Who 🍷 shylock and you!
What 🍷 april catchall! mostly festival prompts inside for now.
When 🍷 entire month of april
Where 🍷 hell, baby
Content Warnings 🍷 alcohol and maybe some nsfw things, since he's a tamamo. the rest is tba.

prompts and whatnot will be in the comments! feel free to hit me up via plotting post or PM if you want something more specialized.
also shylock looks something like this, but obv without the fox ears. he'd still be wearing the earrings though, and the bun is a lot more elaborate than his usual.

but her question does give him pause. that's probably something the exorcists have an answer for, but for shylock he'll need to think on this deeply. ]
...No, I suppose not. [ sighs ] Some of them are even more horrid than humans when it comes to being customers. Since the yokai are neither human nor wizard, they have their own set of rules that I cannot fathom -- or lack thereof.
[ for shylock, there has always been two types of people. he tries to be accepting and understanding enough, but it seems that he still has a lot to learn. although doesn't that mean that poor nia has gone through the same thing herself? ]
Well, no matter. Either way, the fireworks display are simply divine. Is this your first time seeing some, Nia?

I guess it's just best to assume there's no rules. It's hell, right?
( the people around here act like the clan leaders get the final say, but not much besides. as far as following the law goes, there's the enma, but... they don't seem to be very popular with the people...
well. she supposes military, or rather police, isn't particularly well-liked anywhere. )
Hmm... not the first time, but it's been a while. ( she looks up at the illuminated sky, a little nostalgic. wonder if everyone home is safe... ) Mostly, explosions back home meant death. Still don't like the sound of 'em.

[ says the person who came from the most chaotic country himself. but it's true, all right?
he turns to look at nia's transfixed expression, then the skies above. ]
I understand. Even fireworks can be deadly if mishandled. [ his voice is rather quiet here, but he does his best in sticking close to nia so that she can hear him. ] They may look and sound terrifying now, but the fact that they come and go in mere seconds makes it all the more important to cherish them. The patterns they make in the skies right now won't be the same ones you'll see next time, and the next.
[ even the mini fireworks murr makes don't look the same every time. ]

but, well, that's neither here nor there. she stares at the sky; at the colorful explosions, and thinks that maybe it's not so bad here, after all.
it's pretty. )
So much effort to make something so fleeting... ( a clawed hand reaches up, as if she meant to grab one; of course, she's nowhere close to the sky, but... ) Don't you think it's a bit of a waste?

Nothing lasts forever. That is a fact of life. But people's feelings don't disappear just as quickly, and I'm positive that you'll remember this moment for a very long time.
[ he doesn't know if someone like nia has a long lifespan like he does, but that much is true for most people from all walks of life. ]
Oh, here's an idea -- I believe these smartphones have these built-in devices called a camera? It would help preserve this moment for much longer.
