Who ⬤ Hizen (
harimaya) and Yizhi (
baofeng)
What ⬤ It's a hit.
When ⬤ During the Cursed City event.
Where ⬤ Yizhi's apartment.
Content Warnings ⬤ Violence, injury (potential bone breaking, etc)
(It was bound to eventually and truly, he's impressed that he's been able to go this long without having to do any specific jobs. It's one thing to have a casualty in a skirmish but it's something else to receive specific orders to take care of someone.
Behave during the Daitengu's beach party and deal with the job after. The target didn't have to die but they had to be taught a lesson. He isn't sure if he should be relieved or not that he doesn't have killing orders. On one hand, he dislikes killing (not that anyone would believe him) but on the other, letting a witness live complicates things. Most people don't stay quiet when someone comes for them. He expects the worst to come from this and... he resigns himself to it. It was only a matter of time before the people here found out what he was really like, right? Yeah.
He makes his way through the blood rain, taking advantage of the chaos of the city to sneak into Tamamo territory and find Yizhi's apartment. From there, it's just a matter of getting in. Pick a lock, break a window, use the noise of the rain and the city to naturally hide his presence.
Regardless, there's a stranger in Yizhi's apartment, covered in blood from the rain outside, a hood over his head, a scarf hiding much of his face, and a sword at his side, his hand resting on top of it as he probably blocks a door. )
You're a real pain in the ass, y'know.
(It's not a question. He's stating a fact.)

[Hizen pressing down onto his chest brings a growl into his voice, as his breathing goes a little rough-edged. Or the blood rain is getting to him. Regardless, Yizhi pushes back against the pressure somewhat- though itās not a serious effort to push Hizen off. The token resistance is more of a, okay, Iāve tried to work with you and you are so mean to me, like come on.]
What are you talking about? Lost Souls network across factions all the time, we all go to the same parties. I guess youāre a grouchy Mr. Hitman, and you donāt want to talk to me- fine. I was going to offer some daifuku but I guess you donāt want them,
-Mr. Grouchy Hitman.
[Effectively, Grouchy-Hitman-san. Heās reached a line in the sand where it feels absurd to ask for a maiming again, but there is the sense that heās not backpedaling on what he said earlier.]

(Because he full intends to keep low, stay out of sight, and make it difficult for anyone to find him. He doesn't want to be caught. If he's caught then he failed. If he fails then he isn't useful anymore. He's only useful as long as he can get away with it and not cause more trouble. If he can't be useful, there's no reason for him to even be around anymore. He'll be thrown away. No one will care about him-- it's a cycle of thoughts that play out the worst-case scenario in his head. He doesn't want it. He knows how it feels and he can't feel it again. He doesn't want to.
He barely seems to register what Yizhi is saying. He's so focused on his own desperate thoughts for a moment that by the time he finally tunes back in, Yizhi is offering him daifuku. Or was going to. It doesn't matter. He doesn't want it. He doesn't want his offerings or whatever. He just wants to finish this so he can live his life.)
It's not like I want to do this. I don't wanna do this! Not that you'd believe me.
(But he's shifting his weight, picking himself up in a way to keep Yizhi down still. A knee on his chest, grabbing for one arm... and moving to turn him over. It's quick and forceful. There's nothing gentle about it. He wants Yizhi turned over and he keeps a hold of his arm no matter how awkward the angle might end up being. It's actually... kind of the point to have him at a weird angle, even. It makes it easier to break later.)

[More struggling - though as before, there is no real fervor of desperation in the act- as Hizen suddenly flips him over. At this point, his thoughts are about as meaningful as the red storm outside. It sounds about the same from one second to the next. That Hizen is an unwilling assassin will only occur to him much later, in the span of not even hours but days, and by then even if he becomes curious about Hizenās story the man will be gone like mist. Right now Yizhiās first instinct is a mild contempt at the idea that he would accuse his assassin of being a liar. You really think someone would do that, just break into his house and tell lies? That's what the internet's for!
Letās get this over with, then.]
