[Tamamo Clan members will receive a message asking for a meeting at the Scarlet Lotus, a classy restaurant-and-bar in the heart of Tamamo territory. Injured members can phone in via videocall. Try not to be late, there’s much to discuss.]

[On arrival, members will be shown to a private dining room. You’ll have to pay for your own meal, but their hand-towels are complimentary!]

Musashi is keenly aware she's fighting at half strength with her arm out of commission. She's going to insist that with their members and make-up, meeting the Shuten at force vs force is a losing proposition for them. They should, instead, focus on their wits, and try to trick the Shuten into making mistakes and cutting off their own feet, so to speak.

Huaisang agrees with all of this. He'd also add some points based from his own experience as the leader of similarly aggressive, battle-happy hotheads back in his world.

Okay, just going to make a bullet list of points Huaisang would raise once he relaxed enough around all these strangers to focus and start participating in the discussion. Fanboy here is timid and has been hiding his tails for a decade while working solo, so he'll listen and observe everyone for a while before speaking up himself.

Okay, now here's the bullet list, Apologies for the tl;dr, fanboy has a lot of thoughts going through that noggin of his and a tendency to ramble once he gets going so imagine him doing this while happily enjoying some decent wine and food in intermissions, lol.

- At this time, he believes that Toraguma's bluster and hostility toward their clan might be an indication that he is covering up secret insecurity. It seems important to him to project strength over foxes. Does he secretly find them threatening? How curious... Of course, he'd also point out that frightened animals can still be very dangerous and maul you to death if you don't proceed with caution.

- He would stress that they are the underdogs in this situation. Lost Souls have hard limits that they have to work within but even big game can be taken down with a smart and solid strategy. Foxes are both the hunter and the hunted, does the Shuten Clan have sufficient insight into the thought processes of prey? He doesn't think so and that lack of comprehension is a weakness that can be used against them. The Shuten have superior strength but they probably have limited imagination. The more ideas that fall outside the box Toraguma would comprehend, the less of a defense he'll be able to put up against a full-scale, relentless assault.

- They don't need superior martial strength to defeat the Shuten in this conflict. All they need is superior insight, knowledge, and a solid, focused strategy. The more demoralized the skirmish makes Toraguma, the less he'll be able to direct his followers effectively. Thoroughly humiliating him and crushing his spirit enough to ward off future attack while they themselves are able to regroup for further assaults if they become necessary could be a very effective strategy in this situation.

- He will stress the importance of scouting and reconnaissance on the enemy. What information do they have on Toraguma's weaknesses so far? Other Shuten members? Knowledge of what they are will go a long way to conserving their own limited resources in this war. (Yes, he will totally be referring to all of this as war, he's dramatic and Toraguma insulted him and called him a coward so he's in full "fuck that guy" mode.)

- They should aim to exploit their enemy's weaknesses and make use of their own momentum whenever possible. Why do all the heavy lifting when they can use the Shuten's advance against them? It'll cut down on work and aid in conserving their own resources. Does anyone have connections in Shuten willing to leak them information with a little persuasion? Knowledge of exactly what Toraguma's plans to advance on the Underground are would be incredibly useful...

After listening to all the ideas put forth, he also might be like "why not implement all of them in a coordinated attack and overwhelm the Shuten outright? The more nuisances Toraguma has to deal with, the better. The more plans you have, the greater chances of success you have. A flexible and multi-layered strategy with precision execution can be very handy when going up against opponents like this!

Hello! FYI, I checked in with the mods on whether Tenkohime would give her rookies any magic things after seeing it come up in Musashi's thread with Nie Huaisang: the answer is yes! "Tenkohime will indeed grant permission to use the clan's sorcery tools, assuming any of them know how to use them. This can be things like paper shishigami, combustive gohei, kekkai seals, the like. She will note that they'll only be as effective as the soul making use of them, though."

Whether Musashi uses any is up to you, but I wanted to let you know the option is there- especially since it was your thread that made me ask the question in the first place.
