I. Substory #3 Drifter Grifter

[He looks tiredly at the list of crimes of this grifter and for a moment he wonders if Bradley's out there stealing again? He's probably stealing, but is this specifically Bradley or just some idiot he doesn't have to care about?]

II. City of Rain, before hours
[Now more than Ever Nero's grateful to have his shop. An oasis of calm in the middle of the din of Jigokuchou. Of course, the quiet rule doesn't come into effect until the shop actually opens. Sometimes it is nice to be able to talk to his employees without having to write everything down on paper.

He has been cooking a little earlier than usual, but that might be because of the new hire. Bradley? Just somebody from home. At least it's very normal for Nero not to say much about himself.

[ he says this fondly, reaching for the bottle at the side of the bed as nero turns around, spreading some more of its contents on his palm, then lathering his cock in the substance before positioning himself behind nero. ]

[He thought for once, he would be able to live in the moment. Enjoy the roughness that Bradley was treating him to. But then he asks, and Nero can't give him the answer he's looking for.

He can't say that and be honest. Bradley should've given up on him, but here he is, still here, still holding onto him and Nero doesn't know why he won't cut the line. Why is he so stubborn? There are better people for Bradley than him. There are so many people who haven't betrayed his trust so intensely.

Nero's fingers clench the sheets, tears threatening to escape.]

I'm right here- right here, Brad. [Can he hear it? The way Nero is desperately trying to say "I love you" without saying the right words.]

[ ...well. he didn't think it would be so easy, so he's not disappointed. if anything, he's impressed nero's stubbornly held onto his stupid conviction even while being railed. he knows nero wants him here and he knows nero is his, there's no doubt in his mind at all.

still... he wants to hear it... for once... so whatever trace of doubt lingering in his mind disappears already.

out of frustration, his movements become more relentless. he says nothing else, no warning - nero should have been able to tell how close bradley was by now, anyway. with a few more hard thrusts he feels that familiar pressure at the pit of his stomach, and it's quickly followed by his climax again, a hot stream of cum filling nero even more.

he cranes his neck slightly to kiss his neck, slowly, as a sort of apology for hurting him. ]

[He really can't work out why Bradley is so tender with him. It feels wrong, and yet he wants to drink it up. He wants to hold this moment in his hands forever. He never wants to leave.

He really shouldn't stay.]

Yeah. Don't worry.

[ his hold around him tightens even more. ]

Hah. I'll always worry, dumbass. Because you're mine.

[ if nero won't say it, bradley will. ]

[He squeezes his eyes tight and just lets himself be held. The tears are held back, but it's a near thing.]

[They both have to be aware of their shared history, right. The fact that Nero betrayed him is right there. Who else would it be? Nero was the one who asked him to meet him at that specific place, and never showed up. That was how he got captured at all.]

[Why won't Bradley let him go, Nero wonders as he also can't manage to disentangle their lives. Fate isn't something he believes it, but he doesn't manage to let go, even as much as he thinks he should.

Turned away like this, he smiles bitterly.]

[ he releases one arm from around him, using it to turn nero’s face to the side. it’s not enough to reach him and kiss his lips, but it's good enough to press their faces together. ]

[He doesn't resist at all, allowing Bradley to do as he wishes.]
