I. Restaurant hunting | Edges of Tamamo territory

[Or maybe more accurately, he's looking at several of the buildings in the area. He's not quite ready to buy or rent property and start a shop, but it's good to know what's around the Tamamo area. He's avoiding places that are extremely expensive and spending more time around the corners of the district, bordering between the other faction areas.

He has a notebook out and writing up notes about the areas, even if it's not about specific buildings.]

II. Mr. Libido | Tamamo

[Sometimes you end up with leadership positions you weren't really looking for! Here he is with his one star and one star responsibilities and he's staring down this man dancing in front of a restaurant.]

If you ain't gonna leave, I'll make you.

[Which is a weird threat from somebody who's wielding a butter knife, a fork and a spoon. The threat remains.]

[Has Nero said he was going to cook for you?

If he said he was going to cook for you, he's shown up at your door with a grocery bag of ingredients and the intent to cook. You wouldn't turn him away would you? ]

B | Tamamo Apartments
[If he hasn't specifically told you he was going to cook for you, he's still living in the starter Tamamo apartments for now. Figuring he has to do something for his fellow Tamamos, he's left his door open and is inviting people in to grab a meal in the morning. There's a full spread of warm scrambled eggs, freshly baked bread, sausage and bacon and several pitchers of juices. There are also some bowls of fresh fruit, if you'd rather have that.

No milk, no matter where you look.]

You should eat somethin' in the morning.

Thank you for your understanding, senpai~ And-- listen, if you really do want any help with responsibilities or paperwork, any of that boring shit...You can call on me, okay? It's my forte, navigating that sort of thing, and as fun as work is...

I don't know. I miss grinding my teeth into dust over endless forms, or people demanding this or that. The power bit'll come in time, but taking away all the busywork just like that's been a culture shock for me!

[Some people are really into this whole responsibility thing. Damn, he kind of wishes he could've shoved his climbing off onto Aster, he seems to actually enjoy it. Feels a little wasted on somebody like Nero, who prefers to blend far into the background and be considered as nothing more as "Just some guy".]

[So far it's been more of the business operations of the palace and the kitchens, and those are things he knows. Nero chuckles to himself and slips straight into the store. It's not too crowded, but that's because the shop is efficient and delicious.]

[It's a blessing that the shop, for all the popularity it clearly has, is also alarmingly efficient with customer service; Nero thus gets spared from Aster holding on even tighter to him, so duly distracted by the fast-moving queue and display cases is he.

Not that there's any doubt about what he's buying today, but. For future reference.]

Until you need to call on me...I can just be your-- [A beat.] ...If I just buy pastries for you, instead of spoiling you, would that make me a pastry papa instead of a sugar daddy?

Anyway, that! For chocolate croissants ♡ --Three of them!

[The pastry cases are full at this point of the day, with a new tray of fresh baked goods getting put out as they seemed to be going low. Fruit tarts, chocolate croissants, macaroons, delicate sugar spun into intricate designs. It's a feast for the eyes and the stomach.

There's a slight quirk of his smile.] There's a name for that? [Weird. Aster also doesn't look older than him, but who knows, right?

Service with a smile, friendly and professional. They hope he'll come again soon!]

[A Pastry Papa can be centuries younger than his beignet baby, okay!!! it's totally fine!!!!!

Oh god though the fresh stuff...Aster's stomach audibly rumbles as his attention's firmly yanked away from Nero; there's no shame, though. This is all about eating today, after all, so he shells out duly and even gives the polite counter staff a little curtsey as he scoops his haul up. The line must keep moving, of course, so back out they shuffle.

...He will not poke his head into the bag like a fucking barbarian in front of Nero he will not he will not]

I'm nothing if not an innovator-- or an opportunist, anyway ♡ Which you could probably already guess to a degree, but I'm not hiding who I am, either! Huhu~

Aaaanyway, these are still warm...I should get you sequestered away so we can feast already. Or I'll die! And you'll have to carry my beautiful corpse around, weeping for the loss.

[Totally fine if that's what you're into! Nero would probably end up laughing if anybody called him a baby, but also wouldn't explain why. What a silly thing to keep secret.

He doesn't have to be a gremlin, but Nero's eying the bag like he's considering eating on their way over. They're so fresh... this is the best they're going to be... Why should they wait until they're not perfect anymore.]

I'm sure we'd throw a lovely funeral, but let's not get to that point. Lead the way.

[That's called motivation, buddy. Walk faster so the croissants are still kinda warm and gooey when they get in the room...

Aster might be the baby in numbers alone, here, but it's a game he's refined, the carrot and stick. So he just smiles wider when he notices how Nero's eying the bag, hooks their arms back together (when had they disentangled? how very rude of him), and tugs gently.

The pace he sets, however, is a brisk little trot. Imperfection will not be tolerated.]

Just make sure that you tell everyone I had perfect legs in life, and I'd be happy~ Hey, senpai...Have you ever been to a place like this before? A...Hm...

[Faux thought. His feet don't falter.] ...Love Hotel! The beds are super cushy, and the lighting's really nice and soft...It reminds me of my Master's chambers, the rooms at the one we're going to! Just like home ☆

[He has definitely slept with somebody, but that was a stardust induced haze. At least he didn't regret that one in the morning.

That's fair, that's fair~ I've only been to one once so far, but it's way nicer than you'd think a place like this would be! They really take pride in their rooms...

I do have to keep up a reputation at home ☆ Here, however, my reputation's already far different, so I can work with different things. Don't you think? And it helps if you don't want to bring someone back to your place, because it's embarrassingly empty and all...

[Thankfully, the love hotel they're headed for (now dead ahead) is a plain-looking thing, sturdy and unassuming. For all that it matters with discretion around here, at least they've tried?]

In this district? I haven't seen a single place that's rundown. [In Tamamo where appearances are everything? If it's not up to the boss's standards, it probably doesn't exist. Or maybe it gets mysteriously closed.

Only the finest, and prices that match that quality.]

Yeah. If you think of it one way, it's a chance to make your reputation into whatever you want. Not like anybody's comin' in with biases. [That's probably not exactly true. There will always be people who hold tightly onto their preconceived notions of what's right and how the world should be. But at least he doesn't have to deal with any other people's personal baggage that might follow him from home.]

I dunno, my apartment's pretty empty too. I don't really mind it as long as the kitchen works.

[This is a wizard who voluntarily turned his bedroom into a second kitchen, nobody take any advice on decoration from him.]

[...Huh. That's-- a very good point. Maybe he should beg for a little business advice from Tenkohime one day, just to see how she has a whole district so tightly run without everyone trying to undercut her or take her head.

Another day. The thought of becoming something more than Just The Grand Sorcerer's Familiar (Who Happens To Be Insanely Powerful And Rich) is too intoxicating, as is the incredibly faint smell of sex on the air and the anticipation of hot, rich blood down his gullet.

........Okay, so Nero apparently just prioritising a kitchen is also kind of endearing. Before he pushes the doors open, he pauses and offers a sly little smile.] So you really do value feeding others, as well as yourself, huh? No wonder you're so thoughtful ♡ I can't imagine you'd keep a functioning kitchen all to yourself, after you've gone so far out of your way to help me~

[What can he say? He's lived a very long life, and feeding people is the one way he really knows how to care for them. Words are difficult. His social graces are getting better the longer he spends in his faction, but at the same time, being properly comforting escapes him during the majority of his life events.

Other actions work, but there's always the possibility of those ending poorly for the people he's trying to actually protect. Food? Giving in that specific way, where it's almost a transaction? He understands that. There's a level of familiarity there that gives him a great comfort.]

I'm planning on opening up a restaurant soon enough.

[Aster pauses. Hums. Then finally holds the door open, smile a lot warmer. Just Like Yakumo! Take it to the bank, boys!

...Okay so he'd feel that way about anyone he vaguely liked who enjoys cooking, but familiarity is something that Aster desperately needs right now.] If only we were at home, then I'd see about offering you capital to start it up~ Though I'd have to taste your cooking first, but with how hard you've worked already...I don't think it could be bad.

[He shoots Nero a wink, before tugging him up to the reception; apparently somebody's pre-booked a room for two hours (just in case something goes wrong, really), so check-in is nice and smooth. And maybe, just maybe, he looks professional for it. He hopes. Being in the elevator and on their way to the room in under a minute certainly makes him feel very slick, anyway.]

--Oh! Before we get distracted and I forget to ask you ever again...Is there anything you need for your kitchen? Future reference, in case this becomes a regular thing ♡ [Punctuated by him cosying in closer, eyes creasing from his smile.]

[Don't worry about it, Aster. Nero's working very hard to get his business license and building. In fact, in a few weeks, he'll be out of the pleasure palace's kitchens and in his own.]

I don't need a lot. It feels better to do most of the cooking by hand. High quality pots and pans are always a necessity. Maybe an industrial dish washer in the shop. That kinda thing. But don't feel obligated.

[Nero doesn't pull away, but he remains speaking evenly as Aster cuddles up, considering what he might need in a kitchen]

Right? Some of the chefs I hired when I was first starting out tried to use shortcuts with magic, but it never tasted quite as delicious as something that was made from start to finish with their own hands! Is there a reason for that, you think?

[It's a genuinely interesting topic, after all; Nero's lack of reaction thus doesn't offend Aster whatsoever, and he hums and aahs in thought even as he twirls the room key on one finger-- never mind, gotta put said key in the appropriate lock. Smooth sailing, baby.]

But good pots and pans...That sounds about right! I'll keep an eye out ☆ At the very least, maybe I'll see a supply shop that you don't know about? Doubtful, but more good food is something always worth investing in! Speaking of good food--

Get comfy! [At last, he peels away, if only to close the door behind them and set the croissants down on the ornate coffee table. It's...Definitely a very red, purple, pink, four-poster bed, velvet drapes, the lot-kinda room.] You've been eying these off the whole way, huh? I was almost a little jealous of some pastries...But I can't blame you, huhu~

There's something about the physical act of doing the chopping and stuff. You can kind of taste the effort. Something along those lines.

[He gives a small nod as thanks.

This room is so much and honestly way too much for him. But they're probably not going to be here for that long. He can accept this place just looks like the love hotel it is.

Nero sits on the bed, tilting his head to the side, and brushing his hair aside, so Aster has a good place to bite.]

Good food's good food. What do people usually say? Uh... hope I'm delicious?

[His face goes red as he says it and his gaze wanders off from Aster. That's embarrassing.]

Maybe that's it...And there's more love put into something you've truly sh--

[Good thing the croissants have been safely secured, because Aster has to at least make a show of trying to muffle the giggle that comes bursting out of him. "Hope I'm delicious" is about the cutest thing he's heard in forever, to be honest, and it probably shows in the warm look Nero receives for his efforts.

No need to keep him waiting, then.] --I have no doubt that you will be. Also, fair warning; I'll have to numb the area a little first, so you don't have to get all shy about it when I start. It's just a part of the process, promise! [And he slips over, boots kicked off on the way, to wiggle around and tenderly embrace Nero from behind. The Natural Feeding Position.
.........Maybe it's not natural, the way he wraps his legs around in additional embrace. But that's for security reasons, right? Just to make sure that there's no sudden jolts that could make things worse.

Aster nuzzles against the crook of Nero's neck, sighing contentedly, before breathing out,] If you want me to stop, slap me on the leg and I'll let you go. Don't be afraid of me, 'kay? Promise, I'm a good little vampire.

[And then he starts prepping. Kittenish little licks and the gentlest nibbles, all incisor and no fang; so long as the skin's wet and absorbing his saliva, the numbing should start spreading a pleasantly cool burn throughout the surrounding flesh. It'd be a weird combination to have with the intense wildfire of the aphrodisiac, but-- well. He's not counting on that at the moment, anyway. It's already proven to be unreliable at best, so if it works at all, it'll be a pleasant surprise.]

[He knows what he said was embarrassing, but at least Aster makes an attempt to stifle his laughter. Honestly, Nero would probably laugh at somebody from the pure surprise of them saying anything along those lines.

This is the first time he's ever offered to let somebody feed from his blood. Whatever Aster is doing, he will assume is natural. Hard to say what isn't normal, when you barely know what normal is for the task at hand.]

Gotcha.

[Nero will remember that.

It doesn't feel hot for him, the aphrodisiac not quite at a level to do much to him. The area feels oddly cold. It's one of those pleasant sensations he didn't expect to enjoy. He gives a pleased little hum.]

[Perhaps unnecessary, but old habits are hard to break. As much as Aster's accustomed to soaking up praise, he's also used to doling it out to soothe and reassure. ...In certain situations. And not to certain people. Which Nero isn't one of, so-- anyway! The point is, it gets followed up with a kiss (just above the numbed spot, naturally), loudly smacked for emphasis.

Nero is a good boy, after all.

One that Aster's quite content to keep mouthing at and gently running his fingers up and down the torso of, apparently. He has to work out all of his anticipation somehow, even if it's getting harder to keep a track of his own hands and whether they're above belt-line or not. Maybe a little test prick, just to see how the numbing's working? Enough to threaten to break through the skin, but not quite.]

...That hurt much? It should just be pressure, not pain~

[This is embarrassing deep down to his core. It's not bad but the praise, though it's not much, is not something he's ever built up any resistance to. His face flushes bright red, and he's grateful Aster can't look directly at his face.

Aster's hands might be going lower, but it doesn't mean Nero moves away. Everything about this is already overwhelming enough, even without any aphrodisiacs flooding his system.]

No, it doesn't hurt at all. Drink up?

[In one fell swoop, he pulls Nero in closer still and finally bites down; the suction seal his lips forms isn't perfect by any means, but at least it's only the thinnest dribbles of wasted blood. And absolutely that's for the best, given how, after the first deep pull, Aster groans thick and nasal.

Oh fuck. Oh fuck, this is. This is the good shit. He was right on the money with that sniff of magical potential; there's a sweetness that's just not present with civilian blood, buzzing and snapping on his tongue like popping candy. There's too much wastage already, like leaving crumbs on a plate after eating the most delicious cake you've ever had in your life. He breaks the seal to swipe his tongue over that stray rivulet, panting softly, before cinching his legs around Nero's hips a little tighter.

Mostly for warmth, to absorb ambient vitality, for some faint perception of affection. But hey, he'll take a little friction if he can get it.] Almost as good as Master, so delicious ♡♡ [And back in the fangs go. Waste not want not, babes.]

[Despite Nero's resistance to actually speak about what he is, he's a wizard that's been alive for hundreds of years. It's only a fraction of time, compared to some of the other ones he knows, but he is more powerful than he'd like to say.

It's a strange feeling, to know that his blood is being sucked, and somebody's feeding off of him. Nothing at all like the exchange he makes at a shop, far more intimate. That's something he's used to. This is something completely different.

There's a mumbled-]

Good. [Embarrassing. Somehow all of this is more embarrassing than the time he went home with a guy after three conversations.]

[oh god not only is he fucking delicious as hell (and really, even coming close to Eiden is a compliment in itself, given that he's 'identical' to the one energy signal that Aster desires the most by nature), but Nero is also just. cute. God. CUTE. Aster doesn't have to see his face to just know what expression he's pulling, and he can't help but grin, even though he knows full well that probably means his fangs are going to penetrate a little deeper still.

It's probably pushing his luck.

It's definitely pushing his luck, actually. But he's an opportunist at heart, anyway. So he shifts a little, angles his legs so that they practically force Nero's thighs apart, worming on in there like this is his personal space now. Maybe if he pushes a little more, he'll get more cute reactions? Or he'll get to feed on everything this handsome little font of magic has to offer, if he's good enough...

Hopefully. Maybe if he slips one hand up, thumb brushing over Nero's bottom lip and threatening to push past, and the other hand down over his belly instead. It'd be unfair to let him be the only one having a great time, after all, and such potent blood always gets him worked up faster than he'd like.]

[What did he say? Slap him if it's becoming too much? He doesn't know how much Aster needs to drink, but it seemed like it was less if it was magical. Nero doesn't feel fully drained, not after just a few moments of this.

His heartbeat speeds up. The need to survive starts kicking in, but he's trying to be a decent enough meal that Aster doesn't have to immediately ask for somebody else.

The vampire venom, or bite, doesn't do exactly what it's meant to. Nero isn't getting riled up the same way Aster is. When Aster's hands go down there's a twitch of his arms like he's fighting the urge to slap him away. Just a little more, and then he'll get away.]

[--that's not the normal rocketing pulse that he's used to. There's something-- he's twitching, minute, but still there, and honed into Nero's very veins as he is, Aster instantly stiffens and starts withdrawing.

It might be nothing. The jitters of a first-timer. But he'll never prove Master Huey right on bloodsucking, at least; the very thought of it is enough to make what was seconds prior pure ambrosia curdle in his gut.]

...Hey.

[Both hands are on Nero's shoulders now, legs tucked away under their owner and mouth still idly cleaning the wound. ...Look, it's still delicious fucking food, and he's not going to disrespect what's been given up here. Aster just...Needs to be sure.] Sorry~ I got ahead of myself...I knew you'd taste good, but you really are something else. I kind of forgot myself for a second and treated you like I would've treated my Master! Sorry, sorry~

[One last lick over the puncture marks, before he slithers off the mattress altogether, careful to keep his back to Nero so that the guilt plain on his face doesn't burden both of them.] If you're feeling dizzy, lay down. I'll get the supplies, so you'll feel better soon ♡
