We share a symbiotic relationship. I am a vessel to his form, and he grants me his strength. My own physical ability is my own, but Dark Shadow's is stronger than mine. I can stand on my own just fine, but it is often through his assistance I am able to do most of my hero work. As such, when he is depleted of energy, I find myself at a disadvantage. It is why I tailored my hero persona in such a way to grant him the greatest advantage possible.

[He doesn't mind sharing some information about himself and Dark Shadow. They're supposed to be allies, aren't they? And besides, it wasn't like his Quirk was a secret back home.]

We were capable of plenty of feats of strength back home, so being so weak is surprising. I've noticed several of my other friends's Quirks have suffered similarly.
