[There's no resistance in Childe's body as she hauls him inside, not a hint of remorse or even uncertainty in his expression when the door rattles at his back with the force of her palm against it. Rather, those dull eyes come as close to lighting up as they ever get. Adrenaline courses through him, setting him on fire like only the promise of a real battle can anymore.

It's a terrible idea to rile her up. He does it anyway because he is the Eleventh Harbinger, the Tsaritsa's vanguard, and this is what he lives for.]

What's there to explain? We have unfinished business.

[The slur in his voice is a complete contrast to the clarity of his stare. He watches Eula with the kind of intent that might be rabbit-like were it not for its blatant provocation. He glances to the side and, when he spots the claymore, his smile turns icy.]

Pick up your weapon and fight me.

[ how he's able to sound coherent and incoherent at the same time floors this spindrift knight. eula can feel herself getting hot too, but not in the same way as childe's. no, she's experiencing some sort of tranquil fury that could have evolved into something more mercurial at a better time and place. if she isn't already awake before... ]

[ despite her deep-seated anger, her voice is ice-cold and controlled as she meets his gaze, purple/yellow staring into the deep abyss of his unlit eyes. ]

The sheer audacity of you waltzing into my place as if you're welcome here, demanding for a fight in such a small space while being drunk out of your mind. Are you even aware of your actions at this point?

[Childe listens in silence, the upwards tilt of his chin exuding more insolence than any words could. Every nerve in his body spikes with impatience but he forces himself to keep his cool, to fight the rising bloodlust and let her accept without forcing her hand. While he doesn't care how he gets Eula to fight, it'll be more satisfying to watch her give in.

The comment about unfair advantages goes without comment too, a dismissive little chuff giving away exactly how he feels about that, but the first part? Oh, he knows exactly why she might agree to this.]

Because you hate me, Eula Lawrence. [He leans forward, close enough to be within inches of her ear as he talks.] Because I know you've been itching to put me in my place. So do it. Pick up your sword and fight me.

[And with that, he shoulder checks her out of his way and steps out from her shadow.]

[ does she? she's still not over the sheer audacity of this guy, harbinger or not... and that mention of her last name made her freeze in place too, just for a hot second. that's right, he's one of the few people here who knows of her family lineage. and if she doesn't silence him right now--

[And she'd be right. Childe's movements, though full of swagger, are sluggish and the seconds he loses in reaction time is exactly what Eula needs to land the first hit. He chokes out a curse as pain shoots down through his neck and shoulders and, at first, it almost seems as though it's had the desired effect. His legs tremble, his vision blacks out- and then he's stumbling forward and catching himself against the wall with a gasp.

No passing out. Not when he's finally got what he wanted.

The pants turn into a wheezing laugh.]

Gonna have to hit harder than that, comrade!

[Speaking of which- what is there to throw around here? He considers going for the claymore but she's already demonstrated that she has the speed advantage. Which leaves... sure, why not. He ducks to the side and snatches up a lamp, ripping its wire as he wrenches it from the socket. The same brutish energy goes into swinging it directly at her base-first.

shit, and she thought she'd finally knocked him out. she's not even going to think about how she's deliberately holding back on him due to the cramped space of her apartment, but now she's regretting it as he's starting to use her own furniture against her...?!

her eyes widen, but she narrowly dodges the lamp as childe keeps coming at her. left, right, left -- and then she reaches her arm forward to grab for that makeshift weapon and attempt to wrestle it out of his hands. so long as he's unarmed, he won't be making that much damage to the place, and maybe, just maybe, she could actually take down the harbinger herself--

no, that's not the focus right now. she has to subdue him asap, which she'll do as soon as soon as she disarms him.
