The rest of their casino training is mostly uneventful, and Kazuma excuses himself as soon as they're let go to try and set up. He's bringing his actual sword, but if Haru is as beginner as she says, it would probably be better for her not to use live steel. That much, at least, Kazuma is sure of. It should be simple. It will be simple. Using a sword feels almost as natural to him as breathing, and it shouldn't be difficult to walk that back to teachable basics, shouldn't it? Just to prove it to himself, he tries to refresh his muscle memory while he waits for Haru, going through the motions approximating katas just based on how he feels his body wants to move next. It's... less consistent than he'd like, and he finds himself attempting the same thing in different ways, trying to identify what simply feels correct.
