[she's watching him with an amused expression, clearly not seeing this as anything harmful or worth stopping. there's some joke to be made here about the dancing plague, but it's hard to form it when he just seems happy. so instead she grins, an eyebrow raising.]

If I join you, aren't I forsaking my observational duties, Professor?

[that's not a no, though.]

[With a flourish of his feet-- heel, slide, step-tap-- Mikotoba extends his hand to Emily.]

My dear woman. It'll be much more fun to be an active observer, wouldn't you agree?

[Using his free hand he tips his hat to her.]

[well. she can't really argue with that logic, and chuckling, she takes the extended hand.]

You'll have to teach me a few steps so I can keep up.

[she's a quick learner, though.]

But you already carry yourself like a dancer, it seems. Do you at all, madam?

[He pulls her away from the desk by the hand. It's silly, dancing in the middle of the clinic hallway, but it really only takes a little bit of compulsion from the stardust to do away with the last of what's holding him back from it. He could use a break. So could she.]

If not, tap is remarkably easy to pick up.

I do, but more on the side of basic ballet and ballroom than tap.
