I wouldn't be so quick to blame laziness. None of us asked to be here, nor did anyone sign up for this particular task. There has to be some sort of motivation to get people to organize an event for a city they don't even know.

[ Kim would not define himself as a patriot in that that usually implies a certain type of person, and that certain type of person wouldn't want Kim in their city. But he does love his home with the sort of quiet fervor of one who never intended to leave. He has no such affection for this place, merely a sense that his life will go more smoothly if he decides to cooperate. He's not underneath the impression that others are - or should be - quite as pragmatic as he is.

Unlike his new acquaintance here, who has bureaucrat written all over him. ]


You don't seem to have any such reservations. What makes you so eager to help?

[ Kim has been diligently helping this entire time as well; if Reim saw him in passing, he would see that he has been an active, organized worker. He's just genuinely curious if this man's reasoning is similar to his own, or if he just feels the need to launch himself into a task because, like the rest of them, he really has nothing better to do. ]
