Yeah. Feed 'em, give 'em water, play with 'em when they let me. Try t' get 'em medical care, too, but that's a li'l harder.

No, it's not weird for you.

[This is absolutely in line with Izo's personality, and Lalli can picture him taking care of strays. So yes, he'll tell Izo he is acting normally. Is that reassuring? Maybe, to those who understand Lalli-isms.]

Dogs are acceptable companions, better than annoying people.

[Cats are Better but he will save that 20-page thesis for another day.]

[ Izō can't fight the grin that spreads across his face. He's gotten used to Lalli and the particular way he talks and prying meaning out of it. They get each other on some level. ]

[ Lalli deserves to see him open up a little, even if it's just a glimpse. ]

[Oh, what a cute smile. That's not something Lalli sees often on Izo's face. He must truly be at peace, being around these dogs.

It's good, Lalli decides. Izo deserves to be at peace. And that look on him is far nicer than all the angry faces he makes.]

Dogs know when a person is trustworthy. If they trust you, then it means you are good to animals.

[It's wisdom that's true of cats too, which is where he's pulling it from. Lalli doesn't mind normal dogs, they just have a lot of energy and tire him out quickly.]

I am a cat person, yes. I have a cat soul and a cat youkai.

[He mentions both so Izo doesn't mistake 'cat soul' to mean his youkai. He's been cat-coded since long before he gained that particular tagalong.]
