[ She laughs cheerfully. ]

Big tattoos like this, you can bet it's a yakuza. [ She motions to the way the tattoo becomes sleeve-like down her arms and thighs. ] Shape like this, outsiders don't get it too often. They know better. Some yakuza got even more coverage than I do, all the way to wrists an' ankles.

[ She turns on her stool to look into Azem's face with amusement. ]

I see. I suppose that is one way to let everyone know someone might be dangerous. [ Though Azem supposes not all crimes would be because the person was dangerous. They've certainly learned that much since arriving here. ]

[ Azem smiles in return before speaking again. ] Do you think the clans will expect us to get marked like this?
