1. WELCOMING COMMITTEE

The influx of Lost Souls means the factions need to have a little welcoming party of sorts. The leaders of each faction each send a message to their new recruits, telling them to meet at their respective headquarters.

The Shuten Clan directs their new recruits to the Arena. There’s plenty of food and booze to go along with the exhibition matches from the toughest fighters they’ve got. Enjoy the view or get involved in an arena fight, if you’re feeling spicy. If bloodsport isn’t your cup of tea, there’s a number of gambling games to partake in, too – don’t worry, your money isn’t at stake here, unless you want it to be.

The Tamamo Clan recruits are sent to the brothel Mizukume. Hosts of all sorts are there to fill your every need. If you’re not one to be doted on, there’s also exotic dancers in every state of undress for you to look at. You may be tasked with being a host or a dancer yourself. If you’re not in the mood for that, there’s plenty of food from Tamamo-controlled restaurants to eat and seemingly endless drinks. The drinks may or may not have a little something extra in them, so check the labels carefully.

The Sutoku Alliance meets at the nightclub Konoha. It’s truly a celebration with an enormous amount of fast food from every joint in their district and an equal amount of cheap drinks. Sing your heart out with live band karaoke – don’t worry about them not knowing your song, they seem to have a depth of knowledge beyond this world. Once that settles down, there’s plenty of dancing to do or you can be a wallflower, whatever suits your mood.

The Department of the Enma meets at a meeting room on the top floor of Kaigo no Bou. The room is uncomfortably opulent and wouldn’t be out of place in a Heian imperial court. Fine silk tapestries cover the walls, richly lacquered wood is inlaid with gold, and it all feels like it was decorated by someone with more money than taste. There’s fine food and even finer drink available. Various multi-armed youkai play in a jazz band, playing their instruments in a much more complicated manner than strictly necessary. Stretch your legs and dance. Take a peek out the window for a bird’s eye view of the city. If the interior is too stuffy for you, escape to the roof for some fresh air – just be careful not to fall off.

2. PARTY TIME

After everyone’s had their fill of food, drink, and entertainment: the party isn’t over. They’re told to make their way to Konoha with the instruction to show their faction’s pride. That’s a careful way to tell them to raise hell. Upon arrival, all recruits are provided with an advance on their pay by The Enma. Food is provided by the Shuten Clan, a variety of all sorts of meaty foods. Drinks are provided by the Tamamo Clan, but be wary because some may have that special Tamamo kick to them (read: aphro). It’s technically a neutral meeting place, but there’s almost certain to be a fight sooner or later. Entertain yourself, meet the other factions, and raise some Hell.

[nehan has to shake his head, ignoring the unspoken question about his name in order to field actual, spoken questions from their students. such as one about customers who are too shy or reticent to state their preferences.]

This is where your managers and receptionists come in, because they're often the ones taking preferences and handing them to you before you meet with your client. If they're not doing what's expected of them, then best to put pressure on them-- you have the power, when you're putting their salaries in their pockets.

[still, he hasn't properly addressed about what to do if the customer is still tight-lipped, has he? so he shifts his weight from one leg to another, thinking quickly.]

You can cajole it out of them before you start playacting the role of dominant. You can be patient and ask. But if they still refuse... there's nothing you can do. Best to just send them on their way.

[breweries]

[ what a reticent guy. it's also starting to look like a lecture more than a lead-up to a demonstration, isn't it? at least these guys are eager enough to learn, no matter the method. ]

Someone who wouldn't give out their preferences no matter what is not worth expending your energy to, regardless.

[ this is one of those times where he needs a light more than ever to complete the image, but alas. he'll cross his arms instead. ]

If you can't practice proper consent, then we can't start toughening you all up. That's all there is to it. That is why we are asking if all of you ready for anything.

[apathie]

Yes. [miracle of miracles, nehan is actually agreeing with what the idiot says. and showing it by nodding.]

For instance... some clients will be tougher than others to crack. Ideally, you will be paired with clients who match your skillsets and experience, but there will be cases when you'll have to satisfy a customer who likes something different.

There are certain things every single one of you must know. But those who want to work with the deeper, more difficult scenarios can come with me after this training session.

[breweries]

And for those who would like a more intimate experience shall come with me. [ he nods. ] We shall give you five minutes to talk it over amongst yourselves.

[ they start muttering to themselves, consulting each other on who goes where. in the meantime, shylock walks over to nehan, watching the group with an amused stare. ]

...They're cooperative, at the very least. [ small blessings. but what a shame -- he would've loved a bit more chaos with this group. ]

[apathie]

Basics first. [he has to remind them all that-- not just his fellow "instructor", but also their "students". and he does it without raising his voice, but making sure that they can all hear him and understand him. just by expecting them all to be listening.]

All clients expect a spanking, a flogging, a whipping. It's the most commonly-known expression and practice of your duties. You need to learn how to gauge your client's threshold for pain, and adjust your blows accordingly.

[then he looks at his fellow instructor, eyebrow raised.]

Who will demonstrate, then?

[breweries]

[ he raises an eyebrow in return. ] It'd be the two of us, of course. Would you like to be the dominant?

[ he doesn't really mind, for he swings both ways. ]

[apathie]

[the erune shrugs. he might as well, when his fellow teacher strikes him as the lazy, languid sort. but at the same time, he doesn't trust him to perform properly, when he's been an annoying bastard this whole time.]

Very well. Give me a crop. [that's said to the students, who pass him an extra riding crop, worn and well-used, and he tsks. but he taps it on his right hand's bare palm, and if doesn't break.

good enough.

then he slaps his inner wrist, a crack echoing in the room that makes the students jolt.] The bottom line for flogging someone is if it hurts for you in a certain spot, it's likely to hurt for them in that same spot. If you have a higher pain tolerance, and it doesn't hurt for you, then ask.

You should always ask, in any case.

[then he turns to his co-teacher.]

How high is your tolerance?

[breweries]

[ he does not wince when the crop strikes on skin, and he answers his co-teacher casually, as if they're merely talking about the weather. ]

Middling. I would say a five or six on a scale of ten.

[ so, you know. normal. ]

Should I start stripping in front of everyone, or do we save that for our separate lessons?

[apathie]

Only your top will do.

[then nehan twirls the crop, waiting. he didn't even ask, he just expects it to happen.]

[breweries]

[ just making sure! he did just say "always ask", jeez.

so he closes his eyes and takes his sweet sexy time unbuttoning. it's all part of the show after all. there go his vest and his white shirt, revealing a nice slender build and a curious tattoo in the shape of a stylized lily underneath his left collarbone. ]

[apathie]

[some of the students ogle-- nehan does not. when he has no interest in indulging, he really has no interest in indulging. the beauty of having little to no emotion is that he can look at things objectively. as it is, he only looks over the man to make sure there are no physical issues with him that would make instruction difficult.

then, satisfied with the initial examination, nehan nods.]

Give us your back.

[breweries]

[ not even a raise of a brow? makes one wonder if this man really is suited for tamamo with that impassive look on his face, but shylock follows suit and turns around, raising his arms up and touching each other's elbows while his perky butt juts out a bit.

...wouldn't been easier if there are ropes involved, but as usual they are winging it! so he braces himself -- give him your worst, sir. though not too much for the first smack. ]

[apathie]

[without missing a beat, once the "idiot" has turned his back on his audience, nehan immediately reaches down to grab the man's ass.]

Many people think to strike at the buttocks, and it's a fine start for beginners, both with yourselves and your clients.

It is also safe, because it often has a lot of fat, and is accustomed to dealing with a lot of weight, especially if your client's job involves a lot of sitting. [then his ears twitch as he looks down at the cheek in his hand, and raises an eyebrow.

it's... not that big of an ass. average for a human male, really.]

[breweries]

[ there's a short intake of breath when nehan grabs at his ass, but otherwise he says nothing and ignores the sudden flush on his cheeks. does this guy have nothing to say about his nice butt at all? hello???

he huffs as he shifts in place. this is getting too boring, he's not going to lie. how did this turn into an actual lecture of all things... ]

[apathie]

[nehan doesn't even bother making mention of the man's reactions, because they don't matter, in this moment.

he does let go though, and replaces his hand with the crop, slapping it lightly against the swell of his backside.]

You can go as hard as you want on the backside, it's fine, if your client wants to not be able to sit down for a while. Here, however... [nehan raps the crop higher, in the small of the back, and draws it up the spine.]

The back is your best target. This is where it will truly hurt.

[breweries]

[ he can't help but shiver just the tiniest bit at the crop going up his pine, but that's just it. ]

But of course, you still have to consider your partner's pain tolerance. In this case, I do beg my co-teacher here not to strike me there -- I might not be able to control myself.

[ in truth he just isn't in the mood, though he doubts that they'll go too far in this rather clinical lesson anyway. ]

[apathie]

[one flick of the ear, and nehan notes what the man is saying-- and what he's doing coyly. fine, fine, it looks like his companion has come into this expecting to be experimented on, and nehan is not delivering.

so he nods to the students, and tells them to watch.]

Oh? Seems like you prefer just being spanked on the rear... Or do you?

[and nehan delivers two quick slaps at shylock's ass with his palm, one for each cheek.]

Tell the truth.

[breweries]

[ a surprised intake of breath as nehan just goes for it, and all he can do is let out a chuckle.

so he stands corrected. at least this guy isn't all That boring than shylock had originally thought. ]

Wouldn't you like to know? [ there's a smile in his voice. ] Unless you've been wanting to smack something from the very beginning. I simply cannot blame you for that.

[apathie]

No, it seems like you've just been begging me in silent and not-so-silent ways to hit you during the entire process. Those soft little noises, the huffs of dejection when I wouldn't touch you more...

And yet you just refused to beg.

[nehan grasps the human's chin, and looks up at him with one eyebrow raised. he is, indeed, forcing eye contact.]

Rejoice, I will finally be fulfilling your wish-- it's time for a demonstration.

[breweries]

[ oh, this is funny, because nehan will have to reach a little just to make shylock turn to look at him. regardless, the expression shylock gives the man is unreadable at first before looking beyond his shoulder to the audience. ]

Did you hear that, everyone? My fellow co-teacher assumes that I've been begging with my eyes this entire time.

[ was he, though?

well, no one has to know which one is it. ]

But for the sake of demonstration, I shall do what he says. [ he now sets his gaze on nehan with a smile. ] Shall I drape myself across your lap, then?

[apathie]

[he can play that card, but nehan has his own... observations and opinions.]

You should.

[the erune sits down in an armchair, the very same one his co-teacher lounged in, and rather than crossing his legs, he lets them fall open to better accommodate the man who will eventually be laying on them. it will be physically awkward, given the differences in their heights, but beyond that? nehan is interested in seeing how the man will deal with his limbs dangling.]

[breweries]

[ yeah yeah, keep telling yourself that.

he then splays himself across nehan's lap much like a cat, and... hm. it is bit of awkward with their different heights, but who's to say that short kings can't dominate? no, they've got to be flexible about this. hold on, going to shift himself here and there to make himself comfortable...

there we go, this'll have to do. and now he waits. ]

[apathie]

[he acts like a cat, wriggling and tamping down on the bedding just to make it comfortable for him-- but it's a good thing he doesn't smack nehn's thighs to be... well, something inane, like less firm, or to change position.

nehan huffs throughout the process, waiting until he's done, and then he reaches out to thread fingers into his dark hair... and then tightens his grip.

at the same time, the erune brings the crop down into the small of his back, a swing strike that he makes sure has some strength in it.]

[breweries]

[ a small grunt escapes him despite the rather strong strike, and -- okay, he'll have to be honest, he's not a fond of whips now that it's been used on him. so he shakes his head and: ]

Lower, if you please. And do try using your hand this time.

[apathie]

And there's the truth. [he liked nehan grabbing at his ass, apparently. so the erune takes his time to knead at it after setting the crop aside.]

That's how your clients ask, by the by. [still lecturing, but still, he's doing more demonstration, now.] But, ideally, they should be begging-- don't be satisfied with just a simple please.

[with that, nehan stops kneading to deliver a strong slap right where he was kneading, then squeezes where he's just hit to let the pain continue rather than ebb away.]
