I founded Liyue 3,700 years ago and was its protector and god for much of it. I went by the name of Morax back then, but since retiring I am now the man you see before you, known only as Zhongli. I apologize for not telling you as I...did not want whatever we have together to be disrupted by this knowledge. But it's not fair to keep such a thing from you who has only been open and eager to share their past with me.
