[ it felt a bit childish, and ridiculously stupid to find this entire situation as funny as it was— but hizen's reaction is gold. pure fucking comedy that he didn't expect! yet, he was actively harassing this man for weeks now, one meme after another, all without any explanation. nor an answer to hizen's questions; some of him asking "why are you tormenting this cat?" "is it okay?" "WHERE ARE YOU KEEPING ALL THOSE INNOCENT CATS?!!"

it was cruel, and borderline bullying at this point— but there is something endearing about confusing his dear friend. yuuji is smitten by his distress, which explain why he decided to excuse himself and found a secluded corner somewhere within the enma's building; enough privacy so he could scroll through the responses from the network, and-

-just barely muffling the laughter behind his hand. ]

[Between the tedium of office work, it's always a joy for Norimune to see any form of entertainment. As long he got his work done, or smoothly on track (no matter how much it baffle others how he did it-), he occasionally check on his phone. And witness Hizen Tadahiro's post.

And that's why his laughter ("Uhahaha!") might echo lightly within the area he's in, as he walks along and holding his phone in his hand. It's not long until he spot someone in the corner, if they didn't notice him first.

Normally, he'd pass them by. Maybe greet them before going. But this young man looks like he's withholding his laughter.]

Why, hello there. What are you up to in that little corner, kid?

[ it's strange— considering how long they've been in this department together, he never really had a conversation with norimune. nothing more than casual greetings as they passed by each other.

yuuji knew he should straighten up, or act like he was actually doing some work instead of browsing through his phone— but let's just say the mood is right, and he figured his superior wouldn't mind a good laugh. ]

Have you seen Hizen's post?

[ and then he whispered playfully- ]

It was me.

[ he's the criminal who harassed him with memes. ]

[If this young man isn't working (which is incredibly likely, by what he observed), Norimune is willing to be lenient sometimes.]

Oh? The one about meme?

[He waits, blinks... and laughs.]

Uhahaha! So you're responsible for it! Hizen mentioned you, but you're the culprit for this?

[Agitating Hizen to the point of posting? He should feel bad for his comrade, but...]

[ oh man, that laugh— it was almost contagious, and it certainly made yuuji's smile even brighter. he runs his fingers through his hair, huffing a soft chuckle as he humbly accepts the compliment. ah, to be praised for tormenting the innocent— must be the enma's way, huh. ]

I know I might come off as a bully, but I actually really like him. A lot. I just find his reactions kinda amusing, that's all.

[ still oblivious of norimune's history with hizen, so it felt easy to be casual about this. he glanced at his superior, and it finally hit him- ]

I'm actually surprised you found it funny! I always thought you were the serious type ...

As long you don't push too far, you can tease him.

[If Hizen's really upset, he'd do something about it. Norimune can trust in his comrade's judgement. He blinks, before he laughs again.]

Uhahaha! Is that how you see me? Goodness, I'm only serious while working.

[Including the times he get people to do his paperwork.]

Outside of work, I'm just a simple old man who loves to have fun and live simply.

I won’t! I’ve known him for a while now, so I know when to stop.

[ it's still bully behavior, but norimune might be able to notice the warmth behind yuuji’s words, smile, and even body language. he does seem to speak fondly of hizen — it’s nothing more than innocent fun.

and then, his expression changed; eyes a bit wide. ‘old man’? with a hum, he takes a moment to really look at the other, leaning in and getting in his space. ]

... Is being in your 20s considered old now? I don’t get it.

[He smiles, reassured by the answer. It's always good to see Hizen making connections with others, as temporary as it'll be. Having good company makes this place more fun.

And Hizen will have people by his side, in case Norimune's unavailable for any reason.

Norimune blinks at Yuuji's question, before he laughs again. And leans in as well.]

I'm flattered that you think I looked that young. But I'm a lot older than that, kid.

[ ... kid. he remembers a certain someone who referred to him as one for a long time, and he also looked a lot younger than his ‘real’ age— that’s when yuuji narrowed his eyes, totally indulging in a staring competition with norimune.

then, quietly- ]

You’re one of those special ones, huh. The type who looks young but is actually a secret grandfather! Like, 500 years old or something!

[ he points a finger at him, gasping. ]

You’re another sword, right?!

[It's always a joy for him to watch a young soul work their way towards an answer, whether it's right or wrong. Depending on how he answers, Norimune was planning to introduce himself as just a spirit.

Until Yuuji specifically say "sword". He blinks in surprise, until the context sink in relatively soon for him. Hizen told this young man about it. How much? He don't know, but the fact that Yuuji asks if he's "another sword" say plenty. If Hizen say that much, Norimune will respect his comrade's judgement.

He chuckles and smiles, and say just as quietly:]

You're a little off, kid. I'm around 1000 years old!

[Give or take.]

If I say "yes", would you believe me?

[Norimune does have a sheathed sword at his side. Maybe it's true, maybe he's just another swordsman.]
