Well, the recognition is faint at best. She'd hardly had the time to speak with him, as stressed as he had been and the heckling crowd not doing a thing to improve matters. For now-- ]
Thank you very much.
[ She settles. And glances down at the yakisoba and what Mikotoba is removing from it. ]
Oh... they've been adding that to a variety of cuisine, haven't they? I was a little wary about trying it myself, so I've chosen to avoid it for the time being.

[He owes her far more than just a seat at the festival, he's already plotting on getting her some small token of thanks for her time when he can.
More importantly, the extra spice to his yakisoba... His mouth (and along with it, his mustache) twist as he glances down at his paper plate of food.]
You were wise to do so. Take a look over there. [He tilts his head to the right, where a kappa clutching a half-eaten plate of the same yakisoba is stumbling around as if drunk, bickering with strangers.] The effects vary, from what I've observed, but this one's incited aggression. Very bizarre, isn't it?

Okumura Haru. I was equally rude for forgetting my manners back then, as well, so I would say that makes us even, Mikotoba-san.
[ And with that settled (in her mind, at least), she peers more closely first at the food, then at the kappa he's pointed out, eyebrows furrowing in both concern and confusion at the unsteady gait and how belligerent he seems to be acting. ]
... How strange. More than a seasoning, as they've been citing, this appears to be more like a drug. But varying effects? Does it have to do with the amount ingested, maybe?
