[ The problem with fighting in the sewers is one's eyesight can't always be relied upon. Dante might have a way around that, Azem certainly doesn't know for sure. One would think with their glowing blue eyes they'd have some form of dark or lowlight vision, or have a way to see through the smoke and fog that rises within the underground, but they don't. They can usually rely upon their foresight to foresee potential danger, alas that's been as nerfed as anything else.
So they come around the corner and take a fist to the face. Pain flashes through their face, sending them reeling back with a cry of pained surprise. They're momentarily blinded, brain all fogged up from the sharp pain of their most likely broken nose.
When enough of their senses come back to them they let out a muffled laugh, hand still over their face. ]
