[This part of the clinic has remained a comfortable space in a comparatively busy environment. As a unofficial physician from the tumultuous cultural clash of Taishō period Japan she's gratefully taken these instances of repose to catch up on what advances this place has to offer medical-wise. There are usually a few books on medicine and clinical care set before her during these breaks in between consulting with patients and helping around the clinic.

But today is different. Today she holds a small portable mirror in her hand, her brow pulled down in frustration as she stares at her lower lip with intense scrutiny. She's applied a faint lavender lipstick this morning, but if one observes closely they might see two red dots on her bottom lip... almost as if she had tried to pierce her lip? And failed? It certainly doesn't seem like she intended for that to happen, and is actually pretty steamed about it.

Shinobu scowls at the mirror, oblivious to the faces she's currently making.]

Well, it looks like it won't need stitches...

[You'd think if one was running an entire estate dedicated to helping injured warriors heal and rehabilitate one would find themselves completely in their element in a clinic. The truth is she's still getting a hold of her bearings even now and hides it well enough behind a calm smile and a few accommodating words. The type of patients she's used to treating are leagues away from the ones she's been seeing here, and somehow she hasn't figured out yet if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Also those patients weren't youkai, or oni, or any other type of being that wouldn't be considered human. She's learning new things every day.

She particularly likes creating charts for new patients and welcomes you with a kind expression as she steps into one of the patient rooms. Demographics? Allergies? Symptoms?
