[After their performance, Nazuna was eager to compliment his stage partner for putting on an incredible show-- only to watch him faint the moment they were out of the spotlight and tucked away back behind the curtains. There wasn't anything he could do to stop it, although he tried. He could hope that at his efforts at least lessened the impact a little when he hit the floor. Checking his breathing and his pulse; there didn't seem to be anything terribly off. So Nazuna had to guess that his nerves must have caught up to him and whatever adrenaline he was getting by on evaporated after the show was over.
There wasn't any real place to let him rest here, so-- he made the decision that it would be best to take him back to his apartment until he recovered. After all, there were still a lot of things he wanted to talk to him about. Carrying him wasn't an option, but one of the staff members was kind enough to agree to let him borrow one of the stage carts.
That's how he ended up rolling Mayoi back to his apartment and-- with effort and determination-- lift and push the taller boy into his bed to rest.
Figuring it would be a while before he got up, Nazuna decided to return the cart right away. Then he could stop somewhere and pick up a few things quick too. After the day he had, he figured Mayoi would probably want something to eat. Between the two tasks, he's probably gone about half an hour before he returns to check on his sleeping-- or perhaps no longer sleeping-- guest.]

[The whole thing was a laughable fever dream. How could any of that be real? As much as he wanted to cling to that denial, trying to figure out where he was currently was shoving a wrench in that. These were not the dorms he was familiar with- this was someone's apartment, for sure. How did he get here...?]
[When Nazuna returns, he will be greeted to a... scene.]
[Mayoi has gotten the cover off the vent in the ceiling of the room he woke up in and has climbed about half way in. Depending on how long he watches, Mayoi will then pull the vent cover back up like he intends to replace it like he was never there.]

[He's not sure if he'll make it, but he's sure Mayoi should at least hear him. If nothing else, his voice had a lot of power to it. Still, he finds himself looking around; mapping out what exactly he'd have to do to climb up there after him if necessary. It wouldn't be easy for him, so he'd still rather avoid that situation if possible.]

[Once Mayoi is up, he stretches a little before crawling up into a sitting position.]

[And then like. Drops to his knees in seiza and puts his head right on the floor.]

[Oh. Oh no. Nazuna shakes his head and slaps his cheeks.]
I-I mean!! It's partially my fault too-- I shouldn't have left you alone in some place you didn't even know!

[Mayoi would have been content to continue going on like that until he simply ran out of air and passed back out, but Nazuna’s sudden shift in voice catches him off guard.]

[It's hard to get a good read on him when he's staring at him like that. But somehow it feels a little embarrassing. He can't tell if Mayoi understood him or not either.]
Let's just start from the beginning. You actually collapsed after our performance. I was pretty worried... I couldn't just leave you there so I asked the staff to let me borrow one of the carts they use for moving equipment to help get you back home. I figured you probably don't have a place of your own yet, so I brought you back to my apartment so you could get some rest. So then I figured I should return the cart-- and pick up some food too in case you were hungry.
[The bag is still lying there on the floor where he dropped it.]

[He is a little distressed over this, but he’s not freaking out this time. He will sit up properly and rub his face. He feels pretty delicate right now, but that is the result of a lot of things, including but not limited to: definitely being hungry.]

[There really isn't any reason to try and sugar coat it. The reality of the situation was pretty serious. So even if it was difficult, he wanted to help Mayoi face it head on.]
But it's relatively spacious. And even though it's in Tamamo's territory-- there's no reason you couldn't stay here if you wanted.

So then, it’s all true. The contract, and the strange assignment I was given. The youkai walking the streets…
[His offer surprises him, though. Mayoi sits up a little straighter, ready to fuss.]
Ah-! But! Wouldn’t that be imposing on Nito-san? Y-You hardly know me…
[As much as his instinct is to immediately tear himself down at the thought of inconveniencing Nazuna, his desire to not be alone is just barely overriding that.]

[Nazuna can see it coming-- he just chuckles and shakes his head.]
Not at all. If I'm honest, it's a bit lonely staying here by myself. If I can help out a friend from home then of course I want to.
[This place has certainly been neglected a bit-- not terribly, but more so because he's kept himself busy and hasn't really spent much time by himself here. He can't argue that he's any good at looking after himself so, having someone else to look out for instead could only improve things, as far as he sees it.]
