Kawase isn't sure which part exactly had caused Minakami's sharp breath, but it was still interesting. Maybe the news about his own death, or Hanazawa's; he must not have been told about Hanazawa's presence in the capital.
"Sure. He succeeded a few times, too." His smile was almost... tranquil, his head tilting a little as one hand came up to gently hold his jaw... though in the end it looks more like his fingers were brushing against his own neck.
(The truth was, thinking about those fingers tearing and sinking through the skin off his neck still unsettled him in a way he couldn't articulate. It was the sort of thought best to be removed him, though he couldn't really drift farther than he already was, right now.)
