un: majima Get yer asses up an' come to th'White Koi by 7. It's on Shuten turf, corner of Bunyudomachi. We're meetin'. ![]() [ The bar is almost exclusively Shuten members, most of them wearied with nightly patrols and clashes. There's plenty of muttering and chatter about the recent assassination, with the common complaint being 'fuck I have to get my funeral suit out of storage'. Majima points lost souls into a slightly more secluded room done up in the titular white koi pattern. ] Siddown, who's heard what. [ He is also weary and bruised from some fights, leaning back against the wall with a cigarette and a drink. ] π This is a mingle, sure they got together to talk info but they're Shutens so it's assumed they're going to get drunk, yell, and throw hands. π Lordy please do whatever you want, I'm not the cops. π OOC info collection π Toraguma's orders |

Don't touch me.
(He's prickly, sorry.)
How hard can it be? It's just clothes.
(He can maybe just do this on his own? No, he can't. )
no subject
Here he's just trying to make friends too.
Not that he isn't used to it at this point. He'll just respond with the same blank stare he pretty much gives everyone when this happens.]
Ya do know if I'm gonna be helping you get this suit than touching is gonna happen. We have to get you properly fitted as well as physically show you how to get that tie around your neck.
[Sorry bub, but proper suits ain't "just clothes".]

He opens his mouth to argue back but nothing comes out. It's not like he can really argue against this? If it's going to be Toraguma's orders and it's something expected of the entire clan... Kicking a fuss and making a scene in front of everyone else would just draw more attention to him, too.
Hizen looks away,)
... Fine.
(He gives in.)

Now that's more like it!
[He settles back, properly giving Hizen his space.]
It's formal attire so a lot of it is going to be about presentation. Especially since we're Shuten's new outside members.
Both our clan as well as the others are probably going to be looking at us as a representation of Toraguma.
[Damn. Actually just thinking about it made him antsy. Instinctively reaching into his pockets and pulling out a cigarette to ease the nerves.]
no subject
... They really had to go and die on us, huh...
(Is he........ blaming the Daitengu for this.........)
no subject
[He can't help but chuckle slightly with that. His body language relaxing as he watched the guy complain.]
And considering the group we seemed to have gotten ourselves caught up with, it seems formality is pretty damn important.
Sucks, but I'd rather suffer looking classy over dealing with Toraguma getting pissy at us.

Anyway, he hates the Daitengu now. This is personal.)
... Didn't expect the oni here to be so weird either. (What kind of oni cares about formality! Appearances!) Fine, whatever. I'll figure it out.
(And he just. Stress eats a cracker.)
no subject
[That actually managed to perk his interest. Lifting his gaze to match Hizen's.]
I mean, they ain't any different from most of the other youkai here, right?
no subject
(Like, an actual organized crime gang? Instead of the wild, careless, and honestly mostly foolish oni from stories.)
They're usually wilder and... (His voice trails and he decides to not just say "stupid" and picks another word,) messier in the stories I remember.
... This whole city's a lot more modern than the stories. It's weird.

Like most everyone else Gojyo had run into since he had arrived at Jigoku-Cho, it was super apparent that Hizen seemed to inherently think that being an Oni meant you were also supposed to be a dumbass.
Truthfully Gojyo was starting to feel bad for all the negative stereotyping the poor bastards seemed always to go through.]
'S that so?
[How was it that most people he ran into never seemed to have any tact when talking about youkai?
Well, whatever. Not Gojyo's problem. At least Hizen didn't direct such assumptions somewhere else.]
I take it you never met actual youkai before showing up here?
no subject
Still, it doesn't matter too much, does it? In this world, it's stranger to be human than it is to not be,)
... I'm not human.
no subject
[That only manages to get the blankest and blandest stare back from Gojyo. You're talking to a guy who has scales on his cheeks and fins for ears kiddo. How did you expect him to react?]
You saying you're youkai?
[Because if so, you certainly have a way about talking about your own kind as if you have never seen them before.]
