[ He stopped and sighed before cautiously started again. ]
I was trying so hard not to say it, but now you said it so now it's a possibility. Uuuuughhhhh....
[ All of this was already a lot of trouble but now he has to be on the lookout for active trouble. ]
I hope its trouble I can punch in the face, so its easier to deal with.

[She gave him an overly confident thumbs up as she focused on her own path, coming around to the backdoor and looking around the corner at him. At least she was ready in case anyone came bolting out the back, right?]
no subject
[ But his karma is terrible. Finding and entering the bookstore, he quickly realized justy how OLD it actually is. ]
Hello?
[ He says cautiously as an old tengu popped around the corner and said - ]
Get out! You're not welcome!
[ Bishop paused and furrowed his brow, whispering to Tenshi. ]
This is the right place right?
no subject
[There was a bunch of squawking, irritation, more than a few cuss words shouted before one window was opened and he looked out at her first from one end. And then went to the front and looked out before noting that yes indeed, there was one for Bishop.]
Damnit, it's the idiot! Well, at least you managed to find 'em. Get in here fast 'fore someone sees you!
[She walked around and shrugged over at Bishop. 'paranoid?' she mouthed, motioning with her thumb as she carried the box with the supplies.]
no subject
Here's our end of the deal. Do you have the pocket watch?
[ He says leading the conversation, simply because he seemed less likely to get chewed out. ]
Eh? Watch? Watch, what?
[ Bishop sighed. ]
P-O-C-K-E-T W-A-T-C-H.
Oh, that. Give me a second. And you didn't need to yell!
[ Somewhere, a vein was throbbing hard in Bishop's body ready to pop. ]
no subject
I'll admit. Getting that old's not something I'm sorry I missed out on.
'WHAT WAS THAT, KID? YA GOTTA SPEAK UP!'
Nothing Oji-san!
[She smiled positively innocently as the pocket watch was brought out and presented. Giving him a quick bow, she moved to hustle them out.]
Enjoy your protractors. We'll be out of your hair soon.
'WHAT?!?'
GOODBYE!
'Damn girl, ya don't have to scream at an old man! Have a nice day. ...whippersnappers!'
[She gave him a 'let's get out of here before he remembers his hearing' look]

The metal was rusted, even turning green in some parts. The chain too was rusted and looked like it could crumble, and the glass of the watch face was yellowed and foggy around the edges. Surprisingly though, the mechanism was still fucntioning albeit a few minutes off. ]
Good Lord, this thing is running on the power of hopes and prayers.
[ Gently tucking it in his inner breast pocket, Bishop took out the list. ]
Alright, now we bring this old thing to the zashiki in the inn.....according to this it's near the edge of the Tamamo district. Lead the way will you, lets see if I can find a trade we can skip.
no subject
[She nodded and folded her arms, squinting at the thing. The irritation she had been showing melted a little and she looked almost sympathetic.]
Youkai like this get kind of lost. they want pieces of who they were, since now they're here. Anyway, don't want to take too long. That thing's barely holding together.
[She motioned and set off, letting him check for stuff to skip while she focused on finding the fastest way to get this done.]
no subject
Oh, here we go. With this Zashiki, we get an old paintbrush set. We can skip the next three trades and go to the nikusui art student. She said she wanted a new set of brushes, so depending on the condition of these brushes we could pull this off, otherwise - .
[ Though he scratches his head. ]
- it might take a bit of convicing. I can handle that.
[ He thinks. ]
no subject
Uh... [AHEM. Rude to talk about vampiric habits.] Didn't she have the makeups she said didn't suit her that were the shade that Kaeru Nyobu wanted? That's sort of perfect, since I actually know her. She works at the place I bounce.
(OOC: btw, I love that you go to yokai.com and find all these random yokai. It really suits the setting.)
no subject
A vampiric art student using a coffee shop as a feeding ground.
[ He inhales sharply and buries his head into the notes. It's too on the nose to be anything but frustrating. ]
....Deep breaths, Bishop, deep breaths....
[ Why are his experiences with vampires always so frustrating? ]
Sounds good. I'll talk to the student, you can handle your colleague. The Tamamo and the Shuten are still technically at each others necks after all.
no subject
[She was utterly clueless to any of the discomfort she might have caused right there. Nope, vampires in coffee houses just sounded normal to her. Adaptable little youkai...]
Yeah, I'll talk with her. Should go pretty easy. She's actually really nice. Little shy for someone that works in Tamamo, but it kind of works for her, you know? But good thinking on that.
no subject
Tenshi.
[ He gestures to his head to the inside of the cafe, their current client inside talking up an unsuspecting yokai. ]
God, just once I'd like to meet a vampire that is ACTUALLY Dracula-like. Do you have any idea how disappointing it is as demon hunter to chase down a vampire terrorizing a village only to find they're some mad ravenous monster that just attacks anything that's got the red in their veins, or some socially adjust non-threat that only nibbles to satiate the urge? Just once. Just once. I'd like to fight and kill a vampire that has a castle, impales people, and classy victorian gothic. But no. I only every encounter weird or ferals ones, and the feral ones are accurate and techinically a threat, I can't make banter! And why is it always a lowkey cafe with these non-threats?!
[ And his gripes keep going as he takes the case of brushes and starts to stomp inside, griping and leaving Tenshi outside. Once inside, the switch flips and Bishop is prim and proper, maybe even a little charming as he smiles and shows the vampiric yokai the antique brushes and - judging by how she squeals in delight then glomps Bishop, who was quick to shove her away - she must have liked them and promptly gave to him a makeup set. Bishop was also quick to return. Inside :); outside B< ]
These non-threats, I swear. Shattering my hopes and dreams one stereotype at a time. C'mon, lets get these to your coworker.
no subject
She was still wearing a shit-eating grin.]
Man... [She motioned for him to follow as she started down the road.] You would die a horrible death of irritation in my world. Everyone's cute, adorable and nice looking until they go crazy and start wielding world shattering power.
Remilia would drive you nuts, but you'd love the mansion itself.
no subject
I'll take your word for it.
[ 'Just once' he mutters as the familiar lights of the Tamamo district come into view. ]
Here, you hold onto this. I'll wait at the end of the district, I can already feel some less than pleased Tamamo hosts staring at me.
no subject
Sure. Just wait here for a minute. I'll be back with the obi. That's what she was going to give us. I think there was that Usagi that wanted a new sash for their summer yukata. Damn, but I think we're near the end.
[She departed, waving to a few of those angry looking hosts and disappearing into the building. It wasn't a long time before she was coming back with the length of silk in her hands and a smile on her face.]
Ok, what's next on the list? We get this to the rabbit, and ... uh... who was it that actually knew which thing they wanted in the vending machine?
no subject
He was half way through is canned coffee when she returned, quickly finishing it and discarding it, properly in the correct recepticle. Military discipline comes out at odd times. ]
Some kejourou who wanted a picture of some host. Let's see...
[ He takes out the notes and, once more, checks for the list of trades they have to do. Then he checks again. And again. And again. Each time with more fervor than before. ]
Oh my God. I don't believe it. We can actually see the end.
[ He takes his notes out and shows it to her alongside her own. ]
The usagi wants a new obi, but there's a host who fancies her and wants something suitable to gift her. It's THIS host that we need a picture of. If we give him the gift, instead of getting whatever it is we can just ask him for a picture free of charge. Then we can go to the kejourou, find out which machine it is, and put and end to this stupid. Fucking. Thing.
no subject
[She actually did one of those little jump moves dumb video characters did when they won a battle. Honestly, this felt like a triumph getting this far.]
Ok, so... he's not one of our hosts, so I can let you handle him. The Usagi still gets the obi either way, and it works out in the end for us. Two more steps and we can get whatever it is that bastard wants.
[At which point she could freak out about the magazine having a peach on the cover because that was a whole thing in itself.]
no subject
Right. Let's put an end to this.
[ He walks into the Tamamo district now, no fear of reprecusion or assault as nothing can really stop him now. He looks up and down the row of host bars whilst struggling to remember the name of the specific place to go to. ]
We're looking for a place called Phoenix Palace. It's got a crown logo.
[ He made a face over how tacky the name is. ]
no subject
[It was her district after all, so she took point in starting down the direction. He might have had the contact, but she could shortcut the travel as much as possible while they soldiered on.]
It feels like we're on a weird scavenger hunt.
no subject
[ He scoffs. This was easily why he doesn't do favors. The club comes into view and Bishop wastes no time in storming past the lobby and into one of the rooms, searching until eventually finding the host they're looking for. Great Shuten PR, right here. ]
Oi. Here. Your request. That Usagi girl you're aiming for, she wants this. Gift this to her and you're bound to get into her good graces.
...
Ah.
[ And he said all that without noticing the lady next to him, most likely the client. ]
...Good evening, miss.
[ Tenshi do something. ]
no subject
Excuse me Miss. I'm going to have word with this young gentleman out back.
[She left the hint of where to meet them to the entertainer before quietly slamming the door shut and hustling him towards the entrance with a hiss.]
'Quick. he knows you have it for him Wait out back before their actual bouncers find you. I'll smooth it out with them.'
[which was to say that she'd be bribing the first bouncer who was coming charging up as soon as she'd muscled Bishop out the door, waving her hands apologetically. Nothing like a little grease, eh?]
no subject
Doing as she says, Bishop quickly steps out and waits outside by the back entrance for Tenshi and the host in question.
Once they've arrived, he hands over the obi and - after some coordinating (mostly the host trying make himself look good) - Bishop snaps the "candid" picture and they say their goodbyes. ]
Ooooookay....almost done. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel...
no subject
The snap of the picture and an apologetic bow with a fake smile later, and she was walking with him, sighing.]
Just that one stop right, then we go get the magazine, if I remember. Who was it that knew what we needed? I've only got enough for one of those magazines. Nothing else.
no subject
[ Once more, digging through the notes he identifies where they're supposed to go. ]
Her place is...nearby in the Tamamo district. Of course, she is.
[ Whatever. He slams his notebook shut and tucks it away. ]
Hopefully no one will try to throw a rock at me again.
