[ Guns & Roses are popular enough that Goromi is following this commentary. They play the Tokyo Dome in the 90s. Speaking of another artist who plays Tokyo in the 90s: ]

[ All of his characters and his costumes, the theatrics. It's honestly a favorite she's reasonably sure Dante could have guessed if she'd challenged him to. She smiles ruefully, ]

[ For some reason, Dante isn't surprised. Back in the 1980s, David Bowie was the next best thing since slice bread. Even he knows that as rock n' roll aficionado. It just makes sense that the most famous man of the decade would also be well enough known in Japan. Dante can't help but chuckle a little. ]

Oh, so you like you're guys all flashy and glittery?

[ Dante whispers as he scoots closer to Goromi. He blows a kiss at her while trying his best to encapsulate some of David Bowie's legendary charm to sweep this darling woman off her feet. ]

I can be you're "Ziggy Stardust" any day in the week, babe.

[ Many of Bowie's iconic looks were designed by a Japanese man. Their collaborations were big news, and it gave an otherwise Western artist a certain notoriety in Japan. The 70s tour in Japan didn't hurt, and his flashy styles played well as interests transitioned into disco, too. Even a tough yakuza guy could get away with being a Bowie fan, as long as he wasn't too loud about it. Majima had left most of the fawning to Yasuko, his oath brother's younger sister. ]

He dies at th'end, ya know.

[ Ruined by the excesses of fame! ]

[ No notes, the big red coat is as cool as Dante thinks it is, according to fellow idiot. ]

[ He lets out a pensive hum before suddenly giving Goromi a quick peck on the cheek. ]

Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. After all, I'm stronger than your average guy.

[ And deathly allergic to "fame" in general. Despite how much of a ham Dante might be, he prefers his peace and quiet with occasional demon hunting. He's not looking to get famous or become well-renowned. It's creepy enough that Nico is such a big fan of him and he honestly likes Nico. She's a great gal and an even better mechanic. ]

And I better be cause look at the size of those burgers!

[ The food has just arrived! ]

[ She knows how things are in the yokai realms. People disappear all the time, for no reason. So she doesn't take this reassurance too seriously one way or the other. She's content enjoying the time for what it is. She accepts her food in with a smile. It's the kind of meal that will keep Chijoku quiet and warm for a while.

In the human realm, these burgers would be a regular challenge to customers... In the yokai realm, they're a normal serving of food depending on the class of yokai. Some of the oni could eat several. Chijoku could eat this entire restaurant in his full form. Toraguma asked him not to though. Spoilsport. ]

So what was it? Th'first band that got ya real excited?

[ He can think about it while he figures out how to consume this huge thing. She just starts with the fries. ]

[ Man, these burgers are huge. The portion size in Jigoku-cho is typically larger than usual, something that Dante honestly loves. However, this burger is inhumanely big to the point of comedy. Dante is almost certain that the burger itself is bigger than his head. It's with that in mind that makes Dante wonders if he should tackle this gigantic burger in devil form. Thankfully, it's not like Majima has never seen his ugly mug before. ]

My first band? Eh, I think it was---[He pauses in between munches. The fries here are very good.] Red Hot Chili Peppers? I think they were my first band, especially since they were pretty damn popular back then.

[He's quite familiar with plenty of bands but RHCP holds a special place in his heart despite technically being a "Londoner".]

What about you? I know David Bowie was the favorite rockstar but any favorite bands?

Wasn't really on my mind lotta th'time. Just liked whatever's on th'radio. My tastes ain't real refined.

[ Laughter. There's a nugget here, that Majima's chaotic expressiveness comes from a childhood of deprivations. He was too busy fighting for survival, and even relegated the one rockstar that seems to have stood out to him as Yasuko's interest. ]
