May 2022 Mini Event

MAIN NAVIGATION
As the Haniwa continue to pop up in the city and the turf war rages on, life goes on in the city.
1. SHUTEN CLAN
Remember the Isonade? Yeah, those guys. The surly shark-dudes who were no doubt involved in some black market smuggling along the banks of the Sanzu. They were too tough to fight off in order to figure out what they were up to, last time.
Well, Toraguma has caught wind of them now. Despite the ongoing turf war, he’s not about to lose out on an opportunity here! He wants his Shuten Clan operatives to scour the river looking for these guys. They will be a lot harder to find without the rabbits’ help, though. If you find them, you are to “inform them” that the Shuten Clan will be taking over their operation. If they have problems with that, well… you know what to do.
Don’t forget that they’re quite strong and that they aren’t too keen on giving up the information on their supply line without a fight. You’ll need to use teamwork to get what you need out of them.
Should you manage your way to their warehouse, you’ll find a fresh shipment of their products: specialized herbs, mineral-rich clay, and rarefied ore. None of these products can be found in the city naturally. The Isonade won’t dare name their primary buyer but they will let slip that all of this is being smuggled into the city from the outer Wastelands.
The Shuten Clan will demand their cut out of this operation, but you may get the impression that this is only one small piece of a much larger shadow creeping over the city…

2. SUTOKU ALLIANCE
The death and subsequent “rebirth” of the Daitengu has caused a considerable amount of chaos. Many of the subsidiary tribes have struggled under the weight of uncertainty during this debacle. The Daitengu has decided that an apology tour is owed. It’s good for the sake of the Alliance, after all.
Oh, but they’re not going to be doing it themselves. You, the Sutoku Lost Souls, will be fully responsible for it. ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა
Sutoku Souls are tasked with going to various businesses and tribe centers with an offering of gifts and deference to any and every group within the Alliance who will agree to meet with you. The gifts have been provided by the Daitengu, and are mainly snacks and coupons. Which will not be enough to please everyone. Some clans will demand more and some, in their rage, will try to take their anger out on you. You are an (lowly) ambassador right now, better to turn the other cheek.
This all boils down to be less of an apology tour and more of a bribe tour. What the Daitengu has provided won’t cover everything and you’re going to have to go out of pocket to truly placate the other clans. If you don’t have enough cash on hand, you may be asked to do various unpaid tasks and labors: washing dishes, scrubbing floors, cleaning windows, taking out the trash, serving kids’ birthday parties; any amount of the lowest work you can imagine.
It’s rough! But somebody’s gotta do it
3. DEPARTMENT OF THE ENMA
The chaos of the Night Parade has caused a resurgence of unaffiliated gangs popping up around Jigokucho. They can usually be found identifying themselves through the use of basic colors and mascots. They are made up almost entirely of violent youths with uncertain futures, who are lashing out at an uncaring world. The antics of the Daitengu, the accusations against the Enma, and the squabbling between Shuten and Tamamo is not inspiring their confidence nor loyalty.
In addition to this problem, the retrieval of the Haniwa is going poorly. Most residents are too uncomfortable to even touch the statues and their appearances don’t seem to be slowing down. There are too many for the Department to collect.
With an abundance of cursed objects in town, the petty gangs have decided this is an ample resource for them. They are using the Haniwa to harass the general public and against one another. They have weaponized the excess Haniwa and are using them as “curse bombs”, hurling them at both each other and the residents they want to intimidate. It’s getting nasty.
It’s the Department’s job to keep the Haniwa figures from falling into the wrong hands and to keep some semblance of order. The official orders from the Office of the Enma are directing all hands to converge against the youth gangs. Use any force necessary and retrieve those figurines.
4. TAMAMO CLAN
How inconvenient! In addition to the complications of the turf war, an extremely important time of the year has arrived for the Tamamo Clan.
It is time for the yearly visit of one of the clan’s greatest benefactors: the Tennin. These Celestial Immortals descend from the Heavenly Realms to spend time (and incredible amounts of money) in Hell’s Playground, Jigokucho. Hell simply offers the sort of delights you just can’t get in Heaven. Due to Tenkohime’s connections with them, the Celestials have had her host them for several years in a row now. She emphasizes how incredibly important it is to keep them happy.
The Celestials want entertainment and delights of every variety. It’s up to the Tamamo Clan’s Lost Souls to entertain them. Your entertainments can take many forms: keeping the Celestials company, putting on a performance, showing off your cooking and skills, tea ceremonies, and other exhibitions. Should you choose the carnal and kinky route for entertainments, know that you won’t be laying down with any Celestials themselves. Oh, no no no, they’re Heavenly, after all! This is still performance, so you may need a partner to help you out.
Keep in mind that the legends are true! The Celestials are deeply deeply fond of peaches. Both literal and metaphorical. 🍑
The Celestials love to chat and gossip, so keeping them entertained is also an excellent way to hear some interesting information. Tamamo artisans will likely learn that many Celestials openly trade with Tenkohime. In fact, the aphrodisiac goods that the Tamamos so famously deal in come, in large part, from the Celestials. Tamamo isn’t the only clan they do business with either. They also have connections within the Sutoku Alliance and are the land owners of several Alliance properties. They are considered one of the primary sources of capital in the real estate market.
Why would the Celestials want properties in a world they literally can’t live in? Doesn’t that just reek of capitalism.
5. TURF WAR (ALL FACTIONS)
The turf war between the Shuten and Tamamo clans is at a simmer right now. Which doesn’t mean that it’s over – not even close. Minor magical traps, similar to those found in the sewer, have been found in Shuten territory. Frustrated Shuten enforcers have been taking out their anger on anyone that so much as looks at them funny. Bars in both districts are regularly getting smashed up. Knife fights are breaking out in the streets. Cars known to belong to members of both clans turn up with slashed tires. There’s even rumors of hits being taken out on higher ranking members.
Watch your step if you’re out and about in either territory. Faction affiliation doesn’t matter when tensions are running high. What’s more, rumors are flying all over about which of the two warring clans is going to be the one to escalate the violence further.
Will tensions boil over at any moment? At what point does the Department of the Enma have to step in? Why haven’t they already?
It’s all getting too much to handle…
6. CURSED OBJECTS (ALL FACTIONS)
The presence of the Haniwa is having increasingly frightening effects. There are whispers about blood coming out of the walls and the floors in apartments, about black ooze pouring from faucets and coming up from storm drains. There are even whispers of terrible household hauntings.
These aren’t just rumors though. Bars are having to close early due to the presence of wailing ghosts inhabiting the toilet or blood pouring from the taps. People run screaming out of alleyways pursued by ghostly hands.
These curses and hauntings seem to be fairly localized; kept to one building or one block at a time. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be much rhyme or reason as to when these accursed sightings will take effect.
Be careful out there! Who knows what could happen with so much terrible energy running rampant.

While they get settled in, a waitress shuffles after to eagerly take drink orders, hoping for lofty tips from the wealthy visitors. Ydris doesn't mind, if it keeps them distracted a bit while they get set up. Addressing Azem,]
I'll explain as I go along, it's a very involved process and I'll need your enthusiastic participation. By that, I mean there is a reliance on honesty involved that is of utmost importance to the ritual.
For my people, that's apart of the challenge. I don't think you'll struggle. [Azem doesn't seem so (figuratively) wound up and repressed as most Springtide are. This will likely be a simply curiosity, somewhat robbed of it's intimacy without the cultural upbringing that's usually attached. All the better, probably, since this is meant to entertain and impress]
If you will, please dress down to your comfort. Nude is fine, if you wish, but some clothing usually adds to the appeal. You will need a pair of gloves, there seems to be some in here, though... [they give a look at the gloves provided- a variety of black and red latex in various lengths] ... I have never seen that manner of fabric before.
no subject
They do what they can to help get things set up until Ydris begins talking. ]
No, I don't think I'll have much trouble with enthusiastic participation.
[ Azem ponders over the dress down to their comfort instruction. They are more than comfortable being nude but if clothing adds to the appeal then they leave it at their underwear. Something one of the girls had picked out for them, lacey, somewhat sheer, and very red. They're a little tight now with the change to a masculine form, but not to the point in which Azem sees a need to remove them.
Though that will likely change. ]
Gloves? Why for? [ They pick up a pair, crinkling up their nose at the way the latex feels and squeaks. It'd looked good on others, tight fitted and hugging every curve. A nice shine to it as well. It really attracted one's attention. But holding the gloves in hand Azem finds they aren't too fond of how they feel and expect they'd feel quite stifling to wear. ]
Perhaps I could turn them into some other fabric. I'd just need to remember to turn them back after.
no subject
[they reach for Azem's hands with their own illusionary ones. Even though they are just that, an illusion, Ydris still always seemed to include gloves with a look. The only time they didn't was... well, getting bared hands on people.
Let's be honestly, Azem's seen that demonstrated the most already.]
Merely folklore, but there is a belief that one's soul is held within their hands. Revealing them is more intimate than any other place. [oh, they're holding Azem's hands aren't they, that feels a bit too reverent for this time and place. They give a little, dismissive pat before letting them go, watching for them to change that fabric around with their magic. Ydris is curious, they haven't seen that before. Sounds immensely useful!]
no subject
Much like my people and our masks, though it's less about covering one's soul and more about covering one's individuality. Though I have heard some believe the soul is in one's eyes.
[ Azem chuckles, cheeks feeling a little hot as they focus on the gloves. This might be one of the few times they had their mask to hide their expression behind.
Normally they'd simply create a new pair by weaving the aether around their arms to produce a comfortable pair for themself. But this place isn't like home, it isn't abundant in aether. So the best Azem can do is pull from their own pool and transform the latex into a comfortable fabric. Which they do, much like their transformation it's not particularly flashy. Once done they slip the nearly elbow length gloves on. ]
There we go.
no subject
Let's begin the show.
[Leading Azem to the simple seat, they are guided to sit forward facing the crowd. Azem's legs can hang comfortably over the front edge of the cushion and Ydris puts a hand on their back to straighten posture. Seeing as there wasn't anything to really lean back on with just the perch of a display chair, it only makes sense.
Ydris takes two ropes, one in their hands attached to their body and the other with their floating hands, holding in demonstration]
This art is an based on trust and patience. For a Springtide, the latter is a virtue and the former is a necessity. Trust is required to survive, even if it does not come easily to most. [They tie a delicate knot at the center of both ropes, something similar to a Celtic knot, if clearly not the precise same pattern]
So, we start at the soul, where virtue and trust rest. One in the palm of each hand. [they do just that, having Azem reach forward and take each center point in their gloved palms, wrinkling the fabric of gloves. Ydris does not smooth them out, beginning to intricately braid each side into a trail of shibari-esque rope work. They bind the wrists, but not across to one another, though that could certainly be done. Instead, they leave the strands on each side dangling. They'll get back to that part later.
Ydris' focus turns back to Azem, leveling their gaze with careful and conscientious attention]
I'll ask you four times for your permission to go on. Your honesty is required, yes or no. Saying yes every time is not the goal, the goal is be true to yourself. [a pause, a nod of their head in deference to the answer]
Shall I continue?
no subject
Under normal circumstances, Azem might choose to make things a tad bit more difficult for Ydris. Be a bit wiggly and a nuisance as they do ever so enjoy causing a tiny bit of frustration. But between their curiosity and the fact that this is a show for their guests they don't want to cause too many problems.
So they sit up straight and let Ydris do as they need while explaining everything to their guests. It isn't until they turn back to Azem that they wiggle a little and let the stoic expression turn to a smile. ]
Yes, I would ever so much enjoy it if you continue.
no subject
Perhaps, after this, Azem will want to try that version of this ritual. Where they can be so bratty and Ydris will enjoy more genuinely and less performatively stern.]
The back is next, each point on the spine a different flaw of character. When binding someone, we accept all aspects of them. [They offer a hand to Azem to stand and turn around. Their back needs to be on display and if Azem wants to pop their posture some and perk their backside to their guests, well... Ydris won't oppose. Their hands get busy working braids around their sides, interlocking cross Azem's front and back, crisscrossing between bone down her spine, creating a web of rope. Ydris does not list each "flaw" of character, seeing it as tedious over explanation that would just bore the Celestials when what they're truly interested in is the body and skill on display.
The rope work concludes at their hips, left against to dangle at each side like garters without stockings, not yet tied off. The rest Azem will feel is firm, like being held onto by an impossible number of grasping hands. Not too tight, not cutting anything off, but hugging so much skin. There's so many paths created from the various overlaps that it feels nearly like wearing clothing, even if the gaps between are far too revealing of bare skin to ever be.
When turned around, the Celestials marvel at the design created at the front which they didn't get to see being made, shaping and framing the body on display elegantly and lewdly at once.
They complete this stage and level their gaze once more to Azem's]
Shall I continue?
no subject
They find they enjoy the way the ropes feel around them. Tight, somewhat comforting, and arousing. They almost regret keeping the panties on now as they've grown even tighter than they were before. While Azem's breath is shallower than before thanks to the rope's constriction it comes more quickly, clearly giving away how the ropework is affecting them.
They do squirm and pop their posture some to show off and perhaps entice Ydris some.
While Azem has never felt self-conscious about their body or much of anything before, they certainly feel it now with the Celestial's eyes on them. If only because of the state they've found themself in. Their response isn't as quick as they look back at Ydris through heavily lidded eyes. Taking a moment to catch their breath before nodding. ]
Yes.
no subject
The arousal is also where many Springtide balk, not wanting to admit their desires. There's no shame in saying no, in getting untied, leaving the ritual where it was. It is complete at any stage one ends it, there is no cutting it too short.]
You're doing well. Your legs are next, so stand with them spread slightly and relax. No locked knees, you may need to bend them soon.
[they do so first, sinking to the floor with new ropes to start at the ankles and move upward. All throughout this fingers slide and glance over skin before rope falls into place, hugging it. Each leg gets done up in diamonds and knots, leaving room for the knees to bend, not linking the two parts together. No, it's better to leave them room to spread open, because arousal only gets more obvious as Ydris rises to that level. They tie off each side to the threads left dangling at the hips, completing the connection of legs and body. There is just enough room to give to do as Ydris asks next.]
Answer with action, not words. If I should continue, rest down on your knees, calves beneath your thighs. [open legged or not, either work, this is a yes or no that relies on communicating with the body and not the tongue.]
no subject
Azem does as told, standing with their legs apart and relaxed so that Ydris can continue the ropework. Though they find it difficult to remain still when their fingers occasionally brush against the skin of their legs. A shiver runs through them, legs shaking a little as their desire mounts.
While they find it difficult to take their eyes off of Ydris as they work, they do chance a glance at their guests. The Celestials are watching intently. Their eyes rake over Azem's form taking in the ropework as well as Azem's arousal. ]
Ah... [ Azem offers softly before shifting from one foot to another. It almost seems as if they're hesitating when in truth they're trying to pull themself together enough to kneel.
When they finally do they slowly sink to their knees and rest as they've been told with their legs apart. It feels a little less restricting on certain bits that way. ]
no subject
A reminder,]
That was the third ask to continue, there is just one more. [they go on with their task. It's shorter this time, much shorter, but that makes it more of a jolt to the senses. There is so much time to sit with one's own thoughts and feelings in the previous steps. This was only a few motions, a looping of rope around rope. A line is strung from one ankle, through the knot which rest at the end of Azem's tailbone, to the other ankle. With a pull, it is locked in taut, not straining or bending their body in any way, but holding them strictly in place without slack.
There was no longer room to squirm, legs and hips all held still. The most to be done was flexing muscles beneath lines of rope. Above hips was still free, but Ydris takes to the still loose ties at Azem's wrists. The first thing left undone is the last thing to do. The implication is that like their lowerhalf currently, binding the hands in with the chest will fully lock them in place within the ropes hold.
Ydris holds the remaining loose strands in one hand, the other touches one fingertip to Azem's chin and guides their vision to meet again.
They don't ask with words this time. They need the final yes or no from Azem without their needing to say it]
no subject
Being reminded how many times Ydris has asked Azem if they want to continue is mete with a low breathy chuckle. They'd lost count at this point, far more focused on all that Ydris has been doing to them. It's a reminder of how much more enjoyable this would be if there were a few fewer people in the room.
Having the inability to wiggle their lower body, something they do attempt as if testing the bindings, taken from this is novel. The whole experience is, really. Azem's never been so restricted before and it feels good, somehow comfortable and freeing despite their inability to move. And for someone who values their freedom so much, it also feels a little strange.
Ydris might pick up on the slight conflict there, a bit of confusion at how all of this had made Azem feel. But they aren't ready to stop, they want to see this through to the end.
They blink at Ydris when their attention is drawn fully back to them. It takes a moment for Azem to realize that the fourth question is being left unspoken. Once the realization hits them they nod, their voice husky. ] Yes.
no subject
That needs to be far from their mind a while longer, though. They don't break them attention from Azem because they can finish the task without looking to it. The last two ends are pulled to the chest, crossed over the heart at the wrists, and bound together. There is some bit of wiggle room, largely in the shoulders and neck, but it feels ill advised, it feels like pulling away from an embrace. The ropes encourage stillness and acceptance and, yes, trust in the person who tied it all.
Ydris caresses their face one more time before their hands retreat. Their absence is scarcely notable, when the ropes have an indistinguishable quality of lingering touch, lingering seemingly everywhere. They are memory of touch, but held in place, drawn like a map in ink. The dragon stands again, looking down with as confident and pleased a smile as ever]
Beautiful. You're a fine work of art, Azem.
As you can all see, [they finally pull their attention to address the Celestials directly] such unique crafts can surely be found among each and every Lost Soul. It's only a matter of encouraging such beauty to be shared.
[then back to Azem, generously and sincerely]
I can begin unraveling you whenever you please, but no more than 5 minutes should pass before I start to. It can be straining, otherwise, which is not the purpose. Do you mind if they take a closer look in that time?
no subject
Their gaze remains wholly focused on Ydris as they finish off what they started. Azem does move a bit, flexing and testing the ropes as they have every time Ydris finished a section. This time the tightness doesn't feel quite as nice so they simply relax as much as the ropes allow.
They sigh in response to the touch. They can't remember ever wanting to be touched so much as they do right now. Even if they're bound by the ropes, feeling as if they're in a full-body hug, it's not quite enough.
The bit of praise is met with a smile, their eyes remaining fixed on Ydris even as they turn their attention to the Celestials. ]
I don't mind.
no subject
A quick look, appreciate such art up close. No touching, of course. [and Ydris is there to enforce that, though the Celestial's don't overstep any boundaries, respectful as their heavenly station suggests. Just a short, curious admiration from them before Ydris is gesturing them onward.
Funny, how long a mere three minutes might feel in such a situation. Such a small amount of time, but it requires such patience to linger in]
If you'd all please, go out to the bar to have a drink. I'll meet back with you tonight to show my progress on the application I promised. [they shake Ydris hand and thank Azem for the demonstration before leaving, chattering and whispering. That made just the impression Ydris hoped. When the door closes, Ydris locks it behind them, returning to kneel in front of Azem. Their hand outstretches and hooks beneath Azem's chin, lifting it to meet their gaze again]
Now... I lied, somewhat. For a human, they may need to be freed right away, as was stated. For the druids, with their healing magic, they can stay in such a state for many hours. It's considered meditative... that might apply to you, I realize, if your healing works on yourself. Do you want to remain a while longer in my care?
[they properly cleared the room out, because the tying up might make for a beautiful display, but the unraveling of it all was more personal. It's a kind of aftercare and that's not to be made a show of.
But Azem might want a little more excitement before that, given all that work has worked them up. If they're desperate for another kind of release before being... released from such bondage, Ydris is sure to oblige.]
no subject
As the Celestials look Ydris' handiwork over, Azem lets their gaze fall away with an almost glazed-over look to them. The later mention of this being meditative makes sense once said. Because Azem finds their mind slipping into a strangely calm place. Their concern over all that is going on back home, that taking up this contract and coming to this place might be a mistake, the recent losses... All if it seems far away in the moment.
They don't notice Ydris ushering the Celestials out. They don't realize they're alone with the dragon until they feel their hand under their chin and are speaking to them.
Azem blinks a couple of times as they return to the moment. They only parse part of what Ydris has to say. ]
Ah... I would need my hands free to heal, but I wouldn't mind staying.
no subject
Do you want to get off, while still bound? You've been aroused for some time, now. [another hand loops beneath the connection point of hips to a leg, so near to the strained fabric of their panties,]
Perhaps you've had enough-?
no subject
They open their mouth to respond only to close it again, swallowing as Ydris' other hand settles on their hip. After a moment, they try speaking again though their tone is a bit strained. ]
I would like to try while bound.
no subject
Given Ydris' sense of enjoyment is absorbed from their partner, Azem's wound up state floods them. It's a bit much, but it does prove they did a good job working their partner up. Perhaps too good a job, they turn their head away to puff out some smoke.]
no subject
A breathy chuckle escapes them when they take in Ydris' reaction. ] I do... ah, ever so enjoy that reaction.
no subject
[and, thus, them some relief, because immediately tapping into that state of build up is a bit much. Ydris likes it, of course, their body might not react to arousal, but their magic allows them to feel what their partner is feeling. They did a good job, they can be proud- and they can feel right in paying that... handiwork... off-
Fingers slips beneath fabric and pull it aside, allowing Azem's cock to strain itself free. A short bob into the cool, open air before Ydris wraps their hand around, stroking the length with a slow, firm grasp.]
no subject
[ And that's probably the last comprehensive conversation that will come from Azem until after they're done. Because once their cock is released to the cool air it's all they can think about. Their thankful that Ydris doesn't leave them like that for long, taking them in hand and stroking them. Drawing a low moan from the god-like being.
They know what to expect of Ydris now, how methodical they are. Though it might not matter with how worked Azem is. They feel they might not hold out for too long. ]
no subject
It must be frustrating, not being able to... move much. Or seek out what you want. I'll take care of you, though. You can trust that. [this is, after all, a trusting exercise. It's the key element of eroticism, placing one's self so much at the mercy of a partner. No wonder Ydris likes it, themself, being a god that desires so much to be relied on]
no subject
There is little else Azem can do aside from moan, desperate to squirm but only able to flex against their bindings. Their cock throbbing in Ydris' grip as they draw ever closer to release.
There's an attempt to respond to Ydris' words, taunts really, but it's just a gasp and a groan.
Azem doesn't last much longer after that. Their form stiffens, straining harder at the ropes as they're finally pushed over the edge. A moan, somewhat strangled, as they finally find the release they've desired since the ropes first started to wind tightly around their form. ]
no subject
A sighing moment follows, allowing that release to get settled in. Ydris tips their head after, giving Azem a slow, relaxed kiss to their lips, breathing in their taste in such afterglow. Breaking that kiss, they can't... think of what to say.
Nothing really needs to be said, it was good, they have a good time together and that's all it needs to be. Their hands float to the center most knot, at Azem's chest, and undo the knot there. The ropes evenly glide loose, allowing hands free from more. The rest can be done after that, the undoing of the braidwork just as meticulous as the doing up of it. Patience, after all, is the purpose of this. Rushing the escape it would spoil the mood... which rests somewhere in the realm of dedicated affection, Ydris still showing utmost care for the process at hand.]
