01. ) GAMBLING PROBLEM

( That Bakeneko. They're cheating.

Genkei, the Oni in Samatoki's body, sharing the space, speaks up and broadcasts his thoughts to the fellow Shuten. Genkei laughs.

Someone do something. I don't like them.

Samatoki looks over said Bakeneko, and its out they go. Afterwards, he's out smoking a cigarette nearby. )

02. ) TANABATA

( This place can be alright.

But he said that before the beach party turned to hell, too.

He might look a little miserable in his yukata, but as the festival wears on, his mood starts to pick up. )

03. ) WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE

( It's hard to tell where one of them ends and the other begins; Samatoki and Genkei are positively furious and tearing after the vague direction they think the kidnappers head.

Help them, they're hurting and out of their minds. )

[Sasuke is dressed for the occasion and he's walking around, without looking, because his hair covers his face (he's an idiot ok? But he doesn't want anyone to see That Eye) and bumps into Samatoki.

Whoops.]

Sorry.

[Then he looks at the man, and recognizes him.]

You're... Samatoki?

[deathrespect]

( By now his moods are a little lifted, but seeing Sasuke here brings up the memory of the blood rain. Always with the blood rain.

He nods, pressing his lips in a thin line. )

Yeah. Good to see you in better weather, man.

( It's genuine, but he wishes to leave any allusions of their first meeting at simply that: allusions. )

I haven't been to Tanabata in ... a long time.

Same.

[He's answering two statements with one word, nice.]

Have you found anything interesting to do?

( He makes to walk, motioning for Sasuke to follow. )

But I was gonna get a drink, if you wanna join me.

[Sasuke walks behind him and hums.]

I'm not used to drinking, but we can.

[Sheliak was also trying to pursue the kidnappers. Although he was more concerned about catching the enemy he let escape last time then the wellbeing of the girl who was kidnapped. He skid to a stop when he heard a familiar voice scream out.]

Samatoki?

[Sheliak recognized the hurt that echoed through his scream and he closed his eyes with a grimace before turning away from his chase to go find him.]

Samatoki where are you?

[He sounded nearby.]

( Samatoki hears the familiar voice intoning his name, but he barely registers it in the state he's in. Genkei feels like he's bearing down on him, pressure from inside building up so high and fast he has to roar again in his pursuit.

He's running hard but it's not fast enough, claws raking into brick and storefront as he passes buildings.

Then he sees Sheliak but, again, barely registering him. )

[Sheliak froze when he found Samatoki, half mad and blindly chasing after something. For once he was unsure how to handle the situation before him. This wasn't the Samatoki he knew. Was it that creature inside him? Samatoki said he didn't cause trouble!

Anger and concern for the closest thing he had to a friend here fueled his actions and he raced after him. His gaze darted to the damage Samatoki did to anything that got in his away. Approaching him would be dangerous so once he got close enough he shaped the faint mirage around him into a watery whip which he wrapped around Samatoki. Hopefully it would slow him down, but more importantly he wanted to get the Oni's attention. A weak feeling of weightlessness overcame Sheliak as he let go of his human vessel and embraced the faint magic swirling around him. His watery eyes glowed with an inhuman glow as they narrowed into a threatening glare.]
