her turn and took the mic. For whatever else, she sang her heart out. The end result was a bit rough, but at the very least, there was some spark of talent there.
Or maybe it was because these words made her feel connected to someone, somehow. ]
Running with Wolves - [ota]
Otherwise, she was a big old nerd whose diet consisted mostly of ramen. She was not prepared for the White Wolves' demands of the Alliance members. She wasn't even planning to do anything in the Wasteland, why was she being forced to undertake this ridiculousness?!
But her insistence fell on deaf ears, and so, she'd been forced into physical trial after physical trial. Push-ups. Sit-ups. Pull-ups.
Up yours. In the end, she'd come to the marathon run, upon which she collapsed face-first onto the ground well ahead of the finish line.]Please...leave me here to die...
Re: Running with Wolves - [ota]
[This was actually kind of fun for her! And a great way to get her body moving again. Besides, there were far more strenuous exercises they can be doing right now. But, well, she also supposed not everyone was used to working their body like this. That was fine and understandable!]
There's not much more to do.
[She said with an encouraging smile followed by a swig of her water. Before fixing a few stray hairs that had come loose from the bun she had it set in.]
Re: Running with Wolves - [ota]
But she also knew the White Wolves wouldn't let her.
With a heavy sigh, Croix got to her feet somehow, letting out a whine. ]
Easy..for you to say...

[She said it in, what was hopefully, an encouraging tone. Her hair might be a silvery grey color, but at least Enty isn't a member of the White Wolves. So, Croix had that going.]
It's usually the first push that's the hardest. But it becomes much easier when you start building off of it.
[Enty does decide to check her own speed and stay next to Croix in case she collapses again or actually ends up needing help.]

that said, he'll kneel down next to croix as she "rests" on the ground after he body has decided that it was time for a break. albeit a bit of a dramatically decided. his tone friendly as he tries to be supportive. ]
I think there might be some distress among the others if that were to happen.

They'll get over it. Tragedy builds character. Or at least that's what my mother always said.

[ there, there. he's here to keep her company while she recovers. or not recover. up to her. ]
But I've never quite heard things phrased that way; I'm much more familiar with the saying of "whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger". Both seem to be harsh, though, don't you think?
We Know Who You Are [part one] - OTA
Croix immediately came running, of course. By the time she arrived, however, the tunnel had filled with debris and running water from the broken pipes. Gritting her teeth, she looked up and saw part of the surface had crumbled away, exposing the tunnel to the open air. If she wanted to get out, she would have to... ]
Hey! I'm down here! Can anyone hear me?!
Let me know if anything needs to be adjusted
Then she sees the cracked, crumbling chunk of pavement, and she figures she ought to at least check. It's just as well that she did, because that is clearly a person down there, in the tunnels below the street- far more extensive than she'd realized, she'll have to keep that in mind. Wait, wasn't that-
Whatever, it isn't important. She has a job to do.]
Are you injured?
no subject
I'm fine, but there's a lot of smoke and water down here! The way up out of the tunnels is blocked as well!
no subject
She backs out of view of the hole, looking around for some other means of access, or even a line she could throw, but she can still be heard calling down to Croix]
How blocked is 'blocked?' Could it be cleared?

We Know Who You Are [part two] - OTA
While searching, she remembered seeing an abandoned building on the map. There was nothing there now, but it was located in such a place that it could be bad if destruction spread. If she was a bomber, that might be the perfect location: abandoned, but still dangerous. And so she sent out a message:]
I think I have a lead on another bomb. Heading to [attached location] now.
[ Thankfully, she arrived on time, and with her technical expertise, disarmed the bomb. But it turned out that the bombs were set to trigger a fire from some gas cans if tampered with, and Croix quickly found herself in a building that was burning.
Choking on smoke, Croix ran for the exit, only for flames to block her way. Seeing no recourse, she ran for the windows. Throwing her body at them, she broke through the glass, injuring her ribs as she hit the ground outside. Furthermore, the glass had cut her forehead, leaving a nasty gnash.
She laid there, in pain, as the fire began to spread outside. She screamed for help for the second time that day, as her own blood dripped down and covered her eyes, stinging them along with the smoke. ]
take two!
As he lowered his arm and saw the flames raging, he decided this was a lost cause. There was no need to stay any longer.
But as he turned and took a step or two to leave, that was when the sudden crash of glass caused him to snap his attention towards the building again, his attention now stuck on the fact a familiar figure was coming through it. He might not have his super speed, but his A.I. chip is still built to make split second decisions during life or death scenarions; he pushes himself forward with one foot and holds out his arms, managing to catch Croix as she falls through the window...but he falls as well, so he tries to shield her body as he hits the ground and rolls the moment he hits the floor. Granted, it won't be the most comfortable save of her life given he's effectively a cushion of steel and edges, but it's better than hitting the floor with nothing between her and it at least.]

Hnn...we've got...got to get out of here...

[He at least tries to move her carefully, but he is nowhere near as delicate as he needs to be with someone in Croix's condition. Knowing that, he figures it's for the best he simply moves as quickly as possible and doesn't linger.
Once she's off of him, he stands up and picks her off the ground to carry her.]
Hold on if you can.

Zodiark curse this place, my power...
[ A frustrated sigh. The warmth vanishes. He's still there though, and this time he tries to carefully lift her in his arms. ]
Home Care - [locked to Chariot]
The most she could do was lie on her futon, and stare forlornly at the salvaged tech she couldn't even stay busy with. Frustrated, she let out a huge sigh. ]
I hate this.

A bottle of water, a thermos of soup (both of which were easier to have in Croix's state), and what appeared to be a small puzzle game. Something that must have caught her eye last time she went to the Don Quixote. ]
This should at least keep your mind occupied for a bit. I'll get Dr. Dyer to give you a more accurate time frame of recovery, but for now, Mona is fine with me just taking consultation calls from the apartment so... at least you've got me to talk to, right?
[ They'd tried watching TV, but most every channel her poor rabbit ears could get was covering the explosion and aftermath, still... ]

Croix smiled up at Chariot, nodding. She looked over at the items on the tray, and instantly went for the puzzle game. Ah, this would be a good diversion from the pain. ]
Thank you. I'm glad I could have such an attentive caretaker, heh.

She'd be relatively easy for someone with that skill-set to sneak up on and approach, though she's doing her best to keep attentive towards normal pedestrians and would-be pursuers. ]

So he'll follow from the shadows for a minute or two, waiting for something. He doesn't know what. But eventually impatience and wanting to make a scene wins out and he steps out casually behind her.]
So you're out late. Got a hall pass? [Chuckles, god he's hilarious.]
