I. Substory #3 Drifter Grifter
[He looks tiredly at the list of crimes of this grifter and for a moment he wonders if Bradley's out there stealing again? He's probably stealing, but is this specifically Bradley or just some idiot he doesn't have to care about?]
Okay, so what did this guy look like? Did he even have any information or was he just dining and dashing?
[Are there, for some reason, giant windows in your bathrooms? How is this guy getting out so easily?]
II. City of Rain, before hours
[Now more than Ever Nero's grateful to have his shop. An oasis of calm in the middle of the din of Jigokuchou. Of course, the quiet rule doesn't come into effect until the shop actually opens. Sometimes it is nice to be able to talk to his employees without having to write everything down on paper.
He has been cooking a little earlier than usual, but that might be because of the new hire. Bradley? Just somebody from home. At least it's very normal for Nero not to say much about himself.
He does send out a text to everyone who works there.]
Breakfast on Friday at 10 if you want to come early.
Tell me what you want.

Can you make any request for food?

The restaurant is clean, though not especially large.
Nero doesn't say anything about his quiet rule, only because it's before the official hours.]
You're here early. I can make what I have the ingredients for. What are you thinking of?
no subject
[He's actually quiet for a moment - not because he's noticed there's a quiet rule, suddenly, but he's thinking.]
Eggs and toast. Do the eggs however you please.
no subject
[He'll pull out the eggs and a nice loaf of bread from the oven, probably just finished.]
no subject
[Just. Says that casually. He's moving to take a seat, sweeping his cape behind him.]
no subject
He gives a small hum as confirmation and he cracks the eggs in a pan, waiting for it to go slightly crispy at the edges. Another pan gets a thick slice of bread, toasting it evenly on both sides.
Eggs and toast don't take long to finish, and Moriarty is served his meal. The eggs is crisped at the edge, the yolks are perfectly jammy, and it's placed at the center of the slice of toast.]
no subject
[He picks up a fork to pick at the yolk a little, then the egg, before reaching over to take a bite of the toast. A moment...and then he continues, a little more eager. He's not hungry. He can't feel that. But for a moment, tasting food like this, it's...]
[Moriarty quickly eats the whole thing up, before taking a napkin to daintily wipe his mouth, and he...sits there, for a long moment, before he says, quietly:]
...It's fine.
[Yeah.]
no subject
You ate it pretty quickly. [His cooking is more than just "fine", thank you. His voice doesn't betray any annoyance, just a simple pointing out of a fact.]
no subject
[He has to be proper(tm), after all.]
Kind of weird to just...eat. [His voice cracks a little on his words - he tenses.] I suppose.
no subject
There's a part of him that wants to make sure Moriarty at least enjoys the food he does eat.]
Weird in a good way?
[Would he like to eat more?]
no subject
[And he's pushing forward the plate in Nero's direction, without warning, dark eyes flitting up to stare at him.]
I would like to try it again.
no subject
He makes it the exact same way, motions quick and efficient. It's clear he's used to making this sort of breakfast, and he has no troubles with it.
Again it gets plated and put in front of his customer.]
no subject
[And he's pulling it towards himself again. This time, there's no hesitation. He simply digs in to eat it once more. The taste is still...vivid. Still good. Again, its finished in a moment, again the napkin comes up. He murmurs, quietly.]
Funny how...the simplest things really are...more monumental than they seem.
no subject
They're a reminder of what life is.]
Sounds like you enjoyed your meal. [A little fond.]
no subject
[An almost instant reaction, like he's been caught with his hand in the jar. His ears burn a little.]
no subject
If ya say so.
no subject
[>8I]
Do you have things to drink, too?

no subject
He will make a cup of peach tea.]
no subject
...What do you usually make for your own breakfast?
no subject
[A delicious start to a day.]

How do you like your eggs done?
