[ He looks relieved -- not that he expected Hizen to object to his suggestion. The sword boy is very food motivated. Izō motions for him to follow and leads the way.

Once they're in and seated with the promised drinks and pile of meat, he lets Hizen get first pick of what he wants. ]

[ His cold, confident words are a jarring contrast to the way he plays with a slightly older dog, rubbing its belly as it playfully snaps at his fingers. ]

[ Just as Izō said, she immediately starts asserting her dominance with the other dogs. Little squabbles break out, but one by one they all fall in line. Even the largest dog just...lets her eat out of his bowl. ]

[ Between Nishitani and Andy, neither of them would question anyone screaming in their sleep. They get it, they've been there, and they might be the ones screaming tomorrow. Nishitani puts an arm over Izo's back, kissing at his bicep and shoulder easily. Just little creature comforts, things to keep Izo perked up. ]

[ It's warm and familiar now. He lets himself lean against Nishitani a little bit, much more at ease. It's not like anything is actually better, but this is enough for now. ]

But before that can even settle in and give him time to think about the reasons why, the view of Izo himself makes Shealtiel freeze in place. There are the fangs, yes, the feet, the everything— but what immediately draws his eyes in are the dark wings at his back. He sees them, he hears them shifting even the smallest amount, and his mind flashes with images of spilled cups, of the nuns surrounding him, of horrible, disgusting taste in his mouth and his stomach burning and pushing upwards—

It's been so long in this place that he's not able to cover his mouth in time before he throws up. Hopefully not on Izo, like he usually does? Maybe just on some stardust? On the street?

Shealtiel is too busy hunched over and trying to recover from sudden illness to quite notice just what he's done. )

Yeah. Feed 'em, give 'em water, play with 'em when they let me. Try t' get 'em medical care, too, but that's a li'l harder.

[ He seems pretty well at ease right now, probably the most relaxed Lalli's seen him in awhile. ]

[ Izō has absolutely none of the reaction time necessary to avoid the splash zone and he's pissed about it. ]

[ Yeah, he's just going to grab Shealtiel by the shoulders and try to pull him into a more upright position to yell at him. ]

( He can't even properly yell about this when he's just thrown up, and now he's being pulled up?! Shealtiel claps a hand over his mouth to try and prevent another reaction as he's held even closer to those disgusting wings. He manages to hold back from letting anything out this time, but he does give a horribly upset groan. )

Grghh. Stop... your wings... Let go of me, demon, before I get sick again.

( At least he gets the fair warning out, this time. It's a tad bit late for it, though. )
