It's all Yuri can do to raise his dagger and block Felix's strike, using both hands to hold off the sword coming dangerously close to his throat. ]
Bored of me already? Don't be. I'll show you a good time.
[ He pushes off, jumping back to create some distance between them. For all his talk, he's feeling the exertion. Beads of sweat have gathered on his brow and he's down to a measly dagger, but Yuri will resist to the end and give Felix the fight that he so eagerly wanted. ]

Yuri has more or less given indications that he's quite resourceful by now, to put a word to it. ]
Clever. Of course, you're running your mouth as always. But, what other moves will you show me? Assuming that you can.
[ Felix presses forward, despite knowing that the sword has been done away with and his opening wields just a dagger. He has no intentions of underestimating him. So, naturally he is still going to make another swing coming in low, aiming to try to catch him on the other male's right side. ]

[ Good to see Felix finally enjoying himself. Yuri will take that as a sign that his skills haven't dulled. Though he could probably stand to get more practice in, he thinks as he narrowly avoids the strike by jumping back, the edge of Felix's blade tearing through his clothes. Damn, and he liked this outfit, too.
Yuri continues to back away, parrying and even throwing in a few return jabs, but mostly distancing himself from Felix's superior reach... and more subtly, moving in the direction of his fallen sword. ]

[ Felix says, with the smirk still very much apparent!! Yeah, he is absolutely enjoying himself here. He is thinking he should have requested a spar of Yuri before...and very much looks forward to already another potential round, regardless of how this one ends. ]
Think I'm going to allow you to keep running away?
[ The swordsman presses on the offensive, eager to continue his advance on Yuri. His swings remain as calculated as ever, though his current tactic is now to see how much he can try to overwhelm Yuri with said offense. See how long or how much he'll hold up with just a dagger.
He's almost completely forgotten about the stardust right now. ]

[ Yuri continues holding off Felix's blows, each calculated strike met with a calculated parry of his own. His dagger's taking quite the beating and a few strikes make him stumble back, but he's quick to find his footing. Moreover, he's almost to his sword.
Like Felix, Yuri is none too attentive to the prize. He's finding it much more entertaining to play with his opponent. Not to mention if he lets his focus slip, the onslaught would overwhelm him.
Seeing as the stardust is just sitting there, shiny and neglected, there sure is a youkai who has seen it and is now sneakily making a grab for it while the two are occupied. ]
no subject
Get over yourself. You know I don't go easy on anyone.
[ Stardust? What stardust? Felix's focus has narrowed onto the person in front of him, elegantly and skillfully parrying or meeting his blows, despite the fact he has just the dagger. There is the stumble, but the quick recoveries are obvious. ]
How long are you going to be able to keep up?
[ Though his expression is focused, clearly invested, his lips almost curl into another smirk, holding it back just barely as he decides this time to suddenly change tactics, interested in seeing how Yuri responds to it. Indeed, his next plan is to execute a feint, and then go to see if that will allow an opening for him to try knocking the dagger from the other male's hands.
...If the youkai snatches up the stardust, Felix is absolutely not going to be the one to notice it first. ]
no subject
Just long enough.
[ Yuri drops low, fingers closing around the pommel of his sword, and however Felix chooses to engage next, he'll bring his sword up to intercept.
Yeah, that youkai's getting away with the stardust. ]
no subject
Whatever the case, after he plays off the feint, and his upcoming strike is intercepted, he will try to slide a leg into one of the other's in an attempt to get him off-balance. ]
More stubborn than I originally thought.
no subject
Hold on, isn't that...?
[ Felix's leg catches his and sends him off balance. Yuri hits the pavement and... sits there, throwing his head back in amused laughter. ]
no subject
You've got to be—!
[ He sighs, and shakes his head at the stupidity of this. ]
...I can't believe that just happened. I suppose the both of this failed in our mission this time, hm?
[ To think, he has been particularly good about this until now... ]
no subject
You looked like you were enjoying yourself for once. I'll count that as a small victory.
no subject
Not when he very much enjoyed the match, and in the end didn't really care too much about netting the prize as well. ]
...Yeah, alright. It's not like I wasn't, so I'll give you that.
We should've crossed blades well before this. Both of us could benefit, with all of the nonsense going on.
no subject
[ While he'd rather spend his time meddling in things other than sword training, Yuri has to agree that the situation can quickly get out of hand around here. The blood rain had been especially dangerous. ]
It's been one ordeal after another since we arrived. You'd know best, you got a front-row seat to the nonsense. How was it in that tower?
no subject
[ It sure can. In a place like this, the situation can become tenuous in the blink of an eye. Perhaps it is why he is tense most of the time and hasn't done much relaxing...on top of his inability to relax in general.
As for the comment about front row seat to nonsense, he nods, near-smile shifting into something appropriately focused. ]
Hmph. It was hell, no pun intended.
Right when I entered, the inside of it was transformed by the curse to the point where as we went deeper, it was like navigating a cavern submerged in complete darkness. Those inside the building at the time when everything went to hell happened to be trapped in cursed rot until we destroyed the source. Also, there were those men in black, but revealed to be just haniwa puppets...still they got in our way and clearly were being controlled by the enemy.
And then they, or rather that thing, had the nerve to spout out something so vague and stupid like, "They cannot save you." Towards the end.
So, essentially just nonsense from beginning to end.

[ He remarks dryly after listening to Felix's account of events. Some powerful dark magic is afoot, and it's reassuring to know that the highest seat of power in the city can be so easily claimed by it. It makes the gang wars fought on the streets feel small in comparison. ]
'They cannot save you'? Sounds more like a warning than a threat. [ Funny, coming from the entity that had cursed the very people it warned. ] What do you make of it? I'm sure our puppeteer friend wanted more than to play with dolls.
no subject
[ The thing about is, though, for all of Felix's blustering, it is something he has thought about. It shouldn't bother him so, but understanding the true reason behind it can give them more insight into the motivations. Once you know the enemy, defeating them will be far simpler.
At least, that is what he justifies it as. ]
...thinking about that, seeing as even the Enma's tower was brought under the influence of that curse, it makes me wonder if they could have done more damage. But, in the end, that's not what happened.
Hmph, useless speculation without any way to verify, I suppose.
no subject
[ Being on the reactive side is getting old, but it could be worse. Yuri agrees that they have nothing but speculation, but speculation isn't useless. ]
Still, knowing this much is better than nothing. Your team did well to end the curse. [ And he doesn't just praise anyone lightly. ]
no subject
[ Felix states with a tone with no short amount of bite in it. As far as he's concerned, after all of that, the Enma has to know. And he doesn't approve of the idea there can be something hidden about this.
It just pisses him off. These creatures are trying his damned patience. Though, before he gets all up in arms about that, there's a compliment. He still feels irritable about all of it, but he does pridefully raise his chin. ]
I was with a capable team and I suppose a good enough leader. It is only natural that success was a foregone conclusion. And I foresee that I'll claim victory against the fools behind this just as well.
no subject
[ Yuri has to chuckle at the boldness of Felix declaring victory over an enemy who has eluded four faction leaders and demonstrated powers they can't begin to comprehend. Still, that assuredness is refreshing to see. ]
Well, don't keep the fun all to yourself. I have my share of complaints to air the next time you go looking for a rematch.
[ Call him next time. He'd like a stab at the big boss, too. ]
