(The best way to stop people from getting in is to watch the entrance. He doesn't expect anyone to just waltz in through the obvious entrances and there are plenty of people keeping an eye out there. Instead, Hizen opts to watch a smaller, less obvious entrance that people can use to sneak in past whatever guards might be on duty.
He keeps his distance, preferring to watch from the shadows of an alley and enjoys how slow the job is for the time being… by enjoying a rice ball. It might be a job but he's still entitled to his snack breaks. Not even the government back home can take that away from him.
When he catches someone poking around, he finishes the last of his onigiri and begins to make his way towards his new target, )
It's closed.
(Some oni have thrown some boxes or something in front of to make it more difficult to get through but it's not impossible.)
Try somewhere else.
UNDERGROUND
(When it comes to closed, dark spaces, Hizen has always had an advantage. After all, wakizashi are convenient for assassinations and all wakizashi spirits seem to inherit a natural talent for sneaking around in dangerous places. Being the sword of an assassin only makes it easier for him.
He knows how to walk quietly, making sure he makes as little sound as possible in the tunnels. Let the sound of water below and the streets above drown out most of his sounds so he can sneak around. He keeps to the shadows and knows where to hide or how far back to stay to keep out of sight. There are no special abilities or powers at play here— it's all skill so anyone with a special talent or sharp senses will be able to sense him eventually but he's good at lying low in wait, stalking potential prey.
His eyes adjust to the darkness and he can make out who his allies and enemies easily. When he sees a fellow Shuten member, he makes a point to take a heavier step so he's heard but stays out of sight a moment longer before revealing himself. He's been shot once this month and he's not in the mood to get hurt again because of friendly fire fo all things,)
It's a dead end.
(The direction they're heading in right now.)
(If he sees someone who isn't a Shuten, he sticks to the shadows and just... keeps watching! Eventually, he might yawn and warn though,)
Keep going and you'll be in trouble.
UNDERGROUND: TAMAMO BULLYING EDITION
(You are a Tamamo and you have managed to make it underground. Somewhere along the way, you've called Hizen out for stalking you or just ran into him. Either way, with alliances established and so on, he doesn't look impressed when he realizes he's stumbled onto a Tamamo.
He tugs at the scarf over his face and let's out a short laugh,)
You guys really came? Thought you'd be worried about breaking a nail or something.

... Oh dear.]
Hizen, come here.

What do you want?
( They’re supposed to be representing their own factions here so why is Norimune calling him over now in front of everyone… )
no subject
Norimune reaches out to carefully grab Hizen's loosen tie, and start to fix it.]
Fixing this up for you. You can loosen this up later.
[Doing this? In front of everyone? The service haven't formally started yet, they have time.]
Let me know if it's too tight.

Speaking of shelling out-- the funeral food is the best eating he's gonna get while he's post-suit broke, so of course it's by the refreshments that he runs into Hizen. He sets his little plate down on the nearest table, offering Hizen a wave.]
Hizen-san. [His eyes flicker down to that disheveled tie. Really, now... it's a formal occasion... Brow furrowing, he takes a step closer.] Do you want me to fix that for you? Toraguma'll scold you if he sees your tie looking like that.

He dislikes being noticed by others, especially when something is wrong and he stiffens, looking absolutely annoyed,)
I can fix it.

[ Kim doesn't have the money for a decent suit. And he's not about to waste his hard-earned paycheck on a bad one. He has his pride; while he has no problem doing the tailoring himself, anything made of half-decent material will cost at least a month's pay.
For his part, he's staying well out of the way of the fighting, perhaps half because of the rental. He brushes some invisible dust from the front of it and loosens his own tie, so it feels like less of a noose around his neck. That said, the suit clearly isn't the most important thing here -- not that he's going to discuss clan politics with Hizen.
And that is Hizen, isn't it? It's good to see that the boy's here, looking as hale and hearty as he could reasonably expect. ] Hizen, right? Your wounds have healed well?
[ That must be another reason for his anger. Hizen had attempted to pursue the perpetrators, caught a bullet for his troubles and, if the Daitengu's reappearance is to be believed, hadn't even been pursuing authentic killers. ]
no subject
That's all to say that Hizen actually has a pretty nice one. It's his first one and he's had people make sure that he got something nice to wear for once. Add in the fact that he refused to let anyone pay for him because of his own pride!! He is very annoyed! Double add the fact that he was shot for this! He'll never forgive the Daitengu.
The Daitengu might be alive but they are dead to Hizen.
He's grumbling and his temper is rising (unsurprisingly) and everyone is still processing and reeling from the Daitengu's reveal. The fighting isn't too bad. There are more verbal altercations than physical ones.... for now but people are beginning to push and shove.
He looks up when he hears Kim and seems surprised to see him again so soon,)
Yeah. (He lifts up the front of his suit. It's not like Kim can see because his shirt is neatly tucked in and everything but he's fine.) Got some more help.
(Stitches just like he was told. And everyone made sure he rested until he was better.)
The boss helped too.
(Thanks for giving him back his self-healing, Toraguma.)

tamamo bullying
[ Musashi smirked, but didn't quite share his laughter, her gaze narrowing instead as she drew her sword, raising the edge to be level with her eyes. She had her other arm bound up in a sling, clearly already injured... One had to wonder just how much of a fight she could put up. ]
no subject
… Well, he’s worked through worse. )
Good enough ain’t great.
( And he’s confident when it comes to his skill with a sword. He shifts into a ready position, hand on the hilt of his sword and studies her for a moment. There’s the obvious weak point but he’s looking for other points to attack.
He doesn’t have killing orders so he doesn’t have to kill. Seriously injuring isn’t out of the question, though. )
no subject
[ She didn't intend to kill, either... but she also didn't have to. The fact he was already visibly underestimating her was exactly what she'd been aiming for. ]
So do you want the lady to lead in this dance? Not sure how your boss would feel about that...

Seriously, what gives?]
Tch, nothing can be more troublesome than all of this.
[Holds her arms out this W I D E! And then promptly takes out a pocky and munches away.] 'Side's, if it's a dead end what's the problem?
no subject
(Going down a dead end where there's nothing.)
Let's go back. Try another way.
(Maybe they'll get lucky and find a fox or something.)
no subject
[Namely the Jolly Blue Giant. Seriously, who would want to build anything inside a sewer? Then again, Ibaraki supposed there was only so much space to go around here, and the tunnels are really extensive.]
Fine, but they're not all going to come out and fight us directly.
[Another pocky taken out to munch on.]
Be better to lie in wait for them instead of wandering around looking for foxes. [Or even better, not and say they did. There was better ways to spend their time anyway.]

pls no bulli, natori says ineffectually
Natori's in what he thinks of as his standard exorcist wear, which doesn't look too out of place for an urban environment. Comfortable and unremarkable Western-style clothes, most notably a jacket with roughly a billion pockets to supplement the messenger bag slung over his shoulder, both full of scraps of paper and other exorcist supplies. He has a long, thin stick with an ofuda speared through the top; it looks completely ineffective as a weapon, but if he can say one good thing about the grime on the floor it's that he's able to scratch spell circles into it without having to resort to chalk. He's covered his hair with a bucket hat, which are inexplicably in style despite being hideous. This is a strategic choice, so any Shutens they come across can't do any hair pulling. The glasses he's wearing are... more for his companion's sake than his own; here in the ayakashi realm, his glasses won't make a difference, but he's gotten into the habit of using glasses as another mark of when he's on exorcist business, and also he wants Chongyun to see him wearing them.
Because, of course, he also has Chongyun, who even Natori knows is one of the most effective weapons available to the Lost Souls in the Tamamo Clan. (Four for you, Glen Chongyun) That doesn't stop him from stepping out in front of Chongyun once Hizen shows himself, since he still feels the need to play the protective adult. He plants the pointy end of his stick into the ground, a few dolls hovering over his shoulder.]
Well, hello again. I can't say it's nice to run into you here. [Look, Natori has no illusions about which way the balance of power lies in a straight fight between their two clans.] Would you believe we're just lost urban explorers?
sticky my leggie in here
Especially when they're working reconnaissance. Early on into the investigation there's someone else's aura; he glances to the side a few times without moving his head and says nothing, wondering if they plan on simply observing or if they'll move to engage. A question answered when Natori steps in front of him—which Chongyun almost protests, because he's the guy with the sword and Natori is the squishy white mage in this party setup—but out of respect for the elder exorcist he closes them.
The image of how easily he slapped Natori off that bridge and his shrill, terrified shriek before splashing into the Sanzu's waters does flash in front of his eyes for a second though. His bone density ... hopefully he's been getting more calcium lately.
Leaning, Chongyun peeks around Natori's shoulder to see who it is, but doesn't say anything yet. ]
bullies!!!!
He'd recognized the two of them easily enough but they were different with Natori's talismans and Chongyun's broadsword. He wonders what that light at his side is, too. He's not familiar with whatever it is he's sensing from it but it's best to be careful. Everyone in this city is more than what they seem.
Lowering his scarf to reveal his face properly, he replies flatly,)
No.
(He wouldn't believe them. From Natori, he shifts his gaze over to Chongyun... and glares. It's clear enough that he's displeased to see him and warning him to stay back before looking back at Natori,)
You know him? (As unamused as ever,) What a pain...
(Annoying. Truly annoying.)
Right. (Anyway,) Make it easy and get lost.
I SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED THE OPPOSITE OF THIS
yes, you requested natori being bullied by teens!!
