oh no that made me a bit sad 🥺

barton isn't sure how he's earned that sort of smile, nor the flirtatious praise - then again, they're just fooling around. his gaze had flicked to nero's mouth as he spoke those syllables, in that tellingly cliché way - but then the hand that caresses his face has his him holding his breath a moment, actually.
