[ "Don't bother." He had said that, right? Bakugou had absolutely said that and he had 100% meant it. What the blonde doesn't need is Izuku storming over here and getting all up in his business. The idiot has his own personal shit to deal with. Doesn't need to be hanging onto Katsuki's ever single word.

Granted, Katsuki wishes that he could shut the fuck up himself every once and a while. He'll never understand why he opens up and talks to Izuku as freely as he does when he has these moments of self doubt followed by resolute determination... But then why he struggles with day to say shit that shouldn't matter.

Whatever the case he's going to lock his goddamn door. Teach shitty Deku a lesson. ]

[The message and call had been surprising in the first place even if he thinks he understands where Katsuki had been coming from. They went through some traumatic memories from the past and while they did get to talk about Izuku's feelings on that bloody beach they didn't really get to talk about Katsuki's half of it. Izuku had thought that maybe Katsuki hadn't wanted to talk- but the opposite seems to be the truth now that he really sees it. And the fact that they're trying to talk at all? Instead of just repressing things or punching each other? Well... Izuku wants to keep pursuing that part of their friendship. So... When Katsuki had started to withdraw from the conversation altogether without really listening to what Izuku had to say? He just couldn't sit still about it.

He decides he'll brave sneaking through Enma territory. Even with his muted quirks, Izuku is still light on his feet and as fast as ever. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop to avoid the busy streets of the city below. He hops like a rabbit from stone ledge to rooftop only to land on what he thinks is Katsuki's apartment building.

With a very unstable Blackwhip attaching to the ledge Izuku attempts to launch himself off and down to Katsuki's window. It's shaky and Izuku actually clatters against the window with a loud smack and he winces before he slides the window open and hops in...]

Kacchan?!

[ See, he had been locking the door. Really and truly locking it. And he hadn't anticipated that shitty Deku would actually use the window.

So the smack makes him jump and he whirls around. Bakugou is actually racing for the window to try and lock it. Buuuut Izuku is too fast. He's already inside before Katsuki can actually do anything about it. ]

I said not to bother!?

[If Katsuki tries to lock Izuku out there will be a slight struggle of Izuku grappling with it as he jumps in. He'll be on the immediate offensive for any punches from Katsuki but at least he doesn't have to worry about a full power explosion right now.]

[Katsuki telling him not to shout is a little ironic but it does have Izuku let go of Katsuki and calm down enough to take a step back. He frowns...]

[Izuku tries very hard to school the way his cheeks threaten to get too warm. He knows he focuses on Katsuki a lot. There are a lot of good things he has to say about him. Katsuki's never pointed it out this straight to his face before.]

[ Katsuki stands there, hands on his hips. No, they aren't talking about other people. They are talking about Katsuki. Izuku had asked him why he thinks the opposite. The blonde is trying to explain that.

Keep up, Izuku. If I see and hear you always going on about every body's positive traits, why would I think that I'm an exception? It would just prove the fact that you just don't see shit the way that I do.

... When everyone was coming to get me after I left U.A. I didn't want to listen to any of them. That's why I fought them when everyone tried to take me back. But I could listen to you. It was you and your apology that finally got me to let go of all the thoughts I couldn't get out of my head.

Because you meant what you said. You're honest, and you want to be something better. That means I won't stand around while you're being hard on yourself for anything anymore. Just like you didn't let me keep running myself into the ground.

[ Some of this he has figured out. Other parts are new. Then there are things that Izuku says that are different than how he had phrased it before. And it's the phrasing that matters. The comparison. It clicks now.

Really, truly clicks. Katsuki is shocked by it. Stunned. And the teen that usually can control his expressions or morph them into something ugly on purpose can't hide that surprise. Because to him it's pretty eye opening to be compared to Izuku running himself into the ground.

Katsuki isn't doing it physically, no. Not like Izuku. But he has been beating himself up. Has been wearing himself down and still pushing. Always pushing. Driven by a drive not so dissimilar to Izuku in the end. ]

[Oh good, he lets out a breath he didn't know he was holding in. He thought for sure that would either go well or earn him some classic Kacchan yelling. But Katsuki really has grown...]

[Well, Katsuki didn't ask for that- Izuku is just also making an effort there too. Since he's still wondering if that's also why Katsuki had fussed in the first place...]
