SPARRING

[ if you’ve expressed interest in sparring with Dimitri, he’ll eventually contact you with a date and time in a gym he’d booked with friends. (ooc note. Feel free to handwave having received this message at any point.) Dimitri will be here bright and early, excited to get going. ]


FOOD TRIP.

[ anytime after work hours, if you’re around the Tamamo area, you’ll find Dimitri in a local joint eating ramen by the sidestreets. Feel free to join him. He’s turning down the offer of sake from the waiters, but he’s having a lot of fun eating spicy noodles – because he can’t taste it, but it elevates his temperature enough to know that, well, it’s really spicy. ]

Amazing. I am in love with this dish.


SUBSTORY #2 – CAN’T DOWNLOAD

[ Dimitri has decided to lend his services to the man, which means he has a long-suffering look on his face as he gets yelled at by someone while he escorts it aside. ]

I know what I saw on your screen, and no self-respecting person would conduct research in such a manner under the Goddess’ eyes. Leave.

[ what fucking goddess are you talking about – ]

Enough.

[ Dimitri has also regained his strength – apparently he is now capable of lifting a man over and tossing him out into the gutters. He looks very surprised at this, the man traveling a considerable distance in his strength at throwing him. ] Oh dear. Oh dear.

[ Sparring.

It is Felix's favorite past time. Perhaps it is no surprise that when Dimitri contacts him with a date and time he receives a short message that amounts to:

Some things truly don't change. But, to say that Felix is in a good mood about it is...actually fairly accurate! It has been such a long time since they've crossed weapons. Naturally, he shows up on time, eyes blazing with the competitive and attentive drive he's known for even though the match has not officially begun. ]

Hmph. You've made sure to actually show up. I suppose you were serious after all.

So, you have your weapon ready or should I be expecting something else different?

[ He asks this, and his eyes flicker over the blond quickly to take in his appearance. ]

[ wow, a taunt in his inbox. how charming. he missed it.

no weapons this time around; dimitri tosses him some tape for his knuckles. ]

Let's test our hand-to-hand skills. After all, it's rather popular here.

[ they're gonna beat up each other, it's gonna be great. ]

By the way, did you tell Sylvain we're going to be here?

[ Hand to hand skills, huh...it has been honestly awhile since Felix has worked on that with an actual, worthy opponent. He keeps his hands closer to his sides than a single one nearby his blade, then. ]

Hand-to-hand? Easy enough. But, you'd better have been keeping your skills sharp or will be over sooner than I'd expect.

[ He can't help the taunting, but all the same he lets out a small scoff at the inquiry. Maybe he can shoot a quick message when they're finished up, though... ]

No. What, did you want him to watch me beat you down that badly?

[ Right after he asks that, Felix assumes Dimitri is well prepared enough to start the fight because he's coming at him. Starting them off with a good old fashioned punch, aiming towards the blond prince's face! ]

When have I been lax with anything?

[ dimitri dodges, and then swipes at his feet, retreating just as quickly after the blow. ]

... just in case he gets worried. Or if he wants to join. You never know with him.

[A certain ostentatious-looking someone in dark blue makeup around his eyes pokes his head out from the cafe, just catching the sight of Dimitri getting a home run in throwing guys around.]

[He moves to give a couple of claps.]

Wooow. Don't know if he's getting up from that one.

I'd rather you don't call attention to it, at all. It's not like I intended for him to go that far.

[ but he did intend to be an asshole to him, which, well, in his opinion is warranted. the clapping makes him feel a bit embarrassed at how far he went. ]

Tch. Things can change.

[ Good. The boar prince is evidently not going to make this easy, his movements swift as they ever are. Being in that bureaucratic group hasn't softened him.

He himself nimbly steps around the feet swipe. ]

I know well enough. Keep being concerned with him and you'll lose!

[ He rushes at Dimitri again with a fist once more, this time with the attempted target being towards the blond's stomach. ]

Oh? Why not? Should great strength not be celebrated?

[Because really, that was impressive.]

I think its a nice trait to have. Your enemies should scatter like roaches if you ever approach them.

Substory

[It's good to look at the other businesses around, see if he likes anything they're doing.

What he wasn't expecting was a guy going sailing through the air.]

... Uh.

What did that guy do?

[Nero definitely missed whatever lead up to this, but now he has to wonder about the rules of these establishments.]

[stubboarn]

Let me send you crying back to Sylvain like you were a snot-nosed brat, then. It'd be my pleasure.

[ dimitri meets him with a punch right on his own fist. it hurts the two of them, bone hitting bone, but that's exactly the kind of strike he's looking for: something that would hit true and be painful and make the entire fight worth it.

he aims a kick right over his knee. ]

[stubboarn]

[ dimitri gives a reluctant nod. ]

It has its uses. And definitely here where a certain amount of force is required to maintain order and enforce peace. But I don't like going above and beyond what I need.

[ the guy stands up, bewildered. dimitri breathes a sigh of relief. ]

Well, there you go. He's not badly hurt.

Ah ... nothing that warranted that shortcut. Nevermind him.

[ anyway! ]

He should, however, really be respectful to the other patrons. Hopefully he'll learn.

If he doesn't learn from being tossed like that, I dunno if he'll learn from anything.

I've offered my aid to the owner for a little while, so I'm going to keep an eye out for repeat offenders in the store. I hope not to see him again.

[ dimitri crouches low on the ground to pick up some items that had dropped from the man when he lifted him up. a wallet without any identifiers or bills, and a pack of cigarettes. he puts them away in the mailbox of the business. ]

Do you need a computer?

Aw.

[And a shrug. No lasting violence today! A shame.]

Is it natural? Or something like a magical ability?

[Man, what exactly is a computer? He's gotten used to the phone devices but he hasn't really run into an occasion to see a full computer.]

I'm just happy to be of use to someone.

[ an awkward turn of phrase, but it is true. he enjoys helping people out. ]

No worries, I'll find you a booth you can use.

[ he goes in, and reserves one for him. luckily it's not too busy today, and dimitri is able to find a spot for him. he points to the instructions on the side. ]

That's how you log in. It's quite simple, really.

I think both. Although - [ dimitri frowns as he evaluates himself, and then he says, rather carefully, ] - I have always been strong. It is part of my blood.

I think I have regained a fraction of it, which is why I was surprised. I have grown so used not having it for the longest time that being able to display my strength again is quite surprising.

[He has to wonder if this guy is okay, if he's saying that kind of thing to people... Ultimately he's just a stranger in another faction, but he kind of wants to check in on him.

He follows Dimitri in. Oh this place is so sketchy looking, but he takes his space and logs into the computer.]

[And immediately the browser pops up with porn.

He closes it as fast as he can, but more and more windows pop up.]

H-help. [How does he make this stop??]

[ dimitri narrows his eyes at him. he's pretty sure nobody's touched this computer yet, which means - ]

I see. I didn't know you were that kind of person.

[perfectdistance]

I am not this sort of person. [Embarrassed, flustered, blushing, just barely keeping himself from yelling.] I wanted to know how these things worked.

[stubboarn]

[ well then if you're not the cause, why computer horny. clearly it's not the computer, that'd be silly. this is what happens when two luddites are pitted against technology.

dimitri folds his arms over his chest. ]

Do you need a moment? I'll have to direct you to the restrooms on the second floor. I can't have you making a scene in public. That's what I threw the other gentleman out into the gutters for.

[Sometimes computers get some wild viruses, not that Nero has any idea about how that works. He's a wizard, and not the computer kind.]

No.

[He is trying to close the windows, but they're popping up faster than he imagined they could.]

You know what. Never mind. I'm just. I'm gonna go.

[How does he turn it off???]

Keep dreaming, boar! Once I'm done here, you'll need help picking yourself off the damn ground.

[ It certainly does hurt. But, unlike most who'd probably not like the idea, Felix simply uses the pain to urge himself on more. Even if it's sharper than he anticipated, his expression tightening at the collision. It's going to leave a nasty as hell bruise, yet that's exactly how fights should be. And as far as he's concerned, he is the one who can take what the boar prince dishes out.

That said, he pulls back just out of range of that kick, and instead he's the one who swings his foot in low to try to sweep the prince off his feet—to the floor, to be exact. ]

Substory

[Wow, look at that man fly. Luckily everyone on the street has enough sense to look up and duck out of the way when they see this man get flung from the cafe.

Lalli has some kind of sweet bread in his hand, and he's walking down that same street when Dimitri throws the man out. He stops for half a second so the man goes sailing past him without hitting him, but instead of continuing on his path after he'll actually look over at Dimitri with a raised eyebrow.]
