01. ) WHO'S THE FREAK

//////////////////////////////// SUTOKU TERRITORY | CW: RAW MEAT EATING, BLOOD ////

( Gara can be spotted in a yakiniku in the middle of Sutoku territory, not too far from his own home; he's pointedly not bothering with the grill part, and just eating it raw right off the skewers. Blood drips off of his chin.

He's ... attracting some looks, to say the least. )

02. ) WHAT'S YOUR POISON

//////////////////////////////// TAMAMO TERRITORY | CW: ALCOHOL ////

( There's a bar near his own shop in Tamamo territory, one with colorful signage but a dark interior. Its aesthetic is nice on his eyes, so he stops in a few nights just to sit and draw and drink a little. Ever since the beach episode, he's been curious about ... substances. There's a giant mug of beer in front of him at the bar, half-drunk up, and he's working diligently on his tablet. )

[Honestly? She was just passing through on her way to a karaoke place she liked in Sutoku turf. She liked messing with people's ears with her terrible singing of songs that were infinitely less appropriate than they sounded on the surface. But, as she passed by the shop, she caught sight of a familiar face gorging himself on ...

huh...]

Hey. Ya know, I forgot to ask. You some kind of youkai, cause you definitely eat like some of 'em.

[MANNERS!]

Do I look like a youkai?

( Yes, Gara. He snorts a laugh, shakes his head. )

'm a Handead. Zombie.

( Tearing through another piece of meat. )

Boo.

Ahhhhhh.

[She made an 'oh' sound while sitting down in a chair opposite him without so much as asking his permission to do so. A little laugh and she shook her head. Was he trying to scare her? She just sort of smirked at him.]

So you're like a Jiangshi, only without the hat and a whole lot less hopping. That makes sense. Good thing they serve youkai here. The meat's probably pretty fresh.

[A brief bit of distaste in her features. She wasn't one for raw meat herself after all.]

That usually freak folks out more?

( He swallows and nods. )

Lots'a looks at best. People give me a wide berth.

( Another laugh.

He remembers her, and thinks it over for a moment. )

You said you're some kind'a celestial-like, right?

Yuuuuup. There's a hopping vampire back in Gensokyo. Folks give her a pretty wide berth too. [She laughed.] Well, the humans do. Youkai not so much.

Yeah, and I spend a lot of time around youkai and the like back home. You get kind of used to them getting hungry. Reimu's always having to smack them if they get uppity.

( Grave Wax is newly opened, and for another week yet he's running an opening special on the flash pieces that are hung up on the walls. He's all over the place as its owner, talking with clients, using his position to get information for Sutoku, cleaning up, working on his tablet again, or putting ink and metal into youkai and Lost Souls alike.

02. ) HELP WANTED

( He's constantly looking for new artists, whether they're guests or apprentices or established in tattooing and piercing. Just bring in a portfolio and get ready for the weirdest interview of your life. )

01. ) GOSSIP

//////////////////////////////// TAMAMO TERRITORY / GRAVE WAX ////

( ... Aaaaand again! There's another special! This time it's for face painting and temporary tattoos (which last for a few weeks). He's startlingly patient with the youkai kiddos who want their faces painted, and happy to draw up designs for anyone, whether its temporary or not.

He's happy in general, here, though his abrasive exterior makes it look a little less than that. Gara talks easily and freely here, though there's a bit of an ulterior motive; to trade gossip and information with fellow Sutoku members, and glean information from everyone else. )

02. ) GOSSIP, pt. II

Aye. 'Bout time you stopped in.

( Gara's all grins. Yuri's a weirdly calming presence, if a bit literally from back in the beach episode aftermath.

There's a Kappa just leaving, face all done up in red and glittering gold. He's at a sink, washing off his paintbrushes. )

You here for business or some metal?

03. ) A WORLD WITHOUT LOVE

( Gara's solo performance of a certain song happens to go over pretty well. He does the shorter version, and comes back on stage for an encore after receiving his gifts from Tenkohime.

When he's offstage, there's a sort of serenity and peace on his face and in his posture he hasn't really felt in a long time ... )

04. ) TANABATA

//////////////////////////////// FESTIVAL ////

( The high from the performance and the Stardust hasn't really worn off for Gara, but he's a little ... tense again as the Tanabata celebrations turn to wish-making.

He hovers around the periphery of the crowds writing their wishes, until finally he goes to write his own. If one were to watch, it'd seem as though he was steeling his resolve to make the wish, like he was debating it in the first place.

He writes only a few words.

I wish it'd snow. )

[ Gara's shop has an aesthetic to it never quite seen in Fodlan. Yuri passes the skull decorations and the kappa with the freshly tattooed face, his eyes lingering for a moment longer than is polite before he turns to the artist. ]

Metal. Though I'm always in the business of knowing things. You know how the boss gets about gossip.

( Gara nods. )

Ears, right? Lobes or somethin' flashier?

( Then, with a grin: )

I'll tell ya what I got after I get these done on ya.

( Then he goes to grab piercing supplies; needles, ointment, the one-use marker, gloves. The display of jewelry for said piercings get grabbed, too; there are capture bead rings and barbells in various finishes and sizes. )

Just the lobes. Though I'll let you know if I ever feel adventurous.

[ Who's to say he won't be back for more. Though he does have to think about whether the people who appreciate his face would appreciate it decorated. Yuri looks over the accessories and motions to the capture bead rings. ]
