1. WELCOMING COMMITTEE

The influx of Lost Souls means the factions need to have a little welcoming party of sorts. The leaders of each faction each send a message to their new recruits, telling them to meet at their respective headquarters.

The Shuten Clan directs their new recruits to the Arena. There’s plenty of food and booze to go along with the exhibition matches from the toughest fighters they’ve got. Enjoy the view or get involved in an arena fight, if you’re feeling spicy. If bloodsport isn’t your cup of tea, there’s a number of gambling games to partake in, too – don’t worry, your money isn’t at stake here, unless you want it to be.

The Tamamo Clan recruits are sent to the brothel Mizukume. Hosts of all sorts are there to fill your every need. If you’re not one to be doted on, there’s also exotic dancers in every state of undress for you to look at. You may be tasked with being a host or a dancer yourself. If you’re not in the mood for that, there’s plenty of food from Tamamo-controlled restaurants to eat and seemingly endless drinks. The drinks may or may not have a little something extra in them, so check the labels carefully.

The Sutoku Alliance meets at the nightclub Konoha. It’s truly a celebration with an enormous amount of fast food from every joint in their district and an equal amount of cheap drinks. Sing your heart out with live band karaoke – don’t worry about them not knowing your song, they seem to have a depth of knowledge beyond this world. Once that settles down, there’s plenty of dancing to do or you can be a wallflower, whatever suits your mood.

The Department of the Enma meets at a meeting room on the top floor of Kaigo no Bou. The room is uncomfortably opulent and wouldn’t be out of place in a Heian imperial court. Fine silk tapestries cover the walls, richly lacquered wood is inlaid with gold, and it all feels like it was decorated by someone with more money than taste. There’s fine food and even finer drink available. Various multi-armed youkai play in a jazz band, playing their instruments in a much more complicated manner than strictly necessary. Stretch your legs and dance. Take a peek out the window for a bird’s eye view of the city. If the interior is too stuffy for you, escape to the roof for some fresh air – just be careful not to fall off.

2. PARTY TIME

After everyone’s had their fill of food, drink, and entertainment: the party isn’t over. They’re told to make their way to Konoha with the instruction to show their faction’s pride. That’s a careful way to tell them to raise hell. Upon arrival, all recruits are provided with an advance on their pay by The Enma. Food is provided by the Shuten Clan, a variety of all sorts of meaty foods. Drinks are provided by the Tamamo Clan, but be wary because some may have that special Tamamo kick to them (read: aphro). It’s technically a neutral meeting place, but there’s almost certain to be a fight sooner or later. Entertain yourself, meet the other factions, and raise some Hell.

ritsu looks at his hands, then murr's, then puts his hands in murr's, he guesses. why not. what's the worst that could happen. )

No way! That'd be kinda harsh, wouldn't it?

[ can't say it didn't cross his mind but he's more interested in seeing what's wrong. they look a little sore? red? but they're soft and murr is more than happy to press them against his own cheeks for a moment. ]

Warm...

[ and then he takes one of ritsu's hands, holds it in front of his own face, and licks from the base of his wrist all the way up to the tip of his middle finger. ]

( they're scraped because roofs are awful and hhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!?!?!?

ritsu yanks his hands away, making a face... what.... why......... )

.........Unless your spit's got some healing properties, I don't want it.

[ no promises. still, he keeps his tongue out for a split second longer before offering a very feline-ish grin. ]

So. You taking some time and getting some fresh air too? Or are you also looking for the moon?

[ where are you, moon wife??? ]

Yeah, I'm gettin' some fresh air. I don't really like loud places... ( Like, for some places it's totally understandable, but they're not super his scene. Won't catch him willingly going into an arcade or something like that. ) You like the moon or somethin'?

[ weird how the moon won't let him lick!!! ]

Eh? [ murr's eyes widen. ] So then I've found the moon twice and you didn't tell me the first time!

[ but then he laughs and carefully rocks back and forth. last thing he needs to do is fall off. ]

I do. The moon is so amazing! hands up in the air, he shakes them around. I wanna learn all of its secrets, uncover all of its mysteries!

[ and then murr leans against ritsu, wrapping one arm around his waist and pulling slightly. ]

but pushing murr away or moving too much could spell trouble... for them... this high up, so ritsu settles for the "hackles raised" vibe and leans away as much as he reasonably can. ) There's not much t'learn about the moon, though. We went to it, and it's just a hunk of rock. Some people think it used to be part of the Earth, or that it was part of an asteroid that hit it, or somethin' like that... I'm not reaaaally that interested in astronomy.

yeah, probably not the best for either of them for ritsu to forcibly physically disengage here! but murr certainly notices how much discomfort he's generating and completely relishes it all, his grin smoothing out with the slightest wrinkle in the middle.

That sounds kinda boring! [ so he does sympathize with ritsu. ] But what if I said it could do more than that? What if it could cause disasters, big and small, all over the world?

[ isn't that romantic??? ]

( annoying...... this is ritsu getting a taste of his own medicine and he doesn't like it. )

...Then I'd say it sounds like you come from one of those mangas Maakun likes. ( shounen BULLSHIT. ) Or like your moon's all messed up. I mean, I kinda get it controls the tides or whatever, but usually it's earthquakes makin' tsunamis, not the moon just existin'.

What's a manga? A story? Do you know a lot of them?

They're like... comic books, I guess, if you know that kind of thing. Pictures and speech bubbles and stuff. Super popular with a lot of people, especially the younger generation.

I wonder if the Master Sage knows about things like that? I bet they do!

[ they're full of amazing knowledge from their world. murr could listen to them for days and days on end about their experiences, no matter how boring they may think of it.

[ fearlessly, murr stands up on top of the roof. he's able to somewhat anchor himself to be steady, enough so that he can turn around and then crouch down so it's easier for ritsu to climb on.

either way, once ritsu gets on--- murr's quick to scale down the house, albeit somewhat recklessly. at least no one will get hurt, except for maybe one potted plant that gets kicked off... ]

rip to that potted plant, though. ritsu doesn't leave murr's back even when they're on the ground, why would he, he likes being carried. continue. )

[ it looked like the kind of plant that'd murr would curiously eat before deciding not to eat it... and then eat it anyway. mostly to show it a lesson. ]

Oh? You mean like a horse? [ and then murr does his best horse impression; a neigh and whinny that is probably a lot closer to the source than one could actually imagine, before heading in the direction of what looks like a bunch of shops. ]

I used to play chess with a friend here and there, so I guess you could say I kinda prefer strategy ones.
