📲 MAJIMA (GOROMI)

[ Majima has been surprisingly mellow with the local Mr. Libido. Honestly, when he'd been a prisoner in Sotenbori the mostly-naked weirdo was one of the few people he could really talk to about things like desire. Something that had been starved and beaten out of him. It was weird and probably not appropriate in public, but it had been a connection anyway.

So he is being far too indulgent with this guy, which is how he ends up put on the spot: ]

Well, Majima-san, what's your type then?

[ Things have changed a little bit since the last time he was asked this question and his face flushes slighty. ]

I mean...

[ He hedges, trying to get out of it. ]

[ He was the one who sold that fucking watch. Listen. He gave the man money for rent and he comes back with a diamond-encrusted watch? Majima couldn't have rolled his good eye harder or taken that thing to the pawn shop faster to recoup his money. Fuck.

He assumed that was that, but now he's spotted the bling, ]

Uh. Where'd ya pick up a piece like that?

[ Can't this damn thing just go away? ]

[ The Stardust is too tasty a snack for this gluttonous snake to pass up. He asks Majima politely for the use of his body and knows that Majima is enough of a mood to not want to be there. He hands over control readily and disappears into the dark, warm recesses of their inner coils to just be alone.

And the snake jaunts out into town. He knows the address of a certain butcher and has the cash to bring home a dinner for himself and a very special someone.

He is also looking to purchase anyone's already collected Stardust. ]

[ The snake smiles, all fang; a little cold, a little threatening.

When he is not preparing for this very important dinner date, Chijoku is — as always — to be found in the bar later, drinking past the tab he can pay and not really having a care in the world.

Come buy him a drink! When he's sauced he's a little more friendly. Sometimes. ]

[ the link is to an unlisted helltube video entitled 'snake training' and it's making its way around, especially through the shutens.

the contents are a grainy video from the early morning trainings at the arena, darker and quieter than when they have main events going on. There's murmuring about the snake going up against toraguma from the sidelines and then there it is: majima versus the oni boss. ]

[ He is doing his best to keep it together in front of the new Shutens, but Majima is... not doing all right. What happened during the curse lingers on him, painful secrets exposed in places he wasn't ready to expose them. While the turf war may have been put aside, he's not entirely pleased with the results even if Shuten came out with everything they asked for. He's also recently learned some interesting tidbits... about his own future. The pills are hard to swallow and he is angry, in piercing emotional pain.

He is not an emotionally intelligent man. Pulling these many different emotions apart to examine is entirely too much for him when the pain is still fresh. He's vibrating with spiteful, snappish energy.

You will find him most often at the Arena, practicing mostly with the oni. He's gotten much stronger recently, and he can play much rougher with the other yokai. If you want to take a turn with him... he'll agree, but be wary. He's not pulling any punches.

You can also find him in the Shuten neighborhoods, doing collections and walk throughs. If oyu know him, you may notice that he is a bit more vicious than usual with the people who owe them money. He doesn't have any patience for bullshit and his anger is palpable. It's making the business owners sweat. He smashed up a lot of shit while the turf war was still in play, and they don't want their shop to meet the end of his baseball bat.

In general, he is around... but you probably don't want to bump into him. ]

[ She's not out much. She's not doing shifts at any of the clubs at the moment, much to the disappointment to her modest but loyal group of regulars. She just doesn't have it in her to pretend presently, and despite the Stardust would certainly say that joy is in short supply.

But she does make it out one evening, dressed without much flare for a high maintenance snake lady such as herself. She's just seated herself at a picnic table on one of the prettier walks along the river. She's mostly just sitting by herself, eating takoyaki and watching either the river of the pedestrians in mournful quiet. Eventually she sits smoking a cigarette and just watching the streaks of falling Stardust... ]

⭐ Hey, whatever else! Go for it!

[ Sparring practice was a little rougher than it usually is. Nothing alarming, but he's pushing her more this week, brushing off the bite of the metal she flings at him without much notice. She should be pleasantly bruised and exhausted by the time he's done with her. He smiles at her, charming and rakish and self-satisfied. ]

That do it for ya?

[ He knows the answer though, knows he's teasing, and is there to follow her back to where she's staying. He picks her up as soon as they're in the door and kisses her deeply. ]

[ He is not sure he can actually relax for this spa trip. He has a perpetual pounding headache lately, and just feels sour and moody. He barely wants to be around anyone because he can feel the razor edge of his snappishness. But when it was put to him that Emily won't go without you he had to relent. They can't use each other as excuses not to relax. So he scuffs his shoe on the pavement while he waits outside, a cigarette drooping from his lip. ]

[apology is written across her expression when she arrives. Hibiki has a way of causing problems that she has to unpick when awake, and this was another one. at the same time, while she did want Majima to relax, she knows that right now, he needs a careful and patient touch, not to be shoved around.]

...Sorry about all of this trouble. We don't actually have to do this.

[he could just go. she wouldn't fault him for anything with that.]

(he shouldn't live around here, but he does... as lowkey as someone like him can get, with the blue hair and the piercings, exactly the reason why he's got a hoodie covering his face, a cap, and the chain that connects his earring to his lip adornment isn't hanging. he definitely doesn't belong here, with the beefy types and yakuza feel, when he's as skinny and as soft as they come.

and unfortunately, he bumps into this man, the angry aura pretty much leaking from the other and -- well, shit.)

[the Stardust has them in a bolder mood. they don't need to ask, they merely layer their whole self over Emily, and let her go to sleep, convincing her it's for the best. and that means when Chijoku shows his face, it's Hibiki who will greet him, all sharp smiles and wings and inhuman affection.]

Apologies for my absence as of late. That rain was...troublesome.

[ It was more challenging than she was used to but she wasn't disappointed. That was what she signed up for. She isn't improving if she isn't pushed to the limits of what she can take. As long as she still stands she wants to keep going but she's also aware of having reached a point of diminishing returns. Rest would do her more good.

But first there's a certain tension she's built up throughout the training session to be dealt with. It took discipline not to be distracted. She doesn't mind him leaving her with a few marks. Now behind the closed door of her apartment she can finally touch him and kiss him the way she's been wanting to. She holds him tightly as she returns the kiss, nails biting into bare skin. ]

[Blink blink. Oh, she'd seen this guy on the network somewhere hadn't she? Or at the beach. She wasn't sure. But as she'd been admiring the watch for a moment, she paused and turned to look at him.]

Would you believe me if I said I found it in the dumpster?

[...uh, she might have actually found it in a dumpster. But she wouldn't admit to actually having been dumpster diving, looking for stardust.]

[ Chris isn't going a round with Majima. Hell, he could probably break her nose by looking at her really hard like this.

...he's strong. Maybe she's not the only person here who's just a 'human', and feeling inadequate isn't new either, but the level of strength some people here have is overwhelming. They assigned her to a clan that uses power to solve their problems, in a place where the weapon she uses just doesn't seem to exist.

They didn't even learn that much unarmed combat. Some of them could manage, but if you had to fistfight a dragon you were already dead. Now she watches, curious and obviously frustrated and desperately praying that she's not going to be stuck needing power to earn the chance for more power. ]

[ He smiles at them with stupid affection. Chijoku isn't interested in human things, what Hibiki is suits him just fine. He appreciates their sharp pieces and their esoteric wisdom and their smoky incense and feathers. ]

Did you scare her, huddling up like that?

[ His sympathy for Emily is only about quarter genuine, he doesn't have genuine sympathy for much of anything. He lifts the bag of goodies instead. Meat and stardust and sake. ]

She'll get over it.

[ His smile spreads. ]

[ He chokes on a laugh. Yeah, well. That's where the stupid thing deserves to be. He deeply isn't concerned about things and has been clear about it several times to the watch's actual owner. ]

Sure would.

[ Poetic justice. ]

[ She's determined and dedicated, he appreciates her continued attention to improving. It's something he can respect in anyone, but it's a little more potent when it's a woman he's stupid for. The sex doesn't help his stupidity, certainly. She catches his wild energy with the same intensity she puts in out on the mats, and he's not afraid to let it out. She's clawing and grabbing too.

He presses her back into the wall, sinking in against her. His hands can wander up her body while she's braced into the wall, sliding up her shirt to fondle the pert cup of her breast. His mouth slides a little ways across her jaw in heated kisses before his fangs ghost along her pulse.

His scales are smooth and cool against her skin, but they'll warm up. The warmth of his skin used to be more visible underneath the white plate, but his hide has grown thicker, and now it simply shows pearlescent. The pigments of his tattoo at least have been pulled into the color of his scales; it would be a pity if it was lost underneath, it means a lot to him. ]

[ It's the pettiest reaction, the stereotypical yakuza script, and that's what makes it path of least resistance for Majima. He gives the kid a snide, condescending look. ]

Ya ever heard've stayin' outta th'way, brat?

[ Why else do you think yakuza strut around here if not to intimidate people? Remind them that they're always watching and that their commitment to violence is always waiting. ]

Th'fuck ya even doin' around here?

[ Azem had said they would be watching and honestly he doesn't doubt their commitment, they have a mischievous streak and are given to enjoying things for the pure frivolity of it. He doesn't want to fight with them about it. He doesn't want to fight with Emily about it. His face is not happy, but he motions Emily in ahead of him. ]

C'mon. We got an appointment.

[ He doesn't notice immediately, focused on his oni sparring partner. He's physically smaller than them, although pretty big for a human, and that does equate to a meaningful amount of speed that he uses to his advantage as much as he can. He is also aggravatingly nimble, he can attack even when it seems like he's on the floor and he dodges and rolls with ease. He gives as good as he gets and honestly maybe a little more than that, he's all in and it irritates the yokai into responding in kind. They're both bloodier than they were at the start by the time they part ways, which makes a typical Shuten perfectly content. They touch fists as they part.

He's about as calm as he's going to be, having used up much of his dark energy in the bout. He glances at Chris as he takes a big drink of water. ]

Chris, yeah?

[ There's a chart of everyone in the clan the family offices. He actually does pay attention to it and has a general idea of who all the Shutens are. ]

Yer a little small t'be fightin' oni.

[ He's not in the best mood he's ever been in, but his sense of duty towards the new Shutens is enough to power him through. Even if it might not be the best first impression of him anyone's ever had... Majima is pretty easy to recognize when he shows up at the housing: he's the big snake guy with the eye patch. He sits down in the somewhat raggedy common area of the shared housing and instructs someone else to go let Haru know that he's around. He'll assuredly have lit a cigarette by the time she appears.

They... don't allow women into the yakuza in Tokyo. He especially doesn't really know what to do with the pack of teenage girls they've taken on this time around. But it's not up to him who comes in and he'll do his best to just do right by the girls too. He glances up wearily, ]

Hey. Ya got a tie picked out, or we practicin' with mine?

[ It's not the same silk tie his girlfriend bought for him, that was recently burned up in an apartment fire. But he did his best to replace it. ]

[ Smaller than an oni, bigger than Chris by a hell of a lot. Fast, strong, strong enough to take a hit and dish it back out.

It's a lot more than Chris can imagine handling. She perks up slightly that he's already got her name memorized. ]

Y-yeah, that's me. I was just watching and - wondering. I guess wondering how to get stronger, aside from... normal exercise, that's not gonna do anything really.

She's already talking about forgiveness. I think it's sweet.

[you know, like a pet that just wants to be attended to, giving you love without looking if you're giving it back. cute, harmless, infinitely easy to play with. their host has survived worse than a month of the silent treatment.]

Storms are better slept through, anyway. I'm more amazed the Sanzu left you intact.
