[ That is actually shocking to hear given that posters and flyers were strewn throughout the whole of the city; as far as he knew anyway. Or perhaps most promotional art was mostly centered within the Sutoku Alliance's territories? No, that wouldn't make sense from a business point of view, they would want crowds from other factions to come to spend in their domain.

So then...

He could continue to ponder what possibly led his friend to miss the promotional works, or he could enjoy the moment. Ultimately Xingqiu opts to focus on the present; On their hands clasped together, the way their fingers are intertwined, and the warmth of Chongyun's touch.

Guided by Chongyun who had prior experience at this establishment, they make their way to the ticket booth. He doesn't fail to note the gleam of recognition in the cashier's eyes and soon it becomes obvious why she took note of Chongyun. The two had met prior. He opts to remain quiet, yet polite as he gives Kooki the utmost attention but it is truly his friend navigating the conversation. It was best if one of them attempted to take in details. It would appear this is the girl that gave Chongyun the information on the supposedly nefarious Kandi. Well, he doesn't condone Kandi's actions but he wouldn't go as far as refer to that young woman as the spawn of evil either.

After listening to the two converse it was unfortunate that the ticket shortage never came up in conversation. Now that is something he truly would have wanted to investigate rather than teen romances and betrayals. However, he is pleased that for all their trouble they would be able to get some snacks. His monetary situation isn't the best in hell so inevitably he feels some guilt in allowing his friend to treat him.

It leaves him wondering if Chongyun ever felt the same back in Liyue.

When they eventually drop in their seats, he does reach over to get a sip of the soda Chongyun bought. He had noted from the start there was a strong female presence among the crowd which made sense given it was mostly consisting of young women. Girls clutching posters, chatting and ever arguing amongst themselves, a strange group... ]

You just noticed? Even at the concession stand, there were mostly young ladies there.

[ Reaching for the pretzel he breaks off a piece before he holds it close to Chongyun's lips. ]
