["Trapped behind your eyes" is not necessarily how Dazai would put it, but neither does he think it's wrong. Eyes or not, there is so much to see... and yet so little to find.
Well... even Dazai found a glimmer of something, at one point. Maybe it's not enough to make life worthwhile, but at least it makes him slightly less desperate to escape it. (In theory. He tries to feel that way.)]
