It's just the nature of the job. As for the students... Well. The faculty know how to deal with rich brats who try and cause issues with students who come from that sort of life. You'd be surprised; it's the rich kids who cause more issues than the kids who come from a life of crime. The latter just want a better life, so they shape up after being admitted into the school. We spend a lot of time with the kids to help them adapt and assimilate.
