[ The puppeteer raises a skeleton up from a hole in the earth. It dangles limply on its strings, blood smeared down one side of its face. At the direction of its strings, it begins to dance in slow, sad circles; meandering the same small space over and over again. Sometimes there is music and glittering lights. It is jerked into a more animated tap dance but, when the music recedes, the former aimless circling begins again in limp, twirling motions.
As the skeletons motif comes to its end, it comes to a standstill at the furthest border of its invisible cage. Lit from above, it gazes upwards. The spotlight is abruptly turned bloody red and the dire hue spreads across the stage.
